Big Block Chevy push rod binding solved with adjustable guide plates

Installing Dart adjustable guide plates on a gen V 454 with a retrofit roller, flotek 290 heads.
Push rods were binding on standard guide plates with comp cams magnum roller top rockers. Solved binding with dart adjustable guide plates.

yeah, I think anymore part quality is just horrible. bought a set of 3/8 guideplates, had them for 1.5 years before I installed and found that they are horrible with alignment. broke them, aligned them, then welded them back together.

@@accidentaltradesman5139 Oh there are a few of us watching lol. I told others about the videos that are interested in the same thing. I would like to see it now if it was complete and functioning. Did you migrate parts of the HD into it to save some on the AVID? If so could you add that in and how smooth or not smooth it was. And how well the tramming works on it. I added linear rails to my HD and got the ball screw to replace the X belt. Was going to do the same for the Y. But have really been throwing around getting the Avid kit and trying to use some of the HD stuff for it. Thanks for replying.

Did you install the guide plates on every cylinder. I decided to get upgraded one piece pushrods guide plates and full roller rockers. I’m hoping to gain 50 hp lol.
