the reason zhongli hang out with the traveller is because zhongli wants the traveller to see the real history and remember them. after thousands of years, the story told by the people has change and is no longer the same as what has happened. if you listen carefully, what the storyteller say and what zhongli say are actually different... that is the erosion of time he is talking about... he is not much there to hear about his friend, he is there because he know he is the only one that actually still remember them as they were... thus he exist to carry their memories...
Just like in his story, He aged like a "rock that erode overtime due to wind and rain" It's a reminder to us in real life, that whatever you have in this world, if it's someone, family, or wealth, all of it will be gone one by one....

the overarching story is great. But the dialogues, as always... not. Yanfei's story writing is especially cringe. They have zero clue on how to write a *brilliant female lawyer* character with compelling conclusion to the story. The way they write her dialogue to show how smart she is are full of holes, defeating that exact purpose. Also it's obvious they try to make everything ends nice and well, but the delivery is awful. She's supposed to be a sharp lawyer too, but the side characters are acting like a bunch of caricatures, showing non-human like traits, like how the scammer acted all mighty and strong, but suddenly crumbles down and accepting defeat like a total noob scammer, unlike how his profession suggest. And how the scammed went from close to losing everything into suddenly nice and bright, acting like a goddess forgiving everything with zero consequence even after going on such length to self preservation. And how everyone just accept that the scammer learnt his lesson and suddenly will be a good guy together with the scammed.... and yanfei is supposed to be the sharp one in that situation, but she just went ciao... ugh nice overarching story, but dumb, terrible dialogues. I'm in a position where I just skip story dialogues and take my canon info from the character stories and archive instead.
Why is it that every Zhongli Quest is just godlike? Everything about his quests just makes me feel things like goosebumps all over. Oh how I wish I can reset myself and play it all over again. I love him so much, I wanted to hug him when he has to say good bye to another old friend of his.

Personally the best part about this story teaser is that it has 2 parallel "stories" going on at the same time: one told by the storyteller that is based on myth, and one told by the Geo Archon himself that is based on actual events. You really see how time can change perspective of things and come to understand the effects of erosion through time.
I cried so hard during this quest. Now I have the confirm. Many archon will be revealed into this game, but Morax, will always be the one who I first main in my entire genshin era...🧡

@@kai4344 almost all of my friends didn't play this game because it's too huge, their phone and PC can't handle it, and they don't have enough money to buy a new device for this game. I had a 4 GB RAM phone, and I can't played it. So I begged to my mom, and she told me if I get good grades, she will buy me a new one with better spec. I did what she wants, and she kept her promise. Man Genshin is amazing, the story writing is really good, I always paid attention to the story, even though some of those are boring as hell. This game has some its downside (like Paimon), but I won't deny the good side of this game.

This may sound random but, I genuinely find Zhongli more godlike than Venti or even Baal. There is this poised demeanor and elegance in how he behaves even around the traveller. Also his story quests like these gives such ancient godly feeling. Ei also has that kind of stuff, but I like Zhongli more than her. He's more approachable and is willing to offer any help to the traveller. He's not some boring tsundere who keeps himself locked up somewhere like a spoilt kid throwing a tantrum. Baal seems more like a tyrant and Ei's irresponsibility of dictating people just for Eternity made me dislike her even more. Venti is just a tiny little bard who always drinks and bums around though. 🤣 Among the seven his behaviour and ideals are very different.

She’s easy to manipulate and deceive as shown through the Fatui, she loves sweet foods like desserts, she hides in the plane of euthymia
They based Zhongli on the ideal, perfect emperor/ruler in Ancient China, well at least Morax is. After getting their Gnosis taken away, they all seem like normal folks which I think is what Mihoyo is going for

Okay but coming back to this, I’ve noticed how detailed the music is!! If you listen to 0:50 when the violin hits you can hear Zhongli’s leitmotif (from his character song, Rex Incognito) in it! There’s several other songs from the OST that have the appropriate character’s leitmotif too (based on where the song is used in the game ofc) but this is one of the more obvious ones. I love the attention to detail.

the overarching story is great. But the dialogues, as always... not.
Yanfei's story writing is especially cringe. They have zero clue on how to write a *brilliant female lawyer* character with compelling conclusion to the story.
The way they write her dialogue to show how smart she is are full of holes, defeating that exact purpose. Also it's obvious they try to make everything ends nice and well, but the delivery is awful. She's supposed to be a sharp lawyer too, but the side characters are acting like a bunch of caricatures, showing non-human like traits, like how the scammer acted all mighty and strong, but suddenly crumbles down and accepting defeat like a total noob scammer, unlike how his profession suggest. And how the scammed went from close to losing everything into suddenly nice and bright, acting like a goddess forgiving everything with zero consequence even after going on such length to self preservation. And how everyone just accept that the scammer learnt his lesson and suddenly will be a good guy together with the scammed.... and yanfei is supposed to be the sharp one in that situation, but she just went ciao... ugh
nice overarching story, but dumb, terrible dialogues. I'm in a position where I just skip story dialogues and take my canon info from the character stories and archive instead.

Why is it that every Zhongli Quest is just godlike? Everything about his quests just makes me feel things like goosebumps all over. Oh how I wish I can reset myself and play it all over again. I love him so much, I wanted to hug him when he has to say good bye to another old friend of his.

Personally the best part about this story teaser is that it has 2 parallel "stories" going on at the same time: one told by the storyteller that is based on myth, and one told by the Geo Archon himself that is based on actual events. You really see how time can change perspective of things and come to understand the effects of erosion through time.
As an honest Genshin Impact fan I have to say FIFA is a more quality game than Genshin Impact.

I had a 4 GB RAM phone, and I can't played it. So I begged to my mom, and she told me if I get good grades, she will buy me a new one with better spec. I did what she wants, and she kept her promise. Man Genshin is amazing, the story writing is really good, I always paid attention to the story, even though some of those are boring as hell. This game has some its downside (like Paimon), but I won't deny the good side of this game.

This may sound random but, I genuinely find Zhongli more godlike than Venti or even Baal.
There is this poised demeanor and elegance in how he behaves even around the traveller. Also his story quests like these gives such ancient godly feeling.
Ei also has that kind of stuff, but I like Zhongli more than her. He's more approachable and is willing to offer any help to the traveller. He's not some boring tsundere who keeps himself locked up somewhere like a spoilt kid throwing a tantrum. Baal seems more like a tyrant and Ei's irresponsibility of dictating people just for Eternity made me dislike her even more.
Venti is just a tiny little bard who always drinks and bums around though. 🤣 Among the seven his behaviour and ideals are very different.
i get where you're coming from. in my opinion baal is more godlike from a power standpoint. Tbh whenever i think of a "god" i think of someone far beyond and removed from humans which isn't necessarily a good thing, and who are pretty powerful without any help whatsoever, and that's who "baal" is. she didn't even need her gnosis lmao she took signora out as easy as sleeping while venti (we both agree he's jus a bard lmao) struggled against some ice around his feet. I’d say Zhongli is more godlike in terms of maturity and just how wise he is. For Ei, she seeks eternity, and only eternity. Part of its a coping mechanism after losing Baal, the other part is that’s just what she’s known and sought out for the longest time. Ei is very immature in comparison to Zhongli, despite her regal status. She’s literally like a teenager. She’s easy to manipulate and deceive as shown through the Fatui, she loves sweet foods like desserts, she hides in the plane of euthymia

Okay but coming back to this, I’ve noticed how detailed the music is!! If you listen to 0:50 when the violin hits you can hear Zhongli’s leitmotif (from his character song, Rex Incognito) in it!
There’s several other songs from the OST that have the appropriate character’s leitmotif too (based on where the song is used in the game ofc) but this is one of the more obvious ones. I love the attention to detail.
