I was worried about post-finasteride syndrome. While researching other options for hair loss I found a study that said oral minoxidil was safer and more effective. I decided to give it a try. It has exceeded my expectations.
While researching I also found a doctor on RUclips who said that he only prescribed finasteride to be taken three times a week. He said that is sufficient for hair loss and he has never had a patient develop adverse side effects at that dosage.

Thank you for sharing your experience! When it comes to decisions about medications we encourage everyone to consult with the prescriber and make an informed decision about what is best for them.

You grossly underestimate what PFS is. My genitals are literally numb and deformed. How is that psychological? It all happened after exposure to the drug.

Thank you for your comment. We hope you are not misled by the title of this video. We acknowledge that PFS is a real medical condition throughout this episode. In this clip we discuss the impact on a person’s psychology of post finesteride syndrome and how those emotional states may contribute to a worsening of symptoms. Many conditions that are physical in nature can be made worse by depression, anxiety and other psychological states and this is quite common with sexual dysfunction. It was not our intention to be dismissive of the physical symptoms that you or anyone else are experiencing.
