"Kendogi" could be used for the entire thing, meaning "kendo gear". More specifically, the bottom "pants/skirt" part is called a hakama, and the top "jacket" part is called a keikogi, kendogi, or just gi.
The Uchidachi was in too much of a rush, he had to look down at his belt to place the sword. The back steps in number 1 were too quick which forced the Shidachi to shift to Joudan hastily, as well as causing the missed parry in number 3. The quick pace just leaves little to no room for zanshin or any gravitas for that matter. It's a shame that even in the higher grades, kata remains a largely neglected aspect of Kendo. Budo in general is unbalanced.
i agree with you. some might say you are not allowed to criticise just because he is 8th dan but if you listen to all the people with high grades it's all about the path to perfection and that there is always something to learn. he was in deed to fast for his own good.
Yeah, these guys are amateurs. Not one energy beam or shadow clone. And neither of them yelled “I’m gonna be king of the pirates!” These 8th dan kendoka who dedicated their lives to the sport have no chance against a real expert like you, right?
Grazie
maestros que demostración de senseis. más por favor.
what are the names of their uniform parts? I know that one is called kendogi, but these are differente, more like...elegant.

@@raindrain1 keiko meaning 'training' and 'gi' more like clothing, so it's just a training shirt. it's also used in some other japanese sports
@@salimeusz Essentially correct, but the gi used in, say, judo is meaningfully different from the one used for kendo.
@@raindrain1 yes of course, they do have differences. But the hakama are the same right?
@@salimeusz As far as I know.

Do better instead of talking of doing better
Ooooooh, look at Mr 8 dan over here. Lmao

@Alexander Galejev He's right though. Uchidachi was very rushed and his maai was off in several of the kata.
I am pretty sure the demonstrators saw the video and had the same critique to themselves, perhaps more harsh even.
Kon’nichiwa watashi wa Nihon ni hamatte imasu 😉
To KW
What do you mean "kata""enbu"?
Kata refers to the 10 prescribed forms with the wooden sword shown in video. Enbu means demonstration or exhibition.
10.
I thought that it will be the real fight.

Your life is a joke too. What’s your point?
