Would it have been wise to put a little grease on the drive shaft end before installing it into the new head? Also can the new head be drilled and a grease zert installed to grease the head? Like the FS 55 has on its head for maintenance.
No repair possible on the old head? Or just not worth it? I have an Echo 3000 with a frozen head and a replacement head is no longer available. Motor runs super sweet, but it might be junk unless I can figure out a way to deal with the head. Good video! Only 2 cups of coffee? I’m on #4 and it’s only 9:30
Tom, noticed no grease zert on either head. Is it possible to grease that exposed bearing in the head as part of the general maintenance by pulling the head to do it. Brea the Chickanic posted a recent video on the brands that eliminated the grease zeros on their weed whackers, but the spot on the head is still there, but not drilled and tapped for it.
Typical stihl. Gotta pull em 30 times to get them started then they stay tore up half the time. I had 8 of those in my shop that all had the same thing wrong with them that that one has. Instead of fixing them I threw them in the junk pile and hauled em off. Never have liked stihl.
Enjoyed the video and learned something new today!
Another good video ❤️🙏
Quick easy $$$. Well done!
I don't know if it is true, but I once heard that coffee is the second most valuable thing traded, exceeded only by the value of crude oil.
Nice work brother that sthil sounds good now with that gearbox replaced . That old one was crunchy

You may can upgrade to echo shaft assembly from one of their lower brands, that already have the head on it, just connect it
