      @@tomhier313 Dude. . . Did you watch the video? I'm a female and it's pretty plain... that's the whole point of this video... if it's red or yellow you have to bleed the freon out till in the green to fix it. However, ur not supposed to do that because it bleeds out into the air. . . So I'm not telling you to bleed it. Watch the video AGAI and look at the guy's GAUGE.

  • @Lonbites

    Sir, I have a question. I have a 2011 Camry. Replaced my compressor last year. My passenger side blows cold most of the time while my driver side doesn’t blow ice cold but more so warm or cool if that. My mechanic said I probably have a leak somewhere but it would be too costly to replace or look for it( got 176k miles on it ) so I plugged the same ac charge you got. I’m at about 48 in the green where 50 is top green before it goes yellow. What do you suggest I do to get my ac blowing cold? Bleed it til it’s extremely low then fill it up again or ??? Summer in Texas is just too hot to not have my ac blowing top tier. Thank you.

    • @VehVeloMedia
      @VehVeloMedia  Месяц назад

      It sounds like it could be your air door actuator behind the dash of your vehicle Thats causing it to blow cold on one side and warm on the other. Low charge can also cause this issue but may not be the case with your 2011 Camry. Also how bad is the leak? Is it a slow leak? Usually when you recharge or bleed the A/C system both sides should be equally cold.
      If you cold get some A/C dye and find the leak yourself with a dye light as well this would be more cost effective as well.

    So simple and super helpful! I thought I ruined my AC by overcharging it even though it looked undercharged while I was in the process of filling it. If you have a 2009-2013 Carolla, it seems to be more accurate to base your PSI measurements off of the first 30ish seconds after you turn on the AC and the compressor kicks on. When the AC has been running for a while it seems to make the PSI reading drop lower than what is actually accurate for recharging purposes.

Problem details: A/C works blow cold 42 degree when it is outside temp is below 65 degrees, AC blows hot air at 75 degree temp . Essentially when it got too hot outside the over filled refrigerant would expand and quick working. Just let some refrigerant out to fix the problem! 🧊🧊🧊🧊 ice cold air 🧊🧊🧊🧊 Pro Tip: use a meat thermometer in your air vent.

    Just for the record, you probably do not have “Freon” in a newer car. R-134A replaced that many years ago. And I understand they got some other bull crap out now. Only I heard that it’s very flammable and you can’t mix it with the other stuff. That said, my old gauge had a rim around the outside and when you turned it there was a V indicator with the arrow in the center, so you would set that onto the temperature (listed on gauge)with the arrow facing the temperature of the actual outside air while you are charging it. Note that the newer gauge that fits the newer gauge did not have this feature, and it’s important to have this. I will tell you were there is a big difference when it is very hot and when it is not as hot, the gauge goes to different spots when air is cycling. This may be why you said the gauge is not accurate until you wait a while. Yes you should only read it when you can hear it cycling and it will bounce up and then back down. It’s not doing that it’s not cycling. Each time it cycles you would see it the gauge arrow go up and then back down. But apparently some thing and I wasn’t told before and make sure I used an older gauge with an adapter because it has the setting on the new one did not so I had overfilled it. Here is another tip. I found on RUclips. Press your finger on the off and on the floor button at the same time then click your auto and it will diagnose your AC and perhaps bring up codes you can also keep running the diagnosis it actually cleared my codes and then my buttons now work correctly. Sometimes it only blows at one side or the other or maybe you lost your defroster etc. on the control panel inside the car. So yes I kept running the diagnostic and it did clear all the codes. I’m still having a problem but it eliminated the problem of it not blowing out on the floor. If you have a Lincoln town car mine is a 2006. People see the filter is behind the glove compartment on some videos and this is not true. If you open your hood it’s on the passenger side under the hood at the bottom of the window on the left side you have to pop the grade off and I did this and some idiot had taken out the filter there wasn’t even a filter on it. Of course there’s filters outside here if you use the circulation which is using the already cool air to circulate instead of outside air air conditioner is going to work better and not harder and you won’t get outside air coming in your car. Anyway, there’s a few helpful hints. I still got a problem so I gotta keep going.

    Bro. You did and said several things wrong, but you got to your point.
    Never leak freon into the atmosphere: $10k fine and there is video evidence. Next you should not remove freon from the suction side. Last, Freon does not pull water, it is just cold and oily: -40F.

    • @Erik-ui8tr
      @Erik-ui8tr 2 года назад

      What did he say wrong? He said you shouldn't just let it leak out the way he's doing it as he was doing it... The fact that he said the way he's doing it isn't proper procedure should be enough to know whatever side he's removing it from is irrelevant it's the improper procedure to begin with. Lastly he didn't say anything about water he never even said water, he said moisture and if you yourself said it's oily that implies moisture smart guy. So he did the legally wrong procedure but he said everything right about what he was doing

    When you confirm overcharging leave a car overnight & on cold engine drain the one or two psi becouse the filler valve on low pressure its on the highes point & all air in the system will be on that point when is stayng overnight so you will drain the air out. Afther you start the car & comlete the process like you show in this video.

    • @acemoto2319

      @@VehVeloMedia Maybe he means that leaving car overnight allows air to form at top of AC Low pressure valve. So when discharging with cold car, the air or R134a gas will leave while oils lubricating system will stay.

    When I hook the gauge up to my AC shows that it's overcharged. With The AC on full blast, I hooked up a similar gauge and it was at like 70 PSI, So I began to bleed the pressure like you are doing in this video but all kinds of green refrigerant started spraying out every time I pulled the trigger and for some reason the psi pressure was not going down very much. Should i have done this with The car running in the AC in the off position instead? I noticed in your video it's just air being released You don't see any yellowish green refrigerant spraying up when pulling the trigger on the tool

    This saved me too! I needed to add some refrigerant but I think the gauge is just a bit of a bum gauge, seems to stick a little so even though I was completely in the green zone, the A/C was blowing warm so I fixed it today by using this method and I had to fiddle with the gauge a bit by cycling the compressor a couple times but I finally got it at that sweet spot and now the A/C is blowing nice and cold!

    • @debrapolenz2928
      @debrapolenz2928 Год назад

      Well, you need a gauge that has the thing you turn and point to the temperature that it is outside or you won’t be correctly filling to start with. I noticed my old gauge which I put an adapter on for the new cans has this and my new gauge did not. Otherwise, if you don’t use the actual temperature outside, it won’t be in the correct spot where you’re supposed to fill it to.

    • @debrapolenz2928
      @debrapolenz2928 Год назад

      Oh, and also the compressor is supposed to be running when you’re checking it anyway, if the compressor is not running, you can’t feel it that way it has to run in water and take it in and for you to read the gauge correctly if it’s not cycling so you always have to wait for that before. Anyway they tell you that on the can if you read it.

      70 PSI is a high sfor low side but not dangerously high. Usually 50 psi is ok. If its not cooling like you its possible something wrong with the A/C system or expansion valve or a clogged evaporator
