Mane is actually an inside forward on a decline. The only reason Klopp played him as a false 9 because to accommodate Luis Diaz and to get maximum output from Mane. At Bayern Munich, they tried to play him as a striker but failed, was mostly injured and got into fights with his teammates and manager. Hence the move to Bayern Munich didn't work out and got sold after one season.
With this move to Saudi however, he can embrace more philanthropic work which I gave my perspective on my channel incase you have any feedback. I think football is on decline, but his impact is on the rise.
Mane’s form depreciating can be explained as he didn’t get time to adjust to one position and nagelsmann kept putting him in different positions because of lack of goals from him
Klopp's system makes them reach their physical limit and also look better. Other clubs don't have that system so a player that is used to it feels lost. Also age and injuries.
Klopp's style of play is very physically demanding, so the legs are gone by the time the players get sold. Look at Mane, Fabinho and Henderson. Look at how bad they were in their final season at Liverpool. Their fall off didn't start after leaving Liverpool.
Good managers make the best of players' skillsets. It's the same with Pep. How many times have we seen players leave liverpool/city and not be as good as they were (mane, coutinho, cancelo, sterling etc) and how many times have we seen liverpool/city pick up average or good players and make them great or world class (salah, stones, akanji, gundogan etc). Don't be surprised when nunez and kovacic both have huge seasons down the line aswell
I'm really hoping the opposite happens with Havertz at Arsenal. Kai needs a better system than the disaster that is Chelsea football club. I really believe Arteta will be able to extract more out of him.
Additional context: The Mane Bayern had signed was actually well past his peak, a 1 v 1 terror for defenders who could create and finish. Liverpool sold him at the right time, as his value would've plummeted. By 21-22, he wasn't really that much of an individual threat anymore. In the fall, Mo Salah was in the form of his life and Jota was also scoring freely, so it went mostly unnoticed that Mane had a streak of around 8-9 games without a goal. Then after AFCON, Liverpool had signed Diaz (who was meant to be Sadio's eventual replacement anyways). Diaz brought the kind of dribbling and individual threat that the LW needed, which allowed Klopp to move Mane in the middle as sort of a CF role. This also worked out since both Firmino & Jota had injury issues. Now he could just wait for chances from either the wingers or fullbacks to come his way and simply finish them. It's amazing that if not for a few inches and Courtois' fingertips, Sadio Mane would've scored the winner in a CL final, won Liverpool a treble, and likely himself the Balon D'or last year.
Mane had the same fate as Gini Wijnaldum , Philippe coutinho. From being great at Liverpool to being ordinary at another club. It shows maybe how Klopp and Liverpool get the best out of these players where others can’t.
Yesterday Mane ruined Al Nassr victory. This guy completely lost him self! He looks very aggressive in field and committed Unnecessary foul. He always miss opportunity and didn’t help Ronaldo!
Sounds like me in football manager, signed a player on a whim because he looked great, but didn’t think about how he would fit into the tactics 😅 Poor guy, comparisons to a previous star isn’t easy
In short, Bayern Munich is a cut throat club that has love for no one and will only give you 1 season to prove yourself--even if you have an injury that completely disrupts your season.
Mane was an incredible player but is severly overhyped by fans due to many crazy fanboy supporters (africans, muslims, etc.) who see him as “the best” when in reality, Mane has become unreliable due to age and injury. Don’t get me wrong, he was crazy good but he’s simply getting old and injuries have affected his performance. His perception is much like Riyad Mahrez, another great player who had incredible moments in the Premiere League who’s getting old and had a lot of hardcore fanboys (africans, muslims, etc.) become aggressively upset when Man City started him less then eventually sold him to a Saudi League team.
You don’t mention how he was received by the Bayern players overall. I’m sure that played a part in it. I know this year they were astounded at the money Kane is being paid. But, although they won’t win the league this season, Bayern have desperately needed Kane’s goals and he has delivered.
Sadio got what most of african player get: too many stupid advices from his anturage...like the one of the Senegalese manager who said Liverpool is a too small club for Sadio
agreed! Then again, his philanthropic work can have a large impact and this might be reason for him to follow the money. I made a video about it on my account. Let me know your thoughts
I don't think its all his fault he was a bit of a flop. He played as a striker and had to wait in the box until the ball came. At Liverpool he had more freedom sometimes playing as a false 9 or as a winger to create and score goals
he picked up an injury in December 2019 & was never the same since. 2019-2022 Sadio Mane was a top quality player but could often look indifferent, if not completely gassed out; 2015-2019 Sadio Mane was a force of nature.
@@timmyquagmire4170 - he could've won every Balon D'Or from 2019 to 2022, he still wasn't as fast, strong on the ball or as reliable a finisher between 2019-2022 as he was in his first seasons in the Premier League. he was still a great player, but he lost something during that layoff in 2019.
@@tubeofpoo2421 im inclined to disagree with you because in 2021/22 season we nearly got the quadruple, and mane was an integral piece of the puzzle, he was milimetres off scoring in the champions league final had it not been for a courtois masterclass. people will look at 19 and how we won the pl and say that was our peak, but if city didn't exist then mane would've been a key component in us dominating england at the very least, so I think to say he was falling off since 2019 is an exaggeration at the very least
i think it was somewhere around half of 20/21 season when his goal celebration changed to less enjoyable and he also had some incident with Klopp. Handled being in Salah's 'fame shadow' for years. Even that he played great and LFC felt his absence hard after he left. Unfortunate decision to leave LFC.
I will forever love Sadio Mané. He was magical at Liverpool. He is a legend of the game and deserves his flowers. Bayern should have given him 1 more season to prove himself.
we already have sane, coman, gnabry, tel and our youth players for the wings. we needed to sell one winger to get kane. mane was the most obvious choice
He just didn't fit into the team and was the wrong signing last transfer window. They should have tried getting Kane a year ago for 100 million and the deal would have been a lot more worth it than now where it's a huge financial risk. Kane was already at the time the most reliable striker that could fill Lewandowki's role and his abillity to fit on every Team as a striker who can go deep makes him one of the most desireable players but Brazzo (Salihimizic) had control over the transfers and not Nagelsmann sadly. Other options would have been a still in form Cristiano Ronaldo who would probably only have one more season in him just like at Old Trafford and wasn't the kind of player Bayern wanted to sign or Karim Benzema who has the right player mindset and style but someone who would have never left Madrid if it wasn't for the utopian deal from saudi. Kane has a good age for 5-6 seasons at the Allianz Arena, the right playstyle and the right mentality and therefore was always the perfect archetype of a player for the bavarians.
Mane seems to be happier in Saudi, muslim country.. more money and his other former team mates residing there as well.. Best of luck to him, he is a good man but stuck in an unfortunate turn of events..
He was obviously declining in the last year at Liverpool - not that shocked tbf. Still one of the most ridiculous players you will ever see in his pomp though.

I bet he's very happy In a haram league
It's obvious what happened. He was able to bluff it at a club like Liverpool, but when he joined a well run club, where the standards were higher, Mane was found out.
Frankly, Bayern didn't need him. There were players better in his position and he cannot play striker role effectively. They need a good CB and quality striker to replace Lewa. I was happy Liverpool got a good amount for him before things went downhill.
Mane made the mistake himself, he should have studied the tactics of the coach of Bayern and the club itself first. While Bayern still ended up champions of Germany, Mane was nothing by the end.
Well, I am grateful to Sadio Mane for contributing soo much to the beauty of football. a dip in form is not an issue to me. life is a series of changes, events, and activities.
For me between 2017-2020 sadio was the best footballer in the world. For some reason things went wrong after he got substituted in game at crystal palace (december 2020 and 0:7 win) which he didnt like at all
He simply played in a league where defenders know how to defend, just like Azar when he moved to Spain…so obvious the English Premier League is extremely overhyped
I watched all Bayern games the year before he was signed. I wasn't sure why they signed him since he is not a striker and Bayern already have plenty of wingers. It was destined to failed.
Never knew the purpose of his transfer to Bayern on the first place this is on Nagelsmann.. Still expected things would have go easy for him after his recovery and even an extension but we had to move on. Sad it didn't work out. Danke Mane 🙏
He depended more on his explosiveness , we saw the very best of it with Liverpool , he was not tall but had a good spring him , due to him being explosive and best example of his explosiveness and strength can be seen in his debut goal for Liverpool. Unfortunately , he lacks the technical side of the game , he understood his role in Liverpool also his physical attributes helped him way too much , he's not like Mo Salah , physically both are great but Mo has a sharp brain which can compensate when his body might start to decline. Mane has lost his explosiveness and he's on the decline , that's what happened , his 2nd last season at Liverpool we could see that and last season with LFC we saw Luis Diaz , going in the RW which gave Mane less dependency on his physical powers , his Focus remained on getting in goal scoring postions . He was world class with LFC , especially first 3 seasons , unfortunate to see his decline

I belive that he is a Klopp player just like kagawa, sahin, götze and the rest of them was.
Never been a world class player imo. His role probably similar with Lucas Vasquez at Real. just overhyped
Im disapointed with your thumbnail. Im unsubscribing
I'm really hoping the opposite happens with Havertz at Arsenal. Kai needs a better system than the disaster that is Chelsea football club. I really believe Arteta will be able to extract more out of him.
It's Saudio now, please call him by his new name
Additional context:
The Mane Bayern had signed was actually well past his peak, a 1 v 1 terror for defenders who could create and finish.
You say that but neglect to mention his trophy winning performances at Afon
How old is sadio mane ? Don’t we all know how football moves ? You want him to play until 88years old at the highest level ?
Mane had the same fate as Gini Wijnaldum , Philippe coutinho.
From being great at Liverpool to being ordinary at another club.
It shows maybe how Klopp and Liverpool get the best out of these players where others can’t.
Yesterday Mane ruined Al Nassr victory. This guy completely lost him self! He looks very aggressive in field and committed Unnecessary foul. He always miss opportunity and didn’t help Ronaldo!
What happened? He got older. This is also why Franz Beckenbauer no longer kicks ball.
The end.
He’s just 31 doesn’t make sense I think Bayern tactics and style didn’t fit him
@@kibetkeiyotrust me,he lost his explosiveness and wasn't motivated
@@adenihunadewale9214 he was good in anfield Bayern destroyed him mentally
He left Liverpool that’s what happened. Grass isn’t Always greener
Y’all finished 5th
@@Stoepkamight have finished 4th with Mane...
@@jamesmason8436Likely Not,Klopp putting him at CF for few months masked his decline a lot.
@@Stoepka and he’s in Saudi what’s your point muffin
You don’t mention how he was received by the Bayern players overall. I’m sure that played a part in it. I know this year they were astounded at the money Kane is being paid. But, although they won’t win the league this season, Bayern have desperately needed Kane’s goals and he has delivered.
Is he expecting to see Ronaldo pressing like Firminio did 😅
Sadio got what most of african player get: too many stupid advices from his anturage...like the one of the Senegalese manager who said Liverpool is a too small club for Sadio
Every time Europe disrespect a legend, We Saudi will be there to add one more legend to our league. Thanks 😅
You have created a lot of nice videos but your Headline to this particular story is very bad....the man is a legend
He went InSané
As a professional football player, very few things are as important as choosing the right situation for yourself.
Forever a legend in Liverpool' eyes... shouldnt have left
Lewandowski even warned him not to transfer. Yes, it was sour grapes on Lewandowski's part, but not only that.
agreed! Then again, his philanthropic work can have a large impact and this might be reason for him to follow the money. I made a video about it on my account. Let me know your thoughts
Agreed. Then Liverpool woulnt have fallen off like they did when he left
Not a legend in my eyes as an LFC fan. Sounds like your a simpleton Mane fan.
@@shinpads3453 mane fell harder than liverpool did
They never give mane much playing time
I don't think its all his fault he was a bit of a flop. He played as a striker and had to wait in the box until the ball came. At Liverpool he had more freedom sometimes playing as a false 9 or as a winger to create and score goals
Mane can go to oil rich Saudi League as they got lots of Mane Mane Mane. And he will add more Mane!
its so disgustig how he tries to play the grace quart now ....smgh...
Gutted they almost had a front line of
Sane, Mane and Kane
He bought a new phone(no more mister humble d'or😔)
From 2nd in 2023 ballon d’or to moving to al nassr
he picked up an injury in December 2019 & was never the same since. 2019-2022 Sadio Mane was a top quality player but could often look indifferent, if not completely gassed out; 2015-2019 Sadio Mane was a force of nature.
"never the same since" *comes second in 2022 ballon d'or*
@@timmyquagmire4170 - he could've won every Balon D'Or from 2019 to 2022, he still wasn't as fast, strong on the ball or as reliable a finisher between 2019-2022 as he was in his first seasons in the Premier League. he was still a great player, but he lost something during that layoff in 2019.

Obama and LGBTQ should go together. Thats a fact.
5:41 He didn't "snap" at the reporter @Tifo Football. You're painting him in a more negative light than what happened.
i think it was somewhere around half of 20/21 season when his goal celebration changed to less enjoyable and he also had some incident with Klopp. Handled being in Salah's 'fame shadow' for years. Even that he played great and LFC felt his absence hard after he left. Unfortunate decision to leave LFC.
Mane is not 30 years. his real age has caught up with him
He betrayed Klopp. That’s what happened.
I will forever love Sadio Mané. He was magical at Liverpool. He is a legend of the game and deserves his flowers. Bayern should have given him 1 more season to prove himself.
No
He is the highest earner in the squad, didn't fit in as a player and had issues with the players and coach
We would have if his wages were a bit easier to cope with trust me
we already have sane, coman, gnabry, tel and our youth players for the wings. we needed to sell one winger to get kane. mane was the most obvious choice
Kane has a good age for 5-6 seasons at the Allianz Arena, the right playstyle and the right mentality and therefore was always the perfect archetype of a player for the bavarians.
he is done. I saw him play, he is so done
*Fully deserved.*
Wish he stayed at Liverpool. None of this would have happened otherwise. Was unstoppable and a machine
He should have stayed in Liverpool
Mane is use to kick and rush football
The worst hairline in football no doubt
Mane seems to be happier in Saudi, muslim country.. more money and his other former team mates residing there as well.. Best of luck to him, he is a good man but stuck in an unfortunate turn of events..
he left liverpool for smallest team in the world. Literally any team can smack them except barca and psg.
clearly you havent seen FK Tukums from Latvia
Its the leaving liverpool effect
But but but Liverpool treated him poorly 😢
He was obviously declining in the last year at Liverpool - not that shocked tbf. Still one of the most ridiculous players you will ever see in his pomp though.
Please Tifo, I am requesting for a video regarding deep explanation on Football transfer terms like "Add-ons", "Personal terms", documents preparations, "Payment terms", and how transfers happen and how they crash. My best wishes for the Channel I'm a big fan. Thank you.
Is that just me or whoever leaves Liverpool (Since Klopp arrived) gets gradually worse overtime because we’ve seen with Wijnaldum,Karius,Origi,Mignolet (Kind of) and Sadio Mane seems strange to me.😊
Don’t forget Coutinho.
As a Liverpool fan I miss the prime mane with firmino and salah but there were a few occasions where he would be subbed off for not making enough of an impact and the attitude he showed klopp on live TV was so bad , I knew one day it what eventually bite him on the butt, still wish the best in his career! I bet he's very happy In a haram league
Leroy sane dislike this video
It's obvious what happened. He was able to bluff it at a club like Liverpool, but when he joined a well run club, where the standards were higher, Mane was found out.
Frankly, Bayern didn't need him. There were players better in his position and he cannot play striker role effectively. They need a good CB and quality striker to replace Lewa. I was happy Liverpool got a good amount for him before things went downhill.
Mane made the mistake himself, he should have studied the tactics of the coach of Bayern and the club itself first. While Bayern still ended up champions of Germany, Mane was nothing by the end.
I am no more a fan of this Channel
Well, I am grateful to Sadio Mane for contributing soo much to the beauty of football. a dip in form is not an issue to me. life is a series of changes, events, and activities.
Good luck in Saudi-Arabia, Sadio. Wish you would continue your career in Europe, but can't blame you for wanting to secure your family financially.
Grass isn't always greener!
What on earth is a layroy sana?
Mané never should've left Liverpool
Liverpool and klopp style killed him. Same decline you see in van dijk now. Very demanding.

Liverpool legend! Forever
Liverpool will not forget you Sir. 😃
Manè lacks the technical side of the game? Sadio Manè? Lol
