  • Welcome to the First Episode of this Electric G-Body Cutlass Conversion!
This car still has the original 307 internal combustion engine and is far off from being remotely an EV, but while waiting and saving for the bigger components we can focus on some of the small things that need to happen at some point during an EV conversion.
Number 1 on my list! Power Steering!

Nice job! Question about the function of the pump. Is it that loud all the time? I guess on a Volvo it would be drowned out by the motor but it seems pretty loud. I am looking to use this to replace the hydraulic PS on my car and make more room for a supercharger. Cheers

This was filmed before the hellcat swap I believe he scraped the idea of electric and changed to hellcat swap (I could be wrong tho)

First I would like to say nice job. While I am not a fan of all the falsehoods being told to people about EV's and how they are good or better for the environment, I am very interested in your swap. Hot rodding is hot rodding, some may argue that statement. Are you planning on going full electric or hybrid?

Plan is to go full electric, it would be the least complicated. I’ve seen some cool hybrid swaps, but those are mostly completely chassis swaps. Im swapping the 307 with a hpevs 35 motor and the 200r4 with a Muncie m20

      @@nileslee1 Isn't that like a 60 HP motor?

Using the dual 35 so like 120 😂 but kinda close to what it’s at right now

@@nileslee1 A friend of mine pointed out your post on the G forum. Which is how I found this video. With the 4 speed manual Muncie behind the motor it will definitely out perform the 307.

@@turna454 yea its hard to compare electric to gas hp. I have had numerous 6.5hp go karts and minibikes be out performed by my 2kW (around 2.6 hp) minibike. I agree those dual motors will out perform that ole 307
