Two of Bowie's least known and acclaimed albums are both from 1993 ... Black Tie, White Noise and The Buddha of Suburbia. I got both of them in 1993 and loved them both right away, so neither one is obscure or unappreciated by me. Don't Let Me Down and Down is a hidden gem ... as are many of the other songs from these two albums!
I had mixed feelings about Black Tie White Noise, but on the whole I've enjoyed listening to it over the years. However, I always skip this track. It's the synth/electronic piano/ early 1990's mainstream R&B sound. Buddha of Suburbia gave me optimism for what Bowie might do next. In terms of moving forward, there seemed to be so many creative possibilities in each track.

I've had two head injuries and IAm a beleiver in mental health.I can recognise a really good love song when I hear one. "Still I keep my love for you .. nowhere to hide, nowhere to fall..." I believe in PROMiSE and PEACE. This song is exceptionally good as it is relatable. Nothing worse than being in a relationship where one isn't free to be themselves and speak their mind if their partner is always letting them down--ie cheating,lying, overspending, stealing, whatever . Some stay with partners like this because they beleive in love but are too blind to see that support is one thing, but being trapped by anyone who undermines their "best friend" is morally wrong.
In '93 this was my first new Bowie album, it set the tone for my music taste from that point forward.

"Black Tie, White Noise" will remain my favorite album by Mr Bowie. Such intelligent philosophical and poignant music impossible to attribute to some specific style except for Bowie himself

Bowie seemed to sing in Iman's accent.
David can sing in lots of accents/voices. He sounds exactly like Marc Bolan in 'Black Country Rock' (from The Man Who Sold the World) an did countless 'Mockney' accents in many of his songs. This is part of David's natural vocal repertoire. Great voice, great style, great man.

Life in this day in age isn't always fair, however human beings that are good do beleive in making the prayers to Peace each day come closer and closer to a reality. Living as Peace and as an individual that may choose freely as how to live their life by doing what they love for a living; that allows one to create a life for family that is good, fairer, and of quality. The superficiality of the modern world and it's current malaise that it is experiencing, and it's downward spiral into an anethma of societies and the world's demise, is in direct proportion to the public's lack of sound judgement and is in part due to Teck and to it's commuting of data. Noone is meant to be brainwashed into being a slave to a device or a regime of tectonic force. I have faith in the individual and those that are literate and knowledgeable enough to to realize that go ood human beings admit when they've made an honest mistake and endeavors to right wrongs are made. I'll never lose Faith or Love for this Earth and it's lives that live as honestly as they can live. Love and Peace comes without censorship, and environmental delay of warranted technocratic totalitarianism. Our dearly beloved ancestors lived a less charmed existence. We can learn from the past. Xo

Thank you. It's from a "Black Tie, White Noise - Film" VHS Version 1993 (recorded on Saturday 8 May 1993, at the Hollywood Center Studios in Los Angeles). May 6, 1993 he performed in the Arsenio Hall Show, LA Black Tie, White Noise, Jump they say and Pallas Athena in the same outfit. Maybe it's combined.
