This is not a review. Preview at best. There is no in-depth testing, not comparative metrics except for delta-e...What about response time, input lag, contrast etc? Is this normal for this channel?
@@drunkhusband6257 Even if minimal, it should still be tested so should under/over shoot, cumulative error and so on. Input lag on a gaming monitor is one of the most important metrics. And while contrast on oleds is theoretically infinite QD OLEDS have the coating that tends to make blacks grey when there is an outside light source so that should be tested as well. And plenty of other things are missing as well. In other words this is a pathetic excuse for a review.
A 240hz brand new oled is going to have next to no input lag, there is no reason to do a full review of something that isn't even out yet. A pathetic excuse is what your education level is.@@matejnemec3022
@@matejnemec3022agreed. This is way too superficial. And either the guy doesn't know what he's doing, or they tried to push this review out as quickly as possible.
Other reviewers have covered it and at least for the 4K ones the issue is completely resolved. It’s not as sharp as a non OLED display but there is no fringing whatsoever.
I also have serious reservations about OLED longevity. The organic compounds used deteriorate over time. I have LCD panels that still look great after five years. I can see problems with the OLED tv in my bedroom after just 3.

In my 6000 hours, 1/3rd spent in gaming and 2/3rds spent in windows with static elements for very long periods. ZERO burn in.
Just wondering on the input lag when running 60Hz games especially on ps5 console gaming? And for productivity, will the text clarity is acceptable, using excel, word, web browsing, etc? 3rd gen QD OLED will have strong burn in defence mechanism yes?
I think this monitor is a absolute must have. As soon as it is available in my country i will order it. Me and my rtx4090 will be very happy. These specs i was waiting for for a while! Thank you Alienware
Being able to send a 1080p or1440p high fps signal and view it cropped and centered at the BOTTOM of the monitor is a huge selling point for me which Ive seen offered before, 4K is great for movies and sharper text to mitigate the pixel layout problem but for semi competitive gaming its overkill, 1440p cropped to 27 inches with black borders left/right and top is something a gpu I can afford can run and anyone who needs glasses has to sit so close for the correct focus point they can't use bigger than 27 inch anyway. I find it strange reviewers don't cover this feature more as I am just going to go for a 27 inch without it.
I can't decide which monitor to buy. Should I buy the alienware AW2725DF,AW3225QF or the msi mpg 271qrx? I play multiplayer and story games equally, but currently more story games. Currently less multiplayer because I'm still waiting for my new internet connection. My current monitor is 13 years old and it's simply not worthy of my new 2k usd PC.
Really surprised no 3.5 MM jack to get audio to my speakers since I will have a PC, PS5 and Series X hooked up to it but order is in and arriving Monday
I have the AW3423DW Ultra-Wide. I got it during a Black Friday Sale (Save $450). It's a glorious monitor. I can never go back to non-ultra-wide displays again because they just feel cramped now. That said, I just don't have a reason (yet) to go to 4K. It's still not compelling enough for me at the moment. So, I'm in hover mode ...for now.
I have been using a very reasonable 32" (gigabyte M32UC) for work and general stuff. Mostly use my AW3423DW for gaming and videos (especially movies/shows in the same aspect ratio - theatrical 21:9). I'm going to replace the Gigabyte because the time I spend on the 32" is prolly 3-4x more and why not get the same level of amazingness for that monitor (QD-OLED goodness (real HDR), Glossy screen, 240Hz vs. 144 Hz., etc.). Just trying to rationalize spending even more money for deluxe Alienware monitors - lol
BG3 looks glorious on my DWF , just think how good it would look on this new 4k monitor. But I will wait till I can pair it with a 4090 , I mean what's the point of 4k if you also can't push the fps?
@@abdulrahmanhizam2833 I really feel spoiled - lol. I'll still use my AW3423DW. It's just that my workhouse monitor (which can now also game hardcore in 16:9) will be a true pleasure going to QD-OLED & Glossy for everything I do - also nice for watching stuff that isn't in ultrawide (theatrical) aspect ratio. I enjoy watching content on the AW3423DW but going to 4K from 1440p will be a huge plus for the majority of media (aspect ratio).
Dell is absolutely killing it with monitors atm. I've still got a Dell S3220DGF monitor from a 4 years ago that is still my first ever 2k external display. But I think once I upgrade my PC in the future, then I'll definitely consider an Alienware monitor with 4K@240Hz.
The fact that it doesn't have speakers is a plus... I hate reconnecting a monitor only to have my auto output to the monitor speakers.... because monitor speakers usually suck. How many people use wireless earbuds with their PCs... Don't have any other external speakers... and also not on a laptop. Seems like a minority problem.
Just for my understanding: Despite the fact that it has no Freesync Premium Pro certification doesnt mean that it's not able to display adaptive sync in combination with hdr with an amd graphics card, right? It can do that?
It's crazy expensive but I think I'll go for it once it comes out here in UK. I play 90% of my games on Xbox so I never picked up the 34" ultrawide. but I also watch a lot of movies and play PC games here and there. I'm a huge sucker for good image quality, graphics and HDR. Quick question, will my RX 6700 XT's HDMI 2.1 or DP 1.4 port be able to get 4K 240hz HDR?
I think your DP 1.4a port should work if it enables DSC (Display Stream Compression). HDMI 2.1 would need DSC or FRL (Fixed Rate Link) to support 4k 240 Hz, and I'm not sure if the 6700XT support VRR with FRL enabled. I suppose you'll find out, but I think your DP port should definitely work.
@@Slavolko Thanks for such a detailed response. I'll definitely be picking this monitor up, and even if it doesn't support 4k 240Hz, I would just upgrade my GPU rather than return the monitor anyway.
If the monitor has a game console mode then I'm wondering why it doesn't have speakers or audio output jacks for speakers that are not EArc. Not everyone wants a soundbar for their desk set-up.
I'm really interested in the 32-inch monitor reviewed in your video for both gaming and work. I've understood that this monitor does not support 1440p resolution on consoles, which I find quite absurd. Could you please check if this monitor supports gaming at 1440p resolution on consoles? I'm particularly looking to play Apex Legends at 120 fps and use 4k resolution for work tasks. I prefer not to game in 4k on the console due to the significant performance drop in fps games, especially in competitive play. It's crucial for me to have the 1440p functionality for gaming. Your feedback would be incredibly helpful for making my decision. Thank you so much!
Had the AW3432DWF and it was amazing, I unofrtunately broke it and I think going for a 4k 240z now is the great option. Esports titles are for sure going to be able to take advantage of the high refreshrate even at 4k and I used to play single player games on my 4k@60hz tv in my livingh room anyway. Great monitor only thing i might be missing is the ultrawide but it also has some benefits going back to 32" and 16:9 as not all games i played supported the UW format
Only reasons why i'm not changing my monitor for this one... the missing 21:9... i know that other alienware got 3440X1440p with Oled... but since i had one b4 and changed it for the 38'' version... the extra 1600 is so much a game changer... I'll prob wait for that 38'' to comes up !
@TMar1961 For Cyberpunk in 4K, you may need to lower your graphics quality settings and enable all DLSS features. Set DLSS 2 to balanced mode. You can play in 4K even with a 4060 Ti (VRAM should be sufficient). It all depends on the graphics quality you are willing to sacrifice. With high-quality graphics, a 4070 Ti will struggle with titles like Cyberpunk. For games like CS: GO or something similar, you will get above 200 fps. Ultimately, it depends on the games you play as well. In my opinion, a 4070 Ti should not be paired with 4K. Also, this is a great era to play games in 1440p with ultra settings.
No, it uses second-generation QD-OLED panels. The Asus 32-inch PG32UCDM (which was announced with a 2nd gen panel) is shipping with a 3rd gen one, but it's just a vague "Q1 2024" promise right now and probably why it's not shipping alongside the Alienware.

I have a 3423dw and a 42 inch c2. I use the c2 for flight sims. I wouldn't say it'll be a huge upgrade but the 4k at 32 inches will be a higher pixel density and you get some benefits from qd oled such as higher peak brightness and better yellows. The higher refresh rate may be nice if you play a lot of high motion games, but driving 4k at 240 requires a beast of a pc (and even then its more like 160 range) I'm getting one to replace my 3423dw.
Ive never owned an oled tv/monitor so my question is about burn in. Whats the likelyhood it happens? And is it inevitable? Thanks to anyone that can shed light on this. Im no tech savvy person.
I have a s95c. I have this monitor placed directly under it in my gaming room. Is it just unrealistic to expect the picture of this monitor to match the s95c? The tv just looks so much more vivid than the monitor.
Question is the monitor the same "glossyness" (is that a word?) as the LG C3? What I mean is, I know the Alienware is "glossy" but I've never seen one. The LGs are basically a mirror which I like. So are these mirror-like also or do they have a very very slight "coating"/light diffuser? From the video the monitor looks like is not as glossy/mirror-like as the LG C-series tvs.
Does this monitor allow us to firmware update it or do we have to send it back to dell like the first version , second can i play dolbyvision 120hz on my xbox series x or is it 60hz like the spny tvs .
You can also (finally) update the AW3423DW (the DWF was always updatable as it didn't have a G-Sync Module). They released a Firmware update in December - Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully. :)
I just placed my order today, arriving Monday :) - I currently own the Alienware AW3423DW which I am planning on selling to cover part of this new one.
HELP! Should I use DP 1.4 or HDMI 2.1 (current setup 4090 (DP1.4 Or HDMI 2.1) + AW3225QF (DP1.4 Or HDMI 2.1). DP 1.4a with DSC for 4k 240Hz sounds amazing. Also if I go the DP 1.4 route. Are all cables equal or are the quality ones you recommend. PS. Already have a nice DP 2.1 cable advertised as 16k or something like that. Would that work or could that cause issues? TY in advance. ALl help welcome
You should use hdmi 2.1 since it has more bandwidht than dp1.4 but it doesnt really matter because both will work. Dp 2.1 is the best cable and it should be backwards compatable so use that. 4090 doesnt have dp2.1. Neither does monitors. But it should work as 1.4 :)

Good review but no mention about text clarity on this monitor; something that put me off buying any of the 2023 OLED monitors? I definitely want one of these Alienware QD-OLED monitors. I currently have a 27" 1440p 165 Hz IPS monitor but was planning to upgrade to a 27" 1440p OLED display and was very interested in the new Dell models as they were flat not curved. The only thing putting me off the 32" 4K display is the fact that it is curved. It might be slight but it is still curved and I've never been a fan of these as I find it distracting rather than immersive.
Really nice to see OLED monitors finally hitting 4K at more reasonable sizes. Though, as I couldn’t care less about refresh rates, I’m more interested in which ones have a glossy finish since that has unfortunately been seemingly quite rare.
Great review man! I am looking for a new monitor for my xbox and potentially PC. I was almost dead set getting the Samsung G8 but I think this is a better and cheaper way to go!
Can somebody tell me if this is absolute overkill for PS5? I was looking at 4k monitors and was looking at the gigabyte m32uc but would this be vastly better and worth it or just a complete waste of money for strictly console playing? Thanks for any feedback
yes 240hz is overkill for a ps5, as its max refresh is 120fps in very few games that actually hit 120fps. I would look at LG C2/C3, get a bigger screen and save a few $100
its drives me nuts but I cant decide between the AW34 Ultrawide and the AW32 4k.. Ultrawide just looks so freaking immersive..But I am slightly worried about the PPI. Then again I have an old 1080p 24 inch screen right now..
I have a Dell 32" monitor. It was the best electronic purchase I ever made. Depending on what (smaller) size screen you currently have, it improves the experience by a ALOT. I went from a 24 to a 32, and I feel like a 4x better experience in gaming, working, media consumption. Back when I bought mine, these size monitors were quite expensive, but they have come down in price in just a few years. Get one if you can afford it and have the space for it. If you are on the fence about this size or one larger, I'd say go for the larger size. The only "problem" I have with my 32" monitor, is that I wish I chose the 42" Dell monitor instead.
I have my monitor in storage right now b/c I am moving. So I don't have the model number. It's a 32" IPS panel that has 4 video inputs, no speakers, and a non-glossy screen. I checked Dell website and it does not list any such monitor anymore (I think they are updating site after CES 2024) I would recommend the monitor that I have. Simply b/c it's over 5 years old and there must be newer monitors with better image quality for cheaper price. From what I understand, Dell has a reputation for making solid monitors, if not spectacular monitors at a fair, but not discounted price. Mine might be an exception. I got it at a decent price, but it was defective. The multi inputs and selecting between the two was broken for me. I didn't know it until I tried to hook up two computers. But that was a year after I got the monitor and so I couldn't replace the monitor. So remember to check the multi input feature when you get your monitor. Multi-input is definitely a feature you should consider if you plan to hook up two computers (work and home) and even a console game. Also consider if the input selector has physical buttons or if it's touch capacitance buttons. Being able to switch between multiple inputs easily is a great feature. Some monitors even act as a kvm switch. I ended up getting a separate KVM switch. Problem with a separate KVM switch is the complete mess of cables. No matter how organize you make the cables, it still going to look like a jumbled mess. You should also give thought to glossy vs non-glossy or glossy with anti-glare. The larger monitor, the more chance there will be a glare spot. I got a non-glossy screen on my monitor, and I never sat down and wished it was glossy even while gaming or watching movies. In fact, I didn't even notice it was non-glossy when I pulled it out of the box (I didn't care at the time when I got the monitor, I was just so happy I got a large monitor). So even with the defects in my monitor, I'm still quite enjoy the experience. Also, I would still purchase an IPS panel over the OLED panels. I'm still worried about burn-in / image retention. IPS do not have this problem. I've had my monitor for over 5 years now, and I haven't seen a problem with it. Also consider ergonomics. The way you normally sit might be a problem. You could find yourself tilting your head too far up, so you might need to lower your desk to compensate. If you are taller (like me) this might not be a problem. But if you are shorter it can (potentially) be. I think as larger monitors become more prevalent, desks will change. You'll have your normal desk space, but the area where you put your monitor will be on a shelf that's depressed from the rest of the desk, just so that you don't crane upwards too much. The other alternative, would be to mount your monitor on a wall, off your desk in the appropriate position. Finally, this is the year you will see new machines implementing the new thunderbolt standard. We will finally have laptops that can drive multiple 4k monitors or even 8k monitors at high refresh rates. It's definitely something to keep in mind. Sorry to blabber so much. Good luck.
42 for regular pc usage gets old real fast. Used them for a few months and went back to 32, then settled on 34uw (both work and gaming). 42” is just too big, especially if flat, you can’t really use the edges of the display without strain on neck and eye movement, clarity suffers in the edges when doing productivity tasks. 34 handles this much better whereas 32 is the sweet spot imo tl;dr you’re not missing out not having 42” if not talking purely gaming
32 is nearly perfect. I can never go smaller. Kind of wish they would have made the new monitor just a little bigger maybe 35. I have the 32 Dell 1440 panel and I'm well used to the size. Getting the new monitor but the same size kind of sucks. You always want to go a little bigger. I agree on the 42 inch. I looked at it and told myself there is no way you would be happy sitting in front of this monstrosity.
Yea that is actually confusing because he says at :55 these are second gen, but i could have sworn these panels were supposed to be 3rd gen QD-OLE? Idek anymore
Sure can, not on max settings in all games, especially newest AAA titles will require some form of DLSS ON, especially when you want Raytracing as well. But 4080 can hold its own on 4k, just not all on ultra/max settings and you need to use DLSS most times if you want 60-100 stable fps
If there's no traditional audio out jack, and there's no onboard speakers, and you don't have eARc computer speakers (because they don't exist), how the hell do you get audio from a game console?

I have the odyssey neo g7 basically same panel but you get the 240 hz and let me tell you.... it was the closest I can get to oled or qd oled which was good. Problem is the halo effect the screen has, viewing angles you have to be center not to notice it. Color accuracy can be a hit or miss specially HDR, a lot of tweaking for best settings. Hey. I have the aw3225qf but there is something that drives me crazy... There is flickering with G-Sync turned on. It's mainly in situations with gray on the screen like in dark situations which are not 100% black or a little bit lighter. It does happen in loadingscreens too. Is that a common issue for that monitor? Is it a common issue for OLED monitors? I tried it without G-Sync and everything worked perfectly fine. But without G-Sync the games doesn't feel as smooth as with it and have screen-tearing. Could anyone tell me if that is normal and if other OLED monitors (like the Asus pg32ucdm) doesn't have this issue? It's really really sad that this has VRR flickering because if it wouldn't have it, it would be a perfect monitor. I'm thinking about returning it because that isn't acceptable for 1000 bucks to be honest. (Latest Firmware is installed) Would be really nice if anyone can help!
1:48 sadly there haven't been a few, there has just been one, the Neo G8. It has pretty serious QC issues and a weird uneven curve making it an unappealing product.
The curve killed it for me, at 32 and the distance I use the monitor it wouldn't work for my use. Otherwise, it sounds like it checks a lot of the boxes
@@dylankeenan1590exactly. I actually like that they added the curve to increase variety, as there are definitely people who prefer that. But for everyone else, there are plenty of other choices.
I'm looking at this for use with an Xbox series X for games and an M3 Max MBP for home use. Seems it would be great for the Xbox, but does anyone know how well it would work with the Mac?
Well if you like scanlines the neo g8 has it beat as well as hdr not following the eotf curve correctly so it's brighter but not as accurate as the alienware

Good temps and blasts thru any game. Coming from a Neo G9 With 6900xt. Once u go oled u cant go back. Good job AW. This monitor is a beauty!!!!

This is not a review. Preview at best. There is no in-depth testing, not comparative metrics except for delta-e...What about response time, input lag, contrast etc? Is this normal for this channel?
Response time on oled is minimal. unknown input lag, contrast on oled is infinite
These OLED reviews never discuss DPI and text clarity, which oled has struggled with. 😢
I have seen multiple reports of text being notably better than the first Gen QDOLED panels from last year.
Other reviewers have covered it and at least for the 4K ones the issue is completely resolved. It’s not as sharp as a non OLED display but there is no fringing whatsoever.
Also auto brightness limiter.
I also have serious reservations about OLED longevity. The organic compounds used deteriorate over time. I have LCD panels that still look great after five years. I can see problems with the OLED tv in my bedroom after just 3.
@@ericmatthews8497over 6000 hours on my first gen qd-oled (aw3423dw) and there is zero burn in or brightness loss. I measured just the other day for a friend who was curious. Still getting full 250 nuts full screen white. RTINGs burn in tests abuse displays on purpose, to cause/force burn in. Normal use will never see it. In my 6000 hours, 1/3rd spent in gaming and 2/3rds spent in windows with static elements for very long periods. ZERO burn in.
So 2 downsides are.....plastic backside of the screen and not having crappy build in speakers?......? awesome review.

Just got both an rtx 4090 and this monitor. Can't wait till it arrives so I can feel less bad about the cost.
@@samer.mghabghab and how do you like it so far? Mine arrives at 28/2.
I find it strange reviewers don't cover this feature more as I am just going to go for a 27 inch without it.
so through your backdoor channels when are the 32" 1440p oleds being released?
That curve + stand never changes... Plus not to mention that anti reflective coating... I want a full glossy gaming monitor.
So how are you going to get audio out of the monitor? This is the only thing stopping me from buying it right now.
2nd gen panels? Shouldnt these be 3rd gen by now?
Is it matte or glossy screen?
Yeah there 3rd gen panels, the channel just hasn't done it research properly

@@SingularSolarus the AW3423DW in my opinion was the best in the market, your just going from the best to the bestest lol

No coverage of the Dolby Vision on the PC side?
You have to disable the output device (HDMI/DP from monitor) in Windows once, then it shouldn't reappear when you power cycle the PC
Just for my understanding: Despite the fact that it has no Freesync Premium Pro certification doesnt mean that it's not able to display adaptive sync in combination with hdr with an amd graphics card, right? It can do that?
It still should work with Amd gpus!
Is it any good at handling office work (Excel)?

This may be a dumb question but does this monitor support USB audio out? My current monitor connects to a Razer Leviathan soundbar through USB.
Right, how does it not even have an audio jack? What the heck alienware.
so is it finally worth it to upgrade from my Acer Predator 27" qhd XB271HU 144hz ips panel?

I have 2x and was disappointed there is no AW3423DWF *with* HDMI 2.1, so I'll go with this one.
For that price... I'm buying this.
If the monitor has a game console mode then I'm wondering why it doesn't have speakers or audio output jacks for speakers that are not EArc. Not everyone wants a soundbar for their desk set-up.
Because who wants to use garbage monitor speakers. If you're spending 1200 on a monitor. You're probably not gonna use monitor shallow speakers
@@acmech1012it’s called options my friend. And something they should have never removed was the audio jack, has to be the dumbest decision.
Yes but please explain how u get sound with no headphone jack and no built in speakers?!?!
4090 cries on 4K resolution(cyberpunk).
Careful !!! (I HAVE IT)
Only reasons why i'm not changing my monitor for this one... the missing 21:9... i know that other alienware got 3440X1440p with Oled... but since i had one b4 and changed it for the 38'' version... the extra 1600 is so much a game changer... I'll prob wait for that 38'' to comes up !
@@zafrizulfi So you're telling me my 4070ti Super will not be enough?

Doesn’t this use the 3rd gen oled panel and not the second?
No, it uses second-generation QD-OLED panels. The Asus 32-inch PG32UCDM (which was announced with a 2nd gen panel) is shipping with a 3rd gen one, but it's just a vague "Q1 2024" promise right now and probably why it's not shipping alongside the Alienware.

I have a 3423dw and a 42 inch c2. I use the c2 for flight sims. I wouldn't say it'll be a huge upgrade but the 4k at 32 inches will be a higher pixel density and you get some benefits from qd oled such as higher peak brightness and better yellows. The higher refresh rate may be nice if you play a lot of high motion games, but driving 4k at 240 requires a beast of a pc (and even then its more like 160 range)

It might be slight but it is still curved and I've never been a fan of these as I find it distracting rather than immersive.
Really nice to see OLED monitors finally hitting 4K at more reasonable sizes. Though, as I couldn’t care less about refresh rates, I’m more interested in which ones have a glossy finish since that has unfortunately been seemingly quite rare.

yes 240hz is overkill for a ps5, as its max refresh is 120fps in very few games that actually hit 120fps. I would look at LG C2/C3, get a bigger screen and save a few $100

I wish this review mentioned anything about the fan noise
Which 32 dell model please?.
I have my monitor in storage right now b/c I am moving. So I don't have the model number. It's a 32" IPS panel that has 4 video inputs, no speakers, and a non-glossy screen. I checked Dell website and it does not list any such monitor anymore (I think they are updating site after CES 2024)
I would recommend the monitor that I have.
34 handles this much better whereas 32 is the sweet spot imo
tl;dr
you’re not missing out not having 42” if not talking purely gaming
I agree that 32" is a big step up from a 24", but I really think the 32" monitor is the sweet spot in terms of size.
I looked at it and told myself there is no way you would be happy sitting in front of this monstrosity.
how can you use the 1.4 dp at 240 hz/4k? am i missing something?
1.4 with dsc at 4k 240hz there is no image quality or performance difference compared to 2.1 so that's how
wait, aren't the new qd-oleds 3rd gen?
All 32" 4k QD-oleds are 3rd gen. 2nd could not get that many PPI
Yea that is actually confusing because he says at :55 these are second gen, but i could have sworn these panels were supposed to be 3rd gen QD-OLE? Idek anymore
Wait is this a new model with a 1600R curve instead of the 1700R on the older model?
Wait we can't change the resolution?
Curved is a deal breaker.
once you get it you never go back to flat
@@centauri0 Nah. I had a 38" Ultrawide and went back to 27" flat
Need this flat, and 42" format. Awesome though
42' gang represent!
Go for LG oled tv (C or G series)
Can it push 4k/120Hz for my PS5 utilizing HDMi 2.1?
the ps5 cant do native 4k 120 fps so dont bother
I currently have the 34 qd OLED. I also have a 4080 just curious if the 4080 can run this.
Sure can, not on max settings in all games, especially newest AAA titles will require some form of DLSS ON, especially when you want Raytracing as well. But 4080 can hold its own on 4k, just not all on ultra/max settings and you need to use DLSS most times if you want 60-100 stable fps
I own a 4080 and I could run any game in 4k on my LG C2 4k Oled "monitor".
So DSC? How can it do 4K 240hz
Yeah I need to know if it's 10 but color too as my last monitor that used DSC just used 8 but with dithering.
@@theblackswordsman9951 should be 10 bit… my qd oled TVs are.
@@aegontargaryen573 Yeah i'm pretty sure it is, just would be nice for confirmation. I got an OLED TV too.
If there's no traditional audio out jack, and there's no onboard speakers, and you don't have eARc computer speakers (because they don't exist), how the hell do you get audio from a game console?
Get a sound bar :)
@@The8BitVillaina TV soundbar for a computer desk? Seems like overkill. And when’s the last time buying a monitor required you to also buy new speakers?
Seems like a huge oversight.
Aftermarket HDMI audio extractor.
@@jeffkardosjr.3825 Great. My brand new shiny monitor requires me to buy more shit to get it to work in the most basic way.
@@jeffkardosjr.3825 Its kind of sad though we have to buy something extra because they skimped out on a 3.5 mm jack on a $1200 monitor for those of us wanting to hook up a PC and 2 consoles
Hi! What you think if I have Samsung G8 Odyssey Mini led VA panel monitor (4k 240HZ). Could be a visuality upgrade this Alienware monitor? Thanks!!
Yes. I have to be same monitor and ordered the OLED, no more blooming artifacts!
@@Sean-fj9pn my biggest problem just iam in EU . I have to wait a lot for this moni. Iam searching retailer.
Even though your monitor has 240hz, qd oled is much faster, better color accuracy and no glare meaning perfect viewing angles. Lastly the control stick button is the worst. Hopefully this helps. Mine is coming Saturday
Is there a flat version?
Let’s hope not
(Latest Firmware is installed)
Would be really nice if anyone can help!
Luckily all the other Monitors using this panel are flat this year. Tons of option going on
@@dylankeenan1590exactly. I actually like that they added the curve to increase variety, as there are definitely people who prefer that. But for everyone else, there are plenty of other choices.
It will work for my use and for many others! The monitor is perfect and I am glad it's curved.
People that complain can’t afford it lol
What are you doing? Standing 25ft from your monitor? The curve is very minimal and you won't even be able to tell very much.
I'm looking at this for use with an Xbox series X for games and an M3 Max MBP for home use. Seems it would be great for the Xbox, but does anyone know how well it would work with the Mac?
Just ordered one! Should I use DP or HDMI or does it matter?
did you find out? I cant find an answer online and not sure either. Too many people copy pasting old specs.
the asus models will have bfi support the ones that run 4k 240hz and 1080p @ 480hz on oled
Yeah but no warranty
what was the role playing game shown ?
thank you! on series x settings i take it has a tick on everything ?
meant for pc not console
@@BRUH-fe8wz🙄😂
@@xStayFresh at man just being honest even a 4k 120hz monitor is overkill for current consoles 😁💀
How does this stack up to the current Samsung Neo g8?
Well if you like scanlines the neo g8 has it beat as well as hdr not following the eotf curve correctly so it's brighter but not as accurate as the alienware
@@rahb2096okay but what about the Neo G7 actually
Definitely prefer this over the 1440p 34".
