We chose the hard rock Cabo to host our daughters wedding. We had over 30 guests in attendance at the wedding. My daughter, our new in-laws, our friends, and many others booked rock royalty rooms. We arrived on a Monday only to be told by the rock royalty concierge, Roger, that we couldn’t get cabanas or Bali beds for the week but after $150 tip, he managed to find us a bali bed for 2 days. In fact, all Roger did was say no almost the entire trip. Probably easier to do that than to work. We were told that all the restaurants we wanted to attend for the week were booked and Roger had to do some work to get us into a couple places we wanted. We knew about the COVID restrictions and we only had six people in our party who were going to each restaurant. We paid extra to get the rock royalty, and except for four chocolates that were in our rock royalty room on night one, we got no benefits that any of your other guests didn’t get. We were never told any extras that we could do because of our rock royalty level. Again, Roger being lazy in my opinion. Our friends had Yummi and she was incredible; you would have thought they were the couple getting married. Got every reservation they wanted, champagne in their rooms, etc. Roger was borderline terrible. After check-in, we had to wait over two hours to go to our room.We showed up for dinner at our confirm time and the hostess said we didn’t have a reservation, but thank goodness we had the confirmation email. On the Wednesday we met with the wedding planner to go over the ceremony that was going to take place on the Thursday. Carlla the wedding coordinator was not at this event and somebody else stepped in for her. My daughter told this wedding coordinator that she did not want orange in her flowers, but on Thursday at the ceremony they were giant orange flowers in the centerpieces. We had no idea what time we’re supposed to be anywhere for the wedding. We asked for a Bridal suite where all the girls (5 total people) could get ready together and we told that we had to pay another $50 fee, the room was in the salon and was super tiny. We had all made hair and make up appointments for that day, spending hundreds of dollars in extras but treated so poorly. On the day of the wedding Thursday, June 17 the wind was blowing very hard. Carlla never came and asked if we would like to move the ceremony indoors (or if it was even an option or not) so that our guests would not be pelted with sand from the beach. Also, the reception was on the roof of the Mexican restaurant which also was super windy that evening. Flowers and lanterns were sliding off the tables. My daughter also requested that the tables be set up together, in a long family table, so everyone was together, but when we entered the reception there were 5 tables all spread out over the reception area. On a positive note, The servers for the wedding, the DJ and the photographer were all great. Also Charlie our server at the rhythm pool was great every single day. He could teach Roger a few things on customer service. For Friday morning we had booked two reservations for vans to take 20 people into downtown Cabo. When we arrive in lobby at 1130AM, it took Cath and Roger 30 minutes to us your transportation company (yes, Hard Rocks personal company)never got the reservation and we had to take taxis into town. On a positive, after some arguing with Cath, we paid for taxis into town and Hard Rock picked us up for free. Roger even showed up at 1130pm to make sure. The one good thing he did. Roger never filled us in on any events except forwarding the agenda each morning. He never offered up options or recommendations of where we should go or things to do. On Saturday, we walked around and made it to the red pool on the other side of the buildings only to noticed they had a live band playing, volleyball games, and all sorts of activities that we were never told were happening at any of the pools. Most people want to be treated special for their weddings being at a resort. Roger was the brides butler as well but never asked her if he could be helpful. That same Saturday, I also asked my daughter if anybody had done anything special in her room: flowers, food or anything to celebrate that they had just gotten married, she said no so I called the front desk to see what I could send up. I was only able to send up a couple chocolate covered strawberries. Then as she was checking out she thought she was going to get two shirts for having the wedding there and they said that it wasn’t part of her package. They also lost her cake topper. The checkout process was also interesting; instead of having the concierge help us we waited in line to check out after the Rock Royalty desk told us to go there (FYI, the two guys who told us to go to the front desk weren’t doing anything except goofing off). For this whole week we wanted it to be special for our family and I feel like the hard rock took that away from us each step of the way we had no,no, no. Your team, especially Roger, would rather say no than to work. I feel like my daughter and new son-in-law were not celebrated how they should’ve been, being rock royalty level and for us paying so much for the wedding package, rooms, food, photographs, flowers and to have so many people there. Our guest also had issues with their rooms. A family had their room flooded because of a clogged shower and another family had a flooded room because of a clogged shower and their a/c was broken. One of our guests was celebrating their anniversary and booked a swim up room, when they checked in they said they didn’t have anymore swim up rooms and they were given a reglar room. I was very embarrassed for having our guest spend so much money for such a subpar experience. Also. The one elevator was broken each day when were trying to get to our room. We were told we had to be at the ceremony 3 days before, but nothing was done before the day before the ceremony. I would not recommend this resort, the staff was overwhelmed, the wedding event was not anything like we planned and for Hard Rock Brand it was anything but rocking. #HRHLosCabos
I have reservations at the Hard Rock Los Cabos. The confirmation identifies the unit type as an AMBASSADOR KING. What level / type of room is this? I can’t seem to find any rooms on their website or online in this category. Also, what is the tipping protocol at the restaurants. Thank you for your feedback.
I'll call my concierge and ask about the suite on Monday. Tipping at the restaurant is not required as it is included in the membership or price of the room. Feel free to tip what you deem appropriate.
Hello Tracy, the yellow bracelet which is the one every non-member gets will give you access three of the four pools, a room in the lower floors, access to all the restaurants, but you will have to reservation your dinners at the beginning of the week. And that's about it for Los Cabos. Here, take a look. rentourtimeshare.org/compare-benefits-between-hard-rock-and-palace-resort/
Hello Mario. I am a recent Legendary Member after traveling to UNICO 2087 on your recommendation. You mentioned in one of your videos that guest could upgrade or piggyback your Hall of Fame status. As I said, I’m new to this and wanted to get some information before I booked my trip to HR Cabo
You can use my Hall of Fame members and it will give you VIP benefits. If you are already VIP it wouldn't help, but if you are only a regular member, that will increase your benefits by quite a lot.
Another great review. Really thinking about this. I can get the Nobu King Bed Ocean view for about $150/night cheaper right now when compared to the Hard Rock Deluxe Partial Ocean View, but seems the All Inclusive aspect makes up for it
Thanks. As an HoF I have a meal plan at Nobu, but it is complicated and having to sign everything you ask for a drink is not my thing. I have made a review about it.
They are not placing chairs and cabanas on the beach because the law prevent it. As for swimming in the ocean, it is well known by the locals that the currents are too strong and the ocean too deep to swim in the ocean.
In the resort the Mexican restaurant and the Mexican night are quiet nice, but if you really want to experience the local culture, you will have to take a taxi to town. About 25 minutes away.
How is this resort your favorite when you CANT SWIM IN THE OCEAN. people go on vacation to THE BEACH, not the pool. I can go to the pool anytime I want in my city. What hell is wrong with you, this resort is horrible
I use to live in Jamaica, the beaches were amazing, but everything else sucks. I judge resort by the service, the food, and the facility, not the sand and the ocean in from of it.
This is now my favourite resort and that's including Le Blanc Spa Resort which has been #1 in Cancun for 14 years. It is that great.
question are there hot tubs by the pool ? Or it’s just pools
The trip to Las Cabos was fantastic, the people unbelievably nice - it is a must to come back again.
I'm happy you enjoyed it. I was there two times, almost 3 months total and I'll go again next year for sure.
Very well done video, considering Hard Rock among others in Cabo and your thorough review is so helpful!
Thank you. It is mostly reflecting my honest opinion at the time of my stay.

Which do you think is better to visit this time of year? Punta Cana or Los Cabos? We would love to go snorkeling also
Hello, then I would say Hard Rock Los Cabos, because there are a LOT of amazing places for scuba diving and snorkeling 30-60 minutes from the resort.
Can you tell me what a basic bracelet ( I think it’s yellow?) gets you at the resort as far as pools/restaurants??
Thank you,
Tracy
Hello Tracy, the yellow bracelet which is the one every non-member gets will give you access three of the four pools, a room in the lower floors, access to all the restaurants, but you will have to reservation your dinners at the beginning of the week. Do they have vendors selling souvenirs out on the beach. I don't want to shop at the resort I'm looking for discount souvenirs.
A group is setting out a souvenir market on the bea f, but they don't come and bother you. You can go to them, though.

Hey Mario! loved the video! does hard rock specifically not allow you on the beach? or is all los cabos resorts not allow beach swimming/ lounging?
They are not placing chairs and cabanas on the beach because the law prevent it. As for swimming in the ocean, it is well known by the locals that the currents are too strong and the ocean too deep to swim in the ocean.
@@MarioStingerPerpetualTraveller Can we at least lay a blanket on the sand and lay there?
There is a list of beaches that you can swim in and there are hotels on those beaches. www.cabo-adventures.com/en/blog/can-you-swim-in-cabo
Are the pools heated?
There is a heater in the big whirlpool in the member area, but the main pools are not heated.
Where is the best place to go to get a feel for the real Mexican Culture and how do I get there?
In the resort the Mexican restaurant and the Mexican night are quiet nice, but if you really want to experience the local culture, you will have to take a taxi to town. About 25 minutes away.
Can you visit the restaurants/pools at hard rock if you are not staying there?
Yes, you can buy a day pass for 150$
