There are two truths about Catalyst's combat that people don't seem to get. 1. Parkour and combat are meant to go together. That early mission "be like water" is the MOST important combat tutorial in the game. 2. You will ALWAYS have obstacles around to combine the two. Yes, sometimes your punch or kick flails at the air because of the weird acceleration during combat button presses, but for themost part, combat in this game can look incredible! Turn off that shitty UI circle, start moving and see how this game was *meant* to be played.

Twisted Treeline was great, but it did kind of warp its own meta around bruisers and assassins, from what I remember. Also, the reason mages were good solo laner’s wasn’t just that they could clear waves well, but that they scaled better with experience than they did with gold (which ADC’s pretty much exclusively scaled with). So it was better to not share experience with a support.

Tetris is great, unlike Kathryn Hahn, she can’t even spell her first name correctly.

I was with your Dad at Best Buy when we bought the 4 TVs, 4 Xboxes, 4 copies of Halo, and 11 extra controllers. They didn't have enough in stock for us to get all 12 extra controllers in one go! I agree that in-person Halo (and Halo 2) LAN parties were some of the best times I've had playing video games.

This is definitely the smash game I enjoyed the most. I played a LOT of Ike, Olimar, and Diddy Kong

I had a class this spring where one of my fellow grad students gave a presentation on the music of Halo. In it, they analyzed how it was used in the opening mission - its genius and subtle in ways I hadn’t realized before.

You can beat the final level with many less shadows, just coordinate them to jump on each other by waiting for a while near the chasm, kinda like the goomba bridges of the minimal A press challenge fir Super Maro 64
