As a University Student, I just don't have the time to keep up with the Hermits like I used to, so the Recap has been a great way for me to keep up with the goings on outside of the ones I am able to watch. Thanks guys, we appreciate all of your hard work!
Love what you said about not listing each of the Hermits, it's so true! Part of the progression that we've been watching has been the progression of the Hermits' skillsets! Great builders learning how to do redstone, great redstoners learning how to build and etc. It's been such a joy to watch all of them develop
Actually, everything is possible in vanilla Minecraft. Redstone is Turing complete, so if there is something not in the base game, you can just build a computer in game, program Minecraft, plus a suitable mod for what you intend to do, into machine code for the redstone computer you built, and run it in game. It may be a little laggy though.
I love the selected clips including Xisuma’s favorite moment and a great quote from TFC. I love that the “megabase” debate is about Impulse’s factory, and other bits and pieces from just about every season.
A point missed in the narrative: Some people (like me) have nobody to play Minecraft with. Sure, you can try a server with thousands of jerks on it. But, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has been playing on the same little world for nearly 10 years and uses videos like Hermitcraft to get a sense of community. Otherwise, what's the point? Why build a great sorter that nobody else will see? Why make a great witch farm that nobody else will see? Having the ability to see others play together keeps the solitude of lone gaming interesting enough to continue year after year.
It would be amazing to have longer (20-30 min) videos with basic season summaries for people newer to hermitcraft, to understand the history of past seasons ^^
6:23 its mainly to give diamonds q late game use and because they are old school players they have a soft spot for diamonds 6:47 yeah that was a weird one though I still loved it

I just had the Idea. What if for a hermitcraft season the hermits would have to live really close with each other instead of far away, so all their bases flow into each other at some point. Also I want to point out to anyone who reads this about “how someone becomes a hermit”. This is something that has always bugged me when I see the question asked in a Hermit’s live stream. You don’t apply or just join up. It’s one part catching current members attention with your own content and the second part being a vote by the Hermits, which to my understanding has to be unanimous (all hermits say yes) that they then approach said individual about joining. Sorry, it’s been something that annoys me as much as I believe it does some of the Hermits. Enjoyed it Zloy! Though I’m curious, what warranted such a video?
