    Before pouring it on the popcorn just wait a couple minutes to cool down so the popcorn doesn't melt and become less crunchy

      To even the spread out put the caramel pop corn under your arms or between your legs to heat up again and spread the mixture again till even ...hope this helps

    Let me say thank you for a truly amazing recipe. I literally just made this and it is so delicious and not hard to make at all. Just work quickly and carefully when you get to pouring the caramel on the popcorn. It's so good, I can't see myself going to the store to buy this again.

    Today, I made some salted caramel popcorn with a touch of sambal. When I pop the corn kernel, I added a teaspoon of sambal oil (the excess oil when I made my sambal belacan). The result is amazing. Sweet, salty and a bit of fire at the end.

    I took mine off the heat and instantly poured it on the popcorn but it got hard instantly I couldn’t even finish mixing it is that normal if not what could I’ve potentially done wrong?

      Was your butter cold? Everything has be room temperature before you add it into melted sugar or it'll just clump together

      You probably cooked the Carmel too much, you should stop cooking as soon as it gets brown and work very fast, and it is also important at what temperature the room is. If the room is cold then the Carmel called faster

    I used brown sugar, can you give me a time frame to let it brown up? I can't really tell when it's amber

      Use a thermometer, cook the syrup to 310f (155C)
      and close the flame

      We tried it yesterday and it took about 15min. Or even a little longer. But we cooked it on low heat :)

    I m sure there used to be an ambulant seller of popcorn balls like this at school when I was kid. There wasn't much choice in those days; it was sweet and safer than sandwiches. It was probably very similar to this recipe, thank you.

      Dont touch the caramel until the last moment, stirring it makes it crystallise

    can i add less sugar?
    edit: i did use less sugar and it was okay. i should've waited a little longer for the sugar to have more color but i didnt. also didnt turn off the heat. i kinda messed up but in the end, my caramel looked similar to the one in the vid so i just shrug it off and mixed it with my popcorn. i didnt get to even it out though bc the caramel started to solidify 😭😭 but its sooo good though!!
    edit: my mom tasted it and she liked it. she recommended me to try brown sugar bc its less sweet and gives more color.

      That’s how I make caramel corn..I also add peanuts with the sugared caramel..syrup..Some people bake it 10 minutes in the oven after you pour the Carmel on..You have to watch it and stir it real well..
