RUclips, please, remove the advertisements from the middle of such a lovely concert. It's a crime to interrupt it. Thanks!
Josué Cremonezzi He has to make money somehow. and plus, he put the advertisements between the movments like a fairly nice person
I subscribed to RUclips Red, and can listen commercial-free. Yeah, it's about $0.35/ day, but you can listen in the background or download for when offline, and the channel gets their cut.
@ThornyForZyra Why, unless the money goes to Mozart (...), Hahn or someone involved in producing this? I frankly don't see why anyone else should make money off of it.
EDIT: directly from the channel description: "I do not mean to infringe any copyrights or to make profit over copyrighted material."
He has to make money, but why put the advertisements in the middle of the video ?Back then advertisements only appear at the beginning of the video...As I remember...
If using Chrome, try getting an ad blocker extension, it works very well, I never get ads.

One of the greats of all time.
@@carolinac.b.1690 that’s a fact, not an opinion
No doubt She is undisputed greatest of our time and may be deserved to sit Just to Heifetz
I know you guys love her , but Heifetz is legandary.
Her playing is a marvel, so very tasteful, and lyrical while so very precise in her intonation, not an easy feat in playing Mozart, where all is transparent. Lovely performance, and the Orchestra is wonderful sounds like an excellent Court Orchestra of the 1770s! Mozart would have loved to have had players this good!

Both Hahn and the orchestra as close as humanly possible to perfection. A spiritual delight.

I have no idea what I'm hearing. I have no classical training in music. I'm a plebeian. Yet, this is marvelous work and I'm awestruck in that way a child might be at seeing the ocean for the first time.
Mozart is the master. And Hahn's tonality between her bow attack and strings is also masterful, and her vibrato is no less than gorgeous.. Listen also to Mozart's Concerto No. 3 and enjoy the delight. BTW: I am a rock guitarist of 57 years and also know nothing about classical music. But Mozart is pretty easy to be dazzled by! Tchaikovsky ain't bad, either!

I have heard Hilary Hahn play the Mendelssohn many times but this is the first time I have heard her play Mozart's 5th. How could I have missed such a jewel?
The way Ms. Hahn blended so perfectly with the orchestra is phenomenal. What a talent!
Yes, her ensemble skills are one of the best things about her.
I am truly blessed to be able to be alive at the same time as Hilary Hahn. To be able to hear her play. Truly one of the best if not the best violin soloists of all time. Truly breathtaking.

Brava Hilary!!!
A 1954 live recording of Jascha Heifetz playing Bach's Chaconne has just been put on RUclips, absolutely incredible playing. I do love Hillary Hahn's playing, but when I listen to Heifetz, he is supreme, those live recordings with Toscanini, recorded in the 1930s are unbelievable. I'm still not sure who I prefer out of today's violinists. Hillary Hahn's purity of sound sometimes reminds me of Heifetz. She's a wonderful player.

Hilary Hahn is beautiful, just like her playing.
Beautiful. the music I mean. There is a lot more to being a gifted musician than acrobatics with your instrument - while riding a unicycle with hoola hoops, and that is being as much of an artist as the composer. Hillary has this and more. Beautiful.
She be playing Paganini with a hoola hoop tho
Huge Happy Birthday to Hilary Hahn !
Brilliant tone, phrasing and technique. Would be great to hear Hahn under the baton of maestro George Cleve, who founded Midsummer Mozart Festival Orchestra. While getting my degree in video production decades ago he agreed to let me tape a documentary of the orchestra in rehearsal. One thing he said stayed all these years: "Mozart shouldn't be rushed. You need to take your time with his music." Cleve has found a pacing sweet spot for his Mozart interpretations -- not heavy and ponderous, and not like a race to the end.

An excited reader has notified me that Playboy magazine is running a feature titled Too Hot to Handel: the sexiest babes in classical music.
Before you waste a moment’s click on the site, let me assure you that all of them are decorously clad. Along with the all-too predictable Anna Netrebko and Danielle de Niese, Playboy has selected violinists Leila Josefowicz, Julia Fischer, Janine Jansen, Hilary Hahn and Anne-Sophie Mutter, the last in a photograph that must have been taken at least ten years ago, or in very flattering light. Ms Mutter is described as Austrian - she’s German - and a MILF, which is a term that does not bear cultural elucidation.
Two relative unknowns are included. One is the oboist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the other, perhaps, someone’s girlfriend.
All good clean fun, right? Wrong.
Let me tell you a story. Ten years ago, a Finnish violinist called Linda Lampenius allowed herself to be talked into posing nude for Playboy under the stage name Linda Brava. Her centrefold appearance landed an EMI record contract and an avalanche of media attention. Her first record reached number 14 in the UK charts and there was no follow-up. She was taken up as a talent by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, and quickly dropped. She appeared on Baywatch, just the once.
A victim of unrealistic expectations, Linda went through years of turmoil before making her way back home to Finland, where a producer friend of mine recorded her some months ago playing chamber music - rather well, he said. The story has a happy ending. Linda, 38, is expecting her first baby in the coming weeks. Let’s wish her well.
The Playboy experience is not to be recommended as a means of advancing a musical career. It’s exploitation, that’s the bare truth. Don’t bother to look.
