Nice Javelin. I had one back in 86 when they first came out when I was a teenager. I cannot remember ever having so much fun with an r/c car ever. I so desperatly want another one.
Thanks Gregory! That's awesome, great memories for you mate. They're a great buggy. I've only driven this one once since it's restoration but it was great fun, very smooth to drive. 👍
I dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost my account password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
@King Benedict Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process atm. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
This was my absolute dream RC car back in the day. My parents saw the price and flipped out, so I had to get a paper route (remember those??) to save up and get one. Alas, all I could afford was a Tamiya Frog, but 30+ years later, this car still has a special place for me.
These are nice cars, love the Javelin. I shouldn't have watched. Crazy hobbies still has $105 off the ultima. Been thinking about it all day. I need a nice kyosho. You did a fantastic job of this beast. Goes great to, plenty of power for a good day of bashing.
They are mate! Always been in love with the Optima series of buggies. If it was me, I'd buy the Ultima while it's on sale, but then I'd still buy it if it wasn't on sale 🤣. Thanks mate, it's no 6s beast but goes well for an old brushed banger. 🙂👍
@@RCHobbyShed ha,ha, I just couldn't resist and bought it. The new stuff is good fun and goes well but it's just not the same as the old stuff. The old ultima looks better and with brushless it should go ok. Very high quality from kyosho and the looks are amazing. Will be good fun I can't wait.
Haha, I thought you might cave, I would have too! It will go great brushless. They tend to understeer under power but if you back off a tad when steering they pull in well. You'll see what I mean. They're an awesome buggy, you'll love it!
Thanks Marcos! There are lots of ways to clean different materials. For example, I soda blasted the alloy parts on this Javelin. Most of my restoration videos have some info on what I used for cleaning different parts. Feel free to ask if you need more info. 🙂👍

Not my favourite but sure has something special about it! Another great vid Mick👍
I think you're more of a Tamiya man, am I right? Thanks mate! 🙂👍
How good are the Red shocks compared to the Gold ones? Great looking car btw.
The red shocks are OK but the difference between the red and gold shocks is day and night. The gold shocks are far better. 🙂👍
