After watching Acheron's trailer I remember once again the Shogun's demo and went here, it gave the same vibe of a powerful character and send shivers again, no doubt The Inazuma Era is the peak of Genshin.
As much i love all of inazuma characters design (especially my waifu Raiden), i know exactly that inazuma era wasn't the peak of genshin, that era was full of disappointment

I've been a player since 2022 so I didn't experience this when it dropped but I wish I did. Raiden is my favourite character and every now and then, I revisit this trailer. Cinematically beautiful, ost that gives me goosebumps, amazing character. My heart aches watching this, knowing how much Raiden went through. I wish I could experience her for the first time all over again. Wow. Just. Wow.

@@KamisatoElias It's not supposed to be defined, her eternity is eternity itself, everything and anything forever and never ending, which by itself is a contradiction, so it's bound to fail from the very beginning. But in a way it can be achieved through a cycle or a never ending loop of events and it's up to you if you believe a cycle counts as never ending or not.
That is actually an intentional move from MHY. Eternity in the land of fast lightning is a big contradiction and that's why Baal's intentions seem irrational.

@margosfantastic imo I love the flash in baal's trailer because it mostly likely suites her, while Zhongli is more calm and his trailer suits him but raiden's music for me hits different, but it's too random at some points while Zhongli's music is just 👌, overall I prefer baal's trailer way more.
Too early to say whether it is a general improvement or a one time thing. After all, this character is one of the most hyped so it only makes sense to make her videos epic. How will they introduce the next barbara tho. That remains to be seen.

Here's the thing about the Raiden Shogun. You can watch Zhongli and Venti's demos, and without subtle hints from Zhongli's voicelines, you could definitely mistake them for mere visionbearers. But watching this demo, you cant mistake Raiden for anything but a god. There's just so much power running in this whole video.
If you think more, actually (for now) only raiden that is currently active as God and serve her people directly. Plus, the people only know the shogun as strict ruler due to the puppet mechanic, but Ei is actually very chill after met traveller.

the only thing i want from raiden is i want her to be pure Evil or antagonistic instead being a 'gray' character like childe. That will be unique, having an evil goddess as character is more exciting than having mainstream 'good guy' like zhongli/venti
I just wanna feel the same level of hype for a character like this again. Shenhe is coming up and she seems awesome but it's gonna be hard to match someone like Raiden, here's to waiting til the next archon.
Both this and "The Listener" are top tier, and there are some pretty cool parallels between the Shogun's trailer and Zhongli's. Both start out with another person's narration. Zhongli, under disguise as a normal citizen of Liyue, listens to a storyteller recounting a legend with him none the wiser about his true identity. Yae talks about the Shogun's motivations as a whole, and while Yae knows her personally she seems to take a more neutral tone and is physically nowhere near the Shogun, who is shown watching over her domain. Zhongli is a "deceased" god and no longer looks after Liyue after his retirement, yet he seems arguably closer to his people than the Raiden Shogun, who is a living legend actively ruling over Inazuma.
Zhong is like that lovable dad that understands and wants his kids to grow. Baal is a oppresive Karen who wants her kids to be a specific way at the expense of their happiness.
I think that’s inevitable that her goals will be out of touch with reality. The pursuit of eternity is inherently at odds with the constant change and chaos the world depends on. Even if Baal’s eternity was initially more self-directed, like Lisa or Fischl’s, instead of the entire nation, we’ve already seen from her trailer that she outlives her friends and others that orbit around her. It’s a natural progression then that she would try to extend her eternity out further to protect every facet of her life.

But in a way it can be achieved through a cycle or a never ending loop of events and it's up to you if you believe a cycle counts as never ending or not.
She meant eternal transcience which is something that happen for a short time.
That is actually an intentional move from MHY. Eternity in the land of fast lightning is a big contradiction and that's why Baal's intentions seem irrational.

Here's the thing about the Raiden Shogun.
You can watch Zhongli and Venti's demos, and without subtle hints from Zhongli's voicelines, you could definitely mistake them for mere visionbearers.
But watching this demo, you cant mistake Raiden for anything but a god. There's just so much power running in this whole video.
If you think more, actually (for now) only raiden that is currently active as God and serve her people directly. Plus, the people only know the shogun as strict ruler due to the puppet mechanic, but Ei is actually very chill after met traveller.
Yes thats because both venti and zhongli are hiding the fact they are archons and want to live as normal people while raiden isnt shes still actively ruling her nation

Both this and "The Listener" are top tier, and there are some pretty cool parallels between the Shogun's trailer and Zhongli's.
Both start out with another person's narration. Zhongli, under disguise as a normal citizen of Liyue, listens to a storyteller recounting a legend with him none the wiser about his true identity.
Yae talks about the Shogun's motivations as a whole, and while Yae knows her personally she seems to take a more neutral tone and is physically nowhere near the Shogun, who is shown watching over her domain.
Zhongli is a "deceased" god and no longer looks after Liyue after his retirement, yet he seems arguably closer to his people than the Raiden Shogun, who is a living legend actively ruling over Inazuma.
Archon always build different
Zhong is like that lovable dad that understands and wants his kids to grow.
Baal is a oppresive Karen who wants her kids to be a specific way at the expense of their happiness.
I think that’s inevitable that her goals will be out of touch with reality. The pursuit of eternity is inherently at odds with the constant change and chaos the world depends on.
Even if Baal’s eternity was initially more self-directed, like Lisa or Fischl’s, instead of the entire nation, we’ve already seen from her trailer that she outlives her friends and others that orbit around her.
It’s a natural progression then that she would try to extend her eternity out further to protect every facet of her life.
