- Gen V 7.4L mercruiser. Noise on startup. I screwed up! Lock nut lost it’s nuts!
Big Block Chevy 454 in a boat. Sounded like lifter noise. I kept hoping it was a just a lifter that had not pumped up yet.
Hey man, thanks for making this video. Just built my first engine and after fixing exhaust leaks and making a quieter exhaust, i can confirm that I have a noise like this in my engine. I took off the one side and found them all tight so I'm hoping the other side there is a loose rocker ,easy fix.

@@accidentaltradesman5139 yep, turns out I had a bigger issue than you lol, rockers came off completely, and had a broken pushrod. Seems like the poly locks didn't hold tight for me.
