I played the original quidditch World Cup game from like, 2006 and it was a lot of fun back then, so I can only imagine what they could do with this in 2024
From 2003! I already ranked the game as my 229th favorite game. Both games are pretty awesome, but they're pretty different. This new one is a multiplayer team game through and through. Think closer to Rocket League, but with more people and positions.
9/4/2024 UPDATE - THIS GAME IS NOT REMOTELY IN THE STATE IT WAS WHEN I PLAYTESTED IT! The game now is, actually, trash, and would not have made my rankings at all. Previously, it was an incredibly fun, competitive multiplayer only experience on the level of Rocket League. They fundamentally changed most parts of what they were doing, and force you to have bot teammates that don't help, and you can't dedicate to learning one role. Now, also anyone can knock other players out, not just beaters, so the game devolves quickly into just punching each other and not playing Quidditch. 2/10.

You’re right, this was NOT the game I thought it was. Not sure what tomorrow’s game is, but I’m looking forward to it!
