Man. This contract is unspoken and need to be furfill. But to have so many gather to furfill it speak volumes of our respect to the Lord Of Geo himself.
Raiden pursues Eternity but Zhongli is far above as he has already conquered and accepted it. Hes above mortals. Theres a reason why he's the oldest and strongest character in genshin ACC to lore. Hes also the god of China (Liyue) the most developed nation. He also has several adeptus that are super op like Xiao whos archon level under him (plus Xiao is like the middle part between Raiden and Zhongli. Zhongli fully accepted passage of time and death of friends. Xiao accepted it but stayed away from people to not get hurt by it again (probs bcuz the karmic binds make him even more hurt than usual). And Raiden just goes crazy and is unable to accept passage of time. I think Yae is also like Zhongli and has accepted the passage of time. Zhongli probs wont get too sad when Childe and Hu Tao dies he has accepted his curse. Xiao will probably get sad so he stays away from it to not go crazy. Raiden will go crazy about it.

This is a million times better than the pyro archon trailer…that one was just confusing and oppressive. Zhongli trailer is great. You feel his warmth and kindness as well as his authority, intelligence and mystery. you totally understand his character and playstyle from this…like a trailer is supposed to do. Y'know, I've watched this trailer so many times I've lost count, and yet this is the first time I've put together that Zhongli is taking over for the storyteller at the start? Because he says: "We last left of with ancient Liyue beset by an ocean demon and a mountain dragon, Rex Lapis mustered his adepti to restore peace to the land, They say that before he set out he spoke these words:" And then, the very first thing Zhongli actually says in the trailer is the continuation of that! "This is an age of gods and monsters. I wish not for dominion, yet I cannot let the common folk suffer." That *is* what Rex Lapis said before he set out! Obviously, Zhongli is remembering the events has they happened, that's why the scenery begins to gray out, why the camera spins and the room changes, it's literally showcasing *him* in the past, saying those very words. That's such a cool detail that I've missed for four damn years, omg. I'm glad I finally caught on!

Y'know, I've watched this trailer so many times I've lost count, and yet this is the first time I've put together that Zhongli is taking over for the storyteller at the start? Because he says:

And then, the very first thing Zhongli actually says in the trailer is the continuation of that!

That *is* what Rex Lapis said before he set out! Obviously, Zhongli is remembering the events has they happened, that's why the scenery begins to gray out, why the camera spins and the room changes, it's literally showcasing *him* in the past, saying those very words. That's such a cool detail that I've missed for four damn years, omg. I'm glad I finally caught on!

I couldn't bear watching the Mavuika trailer, so I came back to this to freshen my mind. what is going on with current genshin seriously
I guess they just wanted to go for a more trendy and shareable and "cool" experience with Natlan, but by god this fumble should be studied. I cannot name one thing outside of exploration (which was always great with some dips) and music that I like about this region. You simply cannot condition your customers to a certain (mind you SUCCESSFUL) way of handling things, and suddenly do a massive shift and not expect many to be weirded out.

While fulfilling the contract, I find the name Zhongli very interesting. The original Chinese characters are 钟 (Zhong) and 离 (li). The character 钟(Zhong) = 钅 (Gold) + 中(China), and the 离(li) = 璃(Liyue) - 王(Lord/king).
