In 1988, Mack Trucks Australia made 16 special edition SuperLiner II Bicentennials with the E9-500 V8, Mack 12 speed triple countershaft transmission, Mack front and rear axles, long taper-leaf springs on front and camelback on the rear, Spicer 1810 HD driveshafts and 5842mm (230 inch) wheelbase. The special limited edition models were named after people influential to Australian history, including James Cook, Captain Bligh, Ludwig Leichhardt, Governor Phillip, Ned Kelly, Kingsford Smith, and John Flynn William Hovell.
@davewrathall1985 Pretty sure it's a 3 1/2" pin because that's what they use on roadtrains with more than 2 trailers and most likely big loads like this.
@GrafiteCityLux mate a big wa1200 komatsu loader like that would take about 22weeks to full assemble cab and tyres and all the parts to get it working so id say no quicker on the back
I know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly lost the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Jaime Johnny thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
2 reasons for the high intakes, 1, Cleaner air - less dust get drawn in, not really applicable here I know, but in off road applications, important 2, Cooler air - In central OZ, 40-45 degress C is common and the road temps would go 50+ co the theory is the further away the air intakes are from the road the cooler the air, thus denser air gaining modest increase in HP. I don't know if any one done the science on it but it's common and most inportantly, its looks good
If you watch it is quite obvious that the driving wheels on both trucks are turnng faster than the truck is travelling. It just stands out more on the Mac because of the smoke and rubber on the road.
@geistigunsicher No kidding, did you notice they had like 8 spares on the top of the fifth wheel on the second truck? Wonder how often they burn through a set.
Top stuff mate, the old girl sure is leaving some tread! what diffs are you running in the superdog, still the camel back with mack diffs or upgraded to rockwell 60,000 pounders?
Its really hard to imagine- all that weight being pulled by a 2 1/4 inch pin in the second truck's fifth wheel... boggles my mind. TECHNICALLY pulled by 1/2 inch bolt and a cotter pin that holds the jaws in place in the hitch...
@davewrathall1985 But if you were going to send a 994 from one side of Canada to the other? I've seen 994s like this shifted up to 5,000 kms in Australia.
@gm16v149 I suppose you are right. where I am, we just close a road and drive the machine there lol, we don't break them down and transport like this.. we have B-train pins, but thats it
well, actually it makes sense, considering the landscape of Australia. if you don't want to drive around half the continent, you'll go straight through the desert. but, it doesn't really pay off to just deliver like 44 000 kg (about 97k LBS)of goods over such a distance, so they just send a huge-ass Super liner... kinda makes sense, when you think about it...
Have you ever had any problem with the rear spokes (hubs) on that pull truck slipping inside the rim? I have seen it happen a few times where it will break off the valve stem.
Who cares, this is some serious load. I'm sure the economic advantages of this machinery being hauled to the site are beneficial enough to surpass these micky mouse infractions you speak of. This video is fucking badass, the only thing I'm disappointed about is that they aren't blowing more smoke!
That lead truck has really got some muscle and HHA has some really nice equipment.
thats becuase shes an old 88 mack superliner with 750hp and a v8 sound that say GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY

Beautiful bangers those.
The second truck look amazing, Especially with those pipe !!!
Judging from the rubber being layed down by superliner I think it was towing the entire load aswell as the western star.
laid not layed 😆
@@rowds 😂 thanks for the correction.
She's doing a top job then the old girl!,
I can't wait to see the superdogs down the track some time!
Really nice rigs. I'd be mighty proud of 'em.
thanks, mralex80vechkin. the model is a 6900, hahaha Volvo, that western start have 700+hp so i think that they will be alright
A mack and western!! sweet rides!! V8 diesels are the best!
These trucks and vids are mesmerizing.....
I bet they get through some tires, you can see the rubber being left on the road by the first truck very clearly. Nice display of control and torque.
Looks like the proud dog is putting everything into this one! That's where the rubber meets the road.
Stunnedasmearse your crazy those truck have unbelievable amounts of pulling power
Great footage captured there !!!
Wow - amazing video!
holy moly, they are leaving some rubber behind...or in german:
"Gib Gummi!"
that western start looks preety good not a big fan of western stars but i like this one :)
Impressive work!
liking the paint scheme on the Western Star. nothing crazy. simpler design.
it seems these big V8 Macks are more popular downunder, probably due to the massive payloads you guys like to move :-)
smokine2001,
The Western Star in this video is a 6900 with the registration name NO FEER - winner of the Truckin' Life Rig Of The Year 2008!
Joe
@MrAlex8Ovechkin first truck has a weight over the back wheels to keep it planted, you can see the wheels spinning. more traction = more towing power
@davewrathall1985 Pretty sure it's a 3 1/2" pin because that's what they use on roadtrains with more than 2 trailers and most likely big loads like this.
those macks look very nice and geeze thats a load
@GrafiteCityLux mate a big wa1200 komatsu loader like that would take about 22weeks to full assemble cab and tyres and all the parts to get it working so id say no quicker on the back
Awesome, they sound nice too!
Great video. Amazing trucks: Essential viewing, pity the video wasn't longer!
I know Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a method to log back into an Instagram account?

@Armani Ruben instablaster ;)
@Jaime Johnny thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and Im trying it out now.

@Jaime Johnny it did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thank you so much, you really help me out :D
@Armani Ruben no problem xD

first truck was doing all the work
If you watch it is quite obvious that the driving wheels on both trucks are turnng faster than the truck is travelling. It just stands out more on the Mac because of the smoke and rubber on the road.
@geistigunsicher No kidding, did you notice they had like 8 spares on the top of the fifth wheel on the second truck? Wonder how often they burn through a set.
when it comes to a haul like that you need all the horsepower you can get.
Top stuff mate, the old girl sure is leaving some tread! what diffs are you running in the superdog, still the camel back with mack diffs or upgraded to rockwell 60,000 pounders?
yup yup v8 macks one of the best motors build and strong trucks to
Its really hard to imagine- all that weight being pulled by a 2 1/4 inch pin in the second truck's fifth wheel... boggles my mind. TECHNICALLY pulled by 1/2 inch bolt and a cotter pin that holds the jaws in place in the hitch...
That 1/2 inch bolt your refering too would be an Allen key bolt ⚡ from memory. Your correct awesome power from the Mack.
@davewrathall1985 But if you were going to send a 994 from one side of Canada to the other? I've seen 994s like this shifted up to 5,000 kms in Australia.
i fall in love second truck
Thank you for the heads up.
@MrAlex8Ovechkin it is a western star and its called high roller
@gm16v149 I suppose you are right. where I am, we just close a road and drive the machine there lol, we don't break them down and transport like this.. we have B-train pins, but thats it
@SeniorShaq1 exept on ice road truckers they have push trucks instead of pull trucks
nice trucks...
amazing
now thats a sick ass push pull right there.
LANSD
that looks heavy!!!!!!
well, actually it makes sense, considering the landscape of Australia. if you don't want to drive around half the continent, you'll go straight through the desert. but, it doesn't really pay off to just deliver like 44 000 kg (about 97k LBS)of goods over such a distance, so they just send a huge-ass Super liner... kinda makes sense, when you think about it...
@MrAlex8Ovechkin It is a Western Star 6900
It's a steel pole that they use in Aussie, normally they rarely use steel poles in States.
That superliner has been tweaked too l believe
2nd trucks a Western Star
why the axle tires of the mack super liner are smoking?....for the pulling?...
look that...and the tires leave a rubber mark on the asphalt
The second truck is a westernstar
that superliner is fuckin sweet!!!!
@gm16v149 we tend to rail anything over a large distance. I have never seen anything like this in canada
@MrAlex8Ovechkin known as long range tanks here bloke coz of the long distances even some 4wd have em as well
@Markmeblablabla Two reasons 1. the air is cooler than nearer to the ground and 2. there's less dust up there as well
so whats the idea behing those high intake scoups on the second truck? seem to be common in aussie
It's a CAT 994 loader, minus the cab and wheels.
It's a double-pull, not a push-pull. Nice vid thx!
laying down rubber!
Have you ever had any problem with the rear spokes (hubs) on that pull truck slipping inside the rim? I have seen it happen a few times where it will break off the valve stem.
goes to show how much power that front loader has when in operation.
Australia, earths version of Texas.
I Love Them To !!
Considering the second truck is a Western Star 6900!
when it takes 2 trucks to move your order, you know that $20 oversize parts charge was worth it
@penslari why does the western star have 3 gas tanks on each side
@chevyman32890 Conservative estimate, in Australia, at least $1500. Probably more like $2000 if it has the full long-range set
Lucky the driver of the mack didnt get done for hooning and get truck inpounded for 30 days for laying rubber
Who cares, this is some serious load. I'm sure the economic advantages of this machinery being hauled to the site are beneficial enough to surpass these micky mouse infractions you speak of. This video is fucking badass, the only thing I'm disappointed about is that they aren't blowing more smoke!
jimmy johnson He was being sarcastic sir.

what is that thing in bewteen the semi and trailer
say if that trailer gets a flat tyre, can you replace it with the load on it?
the second one aint a mack its a western star
QUE DIABLOS ES LO QUE LLEVA EL TRAILER?
@MrAlex8Ovechkin i think its a "western star"
are they pulling a dinosaur?
@TheBestBassRemixes they were working togather to try to get up the hill.
how do they cool the engine?
how many gallons of fuel were just burned
are the tires slippin a bit??
How do u guys syncronise shifting ghears?
what is the second truck
**** Why you interupt recording in the so interesantly moment ?
What is the 2nd truck pullin?
@nattherat89 have that kumagutsa ""at work in three working day or i would be out of work komatsu mining ausralia
fast and furious!!!
dont miss a speed....
push pull? i dont think so, its a double header. brill video though top post
"one way or another were gettin that son' bitch up that hill"
You dont syncronise shift , its better if you heff difrent trucks
talk about laying rubber
@MrStiigg
why ?
is this a slowmotion?
when he s up hill, he needs new tires! ;)
wow
un MACK tous simplement .
Autobots Rollout!
asll that weight plsu the grade yaa bye bye tires i n30 seconds flat for surre no matter how heavy the truck is shes gona slip some what
yeah they should get a great looking volvo or scania......oh wait they are crap that fall to pieces.
What gear where you pulling in?
Clearly 1 or 2 low
Any higher and the torque would just blow your shit to pieces it would be like dropping a hand grenade in the gearbox
cooooooooooooooooooooooooool as fuck..
q bellesa :0
