It's a good thing that they're doing DLCs. One of their biggest issues is time in creating games and instead of just shoving mystery gift Pokemon in, the DLC is giving him more time to craft a story which I 100% agree with you Voltsy.
Even thou it's not a full on story like this but there was the mini little post game story with heatran. I mean I don't think it's like a full on story but it's like a mini little side story I guess.

If y’all didn’t know Calyrex saved one of the 2 horses from the meteor which is supposed to be Eturnatus that crashed down.
It also saved the fossil pokemon that's why they are walking around the crown tundra and don't need to be revived
