Tochinoshin grabbed everyone who was close to the edge so they didn't fall off. What does he get for it? Shoved off the platform into the crowd by Abi.
I noticed that too. As a foreigner, he goes above and beyond to maintain the standard and etiquette of the circle- he doesn't want any reason for people to think otherwise. As a reward for having grace and etiquette, he's constantly bamboozled.
Maybe he is just that strong. He could put up such a force that the only way to overpower him is to try to exert speed in the short times that he is off balance, and if they stop or slow down, he will catch the ring and keep him self in. Tochinoshin grabbed everyone who was close to the edge so they didn't fall off. What does he get for it? Shoved off the platform into the crowd by Abi.
Green lol I noticed that too, he gently put people to the edge
I noticed that too. As a foreigner, he goes above and beyond to maintain the standard and etiquette of the circle- he doesn't want any reason for people to think otherwise. As a reward for having grace and etiquette, he's constantly bamboozled.
@@Shamino1 That etiquette could make him lose sometimes, imagine if an NFL player did that, just wierd.
It could be a heat of the moment but clearly the man doesn't wanna hurt his opponents like that.
Maybe he is just that strong. He could put up such a force that the only way to overpower him is to try to exert speed in the short times that he is off balance, and if they stop or slow down, he will catch the ring and keep him self in. This man really brought the A-game with the lower body strength this go round.
For anyone curious: His birth name is Levan Gorgadze, and he was born on October 13, 1987, in Mtskheta, Georgia. (The country, not the U.S. state)
Georgia has some really strong competitors, another one of my favorites is Levan Saginashvili in arm wrestling! An absolute beast!

First time watching sumo with English commentary. I can finally understand what's going on.
Тотиносин Цуёси (яп. 栃ノ心剛 Тотиносин Цуёси, настоящее имя Леван Горгадзе, родился 13 октября 1987 года, в Мцхете, Грузия) - профессиональный борец сумо,
I'm amazed that even with all this fat you can clearly see A LOT of muscle underneath. He's strong af.
You havent seen many powerlifters or off season bodybuilders then! :D
He seems to be the only one, though. Every other guy is just fat.
@@FlynnAlek Very far from it. Watch their thighs during a bout and you'll see plenty of muscle.
That "muscle" is scar tissue from whatever hes putting in his shoulders (must be dirty steroids cuz you can see similar lumps on is butt)
For sure he is juiced !!!
i know little of sumo, but for a short period of time i was lucky enough to have it on uk tv 30yrs ago, and even more fortunate it was when chionofuji was fighting, that guy was just a different breed to all the other fighters, this guy kinda reminds me of him, not being just a big belly but has defination
The initial smack sound they make when they collide is incredible!!
That force is probably bone breaking for a normal sized human. I'm not even joking.
5:13 I love how neither of them looks like they're taking the other one lightly. They're both equally tense and fired up and that's an amazing compliment in Sumo; it's a mutual acknowledgement that the other one is a total badass... and that taking a few seconds to get better prepared isn't cowardly, it's a damned good strategy.
I was so confused about this. How do they signal to each other that they are gonna relax for a min?
Tochinoshin Tsuyoshi (栃ノ心 剛史, born 13 October 1987 as Levan Gorgadze, Georgian: ლევან გორგაძე) is a professional sumo wrestler from Mtskheta, Georgia. He is a member of the Kasugano stable and made his professional debut in March 2006. He reached the top makuuchi division just two years later in May 2008. After a long hiatus due to injury, he began his comeback from the rank of makushita 55 in March 2014, logging four championships in a row in lower divisions on his way back to the top division in November 2014. He has eleven special prizes, six for Fighting Spirit, three for Technique, and two for Outstanding Performance, as well as two kinboshi or gold stars for defeating yokozuna. In January 2018 he took his first top-division yūshō (championship). In May 2018, after finishing as runner-up with a 13-2 record and a total of 37 wins in his last three tournaments, he was promoted to ōzeki. He was demoted to sekiwake after posting losing records in the first two tournaments of 2019, but returned to ōzeki after winning ten matches at the May 2019 basho.[2
