    Could this be used as an on-demand system for rear steering on a rock crawler buggy.....basically.....the pump to a manifold that directs fluid to an 8 or 10 inch steoke 2.5 diameter housing with 1.25 diameter shaft ram....

    • @MAMotorsports
      @MAMotorsports  8 месяцев назад +2

      No idea on that one. It’s a hydraulic pump so it sounds like it would do what you need it to do.

  • @gregorycasey2271

    It would be nice if they could be used as direct replacement pump for the junk BMW Mini Cooper R53 and R50 electric pump that fails and causes fires . Looks like it's smaller and would need hose and wiring adapters to connect to the existing system and maybe have to drill the mounting plate . Your system is a lot less money then the stock pump . I've just ordered a delete kit for mine because new pumps are around $1500 Canadian and remans are $700 . I'm going to leave all the original parts in place incase the delete ruins the feel .

    could you explain more about the adjustment screw on the pump?

    • @user-mt8sy2tf5h
      @user-mt8sy2tf5h Месяц назад

      Just bought this kit and set it up. Was also curious about the adjustment screw on the top. Guess I need to play with it to figure it out. Wish this pump worked a little more as it seems to struggle. Installed it on a 1998 Honda Prelude.
      Also, what fluid do you recommend? I put in Amsoil 100% Synthetic Multi Vehicle Power Steering Fluid it shows a part number for the Toyota Electronic fluid so hope it is good.

    Hi, would this work with a vw transporter t5 hydraulic steering rack ? I’ve done an engine swap and I let the original pump go with the engine, new engine comes from an electric powered steering car, would be great if this would solve my issue

    Are these loud?

    • @MAMotorsports
      @MAMotorsports  Год назад

      They are not quiet. Id say it depends on what you think is loud, how it is mounted (isolated or not) and what the application is (race cars this sound goes just about unnoticed).
