your page is such an incredible resource! I have 4c hair and would like to get locs but need realistic advice and examples pertaining to my texture, which your channel provides. thank you SO much
Great tips as usual. My edges had gotten very thin especially after having children. Since I got my sisterlocks they've actually started growing back. I think it's because I'm taking extra steps to restore them.
@@Niaimani92 can you elaborate more on that please? I'm trying to make up my mind which one to do? I love micro locs but hear that they are harder to maintain than sister locs. I can't imagine re-tieing them if they become loose so easily. Struggling. to make up my mind. I have fine low density and hear micro locs will swell up for fullness. I'd like to hear all your reasoning to se if any penny drops for me. Blessings. By the way, I love your sisterlocs, not too big and look very micro.
Your hair has grown out beautifully well compared to the last time I saw it, where you talked about how tight your loctician made it. I didn't know that I did not subscribe then. You're looking good and I love the way your locs have grown out so well. Nice content 👍🏽
Great bonnet tips I made some for me and family last year but it makes my head HOT! Your wide band elastic one looks much more comfortable, looks like I’ll be making new ones for this Christmas too 👍🏾 😊🇬🇧
Yes I did, saw them first on Feneti’s channel & I’m a designer been sewing since I was 11. Sewing is like breathing to me (so easy) plus I get the satin fabrics from work for free. There are RUclips videos that give you step by step how to demos . I’m going to make the wide band one definitely as of 12midnight UK back in lockdown for 4 weeks 🤦🏾♀️ helps keep me busy and sane, thanks again 😊🇬🇧
Be mindful that more mature ladies who through reduction in hormone levels, may have thinner edges so they too have to find what works for them. Edge control doesn't work for everyone its true and can actually damage. Also we all have different types of hair...your hair looks very soft but these methods may not work for someone with 4c hair. I have 4c and I cant find any edge control that works!
Hi, thank you for your comment, however I did mention before I spoke on the topic that “there are multiple reasons why people have thinning edges that have nothing to do with hair care”. I gave a full disclaimer, which was my way of being mindful towards everyones situation. I also have 4c hair. Thank you again for your comment 😊.
Thanks so much for these wonderful tips! As for build up on my edges - When I use edge control/gel the area usually itches like crazy after a couple of applications so I use diluted apple cider vinegar which stops the itching and lifts all the scaly gunk. Then I go lightly over the area with a soft non pilling tissue to clean up. After that treatment I'm good to go until wash day which is usually in a few days.
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost my password. I would love any tips you can offer me.
@Quincy Finnley Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm in the hacking process now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Lol 😂!!! I was like nawww I’m good on this vegan wine lol! It was not good at all. Turns out the reason that all wines are not vegan or even vegetarian has to do with how the wine is clarified. They use gelatin, egg whites or meat proteins. Long story short, they can keep clarifying my wine with meat proteins and egg whites lol.
That’s actually a really good question. I’m not sure exactly what the material of the band is, but I don’t believe it’s Cotten. It feels smooth and slick to the touch. I haven’t had any issues with it.
I retighten the edges every 5-7 weeks tops. The rest of my head I neglect tbh. I can’t even say that I have a schedule for the rest of my head anymore.
That was a joke, however wines are not typically vegan. That was a vegan wine. The reason that all wines are not vegan, or even vegetarian has to do with how the wine is clarified and a process called 'fining'. Traditionally the most commonly used fining agents were casein (a milk protein), albumin (egg whites), gelatin (animal protein) and isinglass (fish bladder protein). I was being sarcastic. I know there’s no chicken wings or ground beef put in wine lol.

Thank you for bringing up a reason for potential hair loss. I know many women who have struggle with postpartum hair loss.
@@Niaimani92 You're welcome. It's definitely a struggle for a lot of women.
Same thing happened to me.
What was the extra step to restore them ?
Your hair is making my whole mind shift back to sisterlocs instead of microlocs, and I don’t know how to feel about that. Your hair is BEAUTIFUL!
Thank you so much! Honestly if I could do it all over again I actually think I would have chose micro locs and gone a wee bit bigger 😊

Thanks for the election night drop cause I needed something to watch.
Of course! I needed something to do tonight too. Editing helped me ignore how anxious I am right now lol.

Hi Demi! Thank you so much !
@@Niaimani92 you're most welcome
I have the same bonnet from Amazon. Wore it for the first time last night, first time wearing a bonnet. I'm glad I bought the "right" one!😊
Yes! The right bonnet makes such a difference =)

cheetah print looks great on you, thank you for the tips!
Thank you 😊! I’m so glad it was helpful!
I love JBCO too! Don’t lay my edges at all!!
This spoke to me my babies act up in the front
Mine do too! That where some hair does slip out every now and then, so I just keep it relighted on a regular.
Great vid!
🥰
Gorgeous hair ❤️🇬🇧
Thank you 😊
Great Video!
Thank you 😊
Thanks for the tips friend ☺️
You are so welcome! I hope you and your kiddos are doing well throughout all the craziness going on right now.
I have a bonnet with the thick band too, but I get hot. I also have a satin pillow case, and I get hot. I can’t win. Lol
LOL satin pillow cases make me hot too!
Does the bonnet with the wide band have silk lining the band? Do you have any negative issues with it?
That’s actually a really good question. I’m not sure exactly what the material of the band is, but I don’t believe it’s Cotten. It feels smooth and slick to the touch. I haven’t had any issues with it.

hello sis , new here im so proud of you that was great content , im learning so much here. i love mielle gel
Thank you so much! I am trying my best to improve quality with every video!
Hi Nia! How often do you retighten your edges vs. your whole head retie routine?
I retighten the edges every 5-7 weeks tops. The rest of my head I neglect tbh. I can’t even say that I have a schedule for the rest of my head anymore.
Another great video!!!
Thank you (:

Thank you!
Nia, You should check out Niathelocgodproducts on Instagram!
I already love her name lol! I will check them out! Thank you so much 😊!
There shouldn't be any animal in any wine. It's all fomented fruit. 😂
