Ok wait you guys don't understand, I got into K-pop at the age of 9 with the Wonder Girl's 'Tell Me' and imagine my SHOCK after seeing a trailer for this movie on TeenNick, *I literally screamed.*
Wonder Girls will forever be a legendary group. So different, unique and made such an impact. Such beautiful and talented women. They deserved more. It'll be so cool if we got another movie/documentary of them all tho❤️
The amount of JYP in that movie was astounding. I do not know if he was some producer, one of the writers, or something but damn. He had a lot of screen time.
I’ve been listening to kpop since I was 11 years old, so when this movie came out I was 14 and absolutely ecstatic that one of my favourite groups was on TV in Canada ;; huge moment for the Hallyu wave!
This video brings back fun memories of the Wonder Girls movie! I'm remembering seeing a ton of JYP in the movie. It's a shame the Wonder Girls didn't make it big in the US, as I think they and K-pop came to the West 10 years too early (back in 2009).
I feel that JYP's expedition to the West wasnt about making wonder girls popular but to make himself popular. That is where ig he made the biggest mistake.
I was a huge Wonder Girls fan at the time (still am), and I remember friends at school coming up to me saying “hey! I saw a commercial for a Wonder Girls movie! Isn’t that the band you like??” So they definitely were reaching the teenage audience as a whole, not just the kpop niche 🙌🏼
Thank you for uploading with captions, it makes all the difference in your content. thank you for another great video and i hope you are healthy and safe!
thinking about the first time i went to new york in middle school and visited the Apollo and was like "cool! the wonder girls was here" and they were like "who??" 😹
Wow, i never know that this movie exist untill now (and i'm not even surprised that jyp have a LOT of scene in this movie). It will be interesting to see other idol's movies too, especially the gen 2 movies. I vividly remember super junior's "attack on the pin-up boys" movie and visibly cringing when watching it again. I hope you could make a video about that movie, you will not be dissapointed 😂
I was a young teen when this movie came out and I watched Teen Nick religiously back then so I remember exactly when this happened lol I was super excited for its premiere and I had even recorded it and re-watched it a bunch even though I had no idea what kpop was or who the wonder girls were back then I didn't REALLY get into Kpop until 2014 when Block B released jackpot
My friends and I were in college when we saw this on the second showing of their premiere night at Koreatown and we were so lucky to see the girls up close (and JYP was there too). The hype was real, but because we were all so excited to be in the presence of the girls. The movie was eh, but I personally like to say dae-BAaaaAAk 🤪 from time to time
Just a correction on a minor detail. It is true Sunmi left the group to focus on her studies but she did not leave the company. She stayed under JYP even after leaving the group, and as we know, eventually debuted solo as well.
"trigger warning jyp" is sending me, but so valid 😂 I dont think was still watching much tv by the time this came out so I never saw it, but its wild to think about
I got into kpop because of Wonder Girls and when i saw that this movie came out i was like "i'm watching this and nothing else matter". I have to say i really enjoyed the movie and i really like to go back to it once in a while 😉
I remember seeing the trailer for this when I was 14 I was so shocked bc this was the first time I saw one of fav kpop groups on tv. also it was still around the koop wasn't ready known. it was exciting seeing them with the school gyrls bc i also loved them.
Just a recommendation for your next video - kpop lost media : the Indian music video of 4 minute's volume up (it is the hindi version of 4 minute's song volume up made by 4 minute) P.S. love your videos 💜💜💜
You better do one on Attack on the Pin-Up boys. And have a whole segment about how Ryeowook steals the show from all the cast while just holding a giant toothbrush ;)
I think with everything the Wonder girls did to promote themselves in the USA, Girls Generation probably had more air time on the radio with their english songs.
The Wonder Girls were literally my gateway into Kpop… So Hot was the promotion and I was hooked!! People for get what artist like the Wonder Girls did for Kpop as we know it in the US today! I mean WHO WAS TOURING WITH THE JONAS BROTHERS!?!?!? Who?!? Okay!
Wow watched this movie (I was 11) and it got me into kpop. A couple years later I watch it again and actually revognize jyp. I started laughing cuz the first time I watched it I didn’t know who the heck he was😂
I was a Wonderful from the beginning, but I hated this movie so much. It was the Wonder Girls first real opportunity to show the West what they could do, and instead they got a poorly written mess of a movie that didn't showcase their personalities or even their music at all. Sorry, but a movie about a girl group has one purpose: sell music and personalities. How do you manage to fail at BOTH!?

For me it seems more like that he tried to be around the girls so the producers dont put them in a weird situation
I’ve been listening to kpop since I was 11 years old, so when this movie came out I was 14 and absolutely ecstatic that one of my favourite groups was on TV in Canada ;; huge moment for the Hallyu wave!
This movie is the reason I’m into kpop, I was 11 when it came out😭
Ahh yes! I remember watching the wonder girls movie and series on Nickelodeon when I was like 14-15!
I'm more interested in watching your reaction than the movie itself.

I remember watching this when I was little and started singing Nobody all the time. I didn't know it was kpop until I got a little older.

I got into kpop because of Wonder Girls and when i saw that this movie came out i was like "i'm watching this and nothing else matter". I have to say i really enjoyed the movie and i really like to go back to it once in a while 😉
Never watched it but I knew it existed at least for a year now

Never heard of the movie but maybe it would be a good blind react video 🧐
Super Junior has a good cinematic universe with that their mini films and Mystery 6
This movie is what got me into kpop :)
I was 10 when this came out😭😭 my older sister lived kpop and this was THE movie
I vaguely remember it so vaguely it hurts
Even though when I was younger I didn't get to see this movie.
let's goooo !!
when i was in elementary school during this time my friend and I would joke about going to a jonas brothers concert just to see wonder girls
I would love to see this movie.
*RELEASE THE FOOTAGE!!!!*
I think with everything the Wonder girls did to promote themselves in the USA, Girls Generation probably had more air time on the radio with their english songs.
it may be the Jyp version of the Spice Girls movie
That’s such an accurate description 😭😭😭🤚
HOLY SHIT I JUST RECOGNIZED THE ACTOR WHO PLATED THE LOVE INTEREST. Any Lizzie Bennet Diaries fans here? Mind: blown.
Okay, but who told JYP he could act-
I am seriously surprised at how good jyps english is...
Who?!? Okay!
I had no idea that this movie exists because it wasn't dubbed into latin american spanish. What an unexpected thing.
I JUST WATCHED IT YESTERDAY
Damn, I’ve been into kpop since 2010 and I never heard about this movie lol. I’m gonna have to watch it.
I would love to see your reaction LOL
I've never promised anything like that in my entire American life!!!🤔😥😭😓😤
I miss all the 1st and 2nd gen groups specially girl groups becoz there is hardly any 2nd 0r 1st gen girl grp active rn
I’m crying at bga in the intro, do they even count as kpop? 😭
I think about this movie often lol
Wow watched this movie (I was 11) and it got me into kpop. A couple years later I watch it again and actually revognize jyp. I started laughing cuz the first time I watched it I didn’t know who the heck he was😂

This movie never got to latin America :(
Oh nooo! :( I left the link to the full movie in my description. That’s where I was able to watch the movie
We really cant go ten minutes without jay why pee injecting himself into anything any of his groups do 🙄
i remember being so excited for this movie cuz the wonder girls are one of my fave girl groups, but yeah it was super cringey
First

I actually watched their movie several years ago. It was cringy, but typical for Nickelodeon.
