Ben's more recent videos are more fun than they've ever been! Literally feels like just chilling with an old friend. It feels like we're finally seeing more of your real personality again
For some context, the "celebrity" chef, Baek Jong-Won is basically like a Gordan Ramsay of South Korea where he personally went around helping failing restaurants (minus the Ramsay rage) and teaching them how to fix their issues and basically revitalized a lot of opportunities and businesses within the country, especially during the pandemic. He is also an incredibly skilled chef who has traveled all around the world, respecting and learning about diverse global cuisines while also giving exposure to Korean cuisines to foreigners who have never had it before. I would argue that he deserves more emphasis and respect as being a highly masterful chef and incredibly smart/caring businessman compared to being a celebrity because his fame was built on his hard work and selfless character. But at the end of the day a lot of his restaurants are franchise chains that may be hit or miss depending on who made it but the things he has done for the country are really impactful and positive which is why he is so well known and praised.
Chef Baek is an awesome dude. I watched his show 'Backpacker Chef' and he's the total opposite of stingy, he would serve enormous portion to whoever he is cooking to (not those fine dining bs) and he would gladly cook more food if someone request for it.
Your "context" is a bit misleading for those who are not familiar with Baek Jong-won. Incredibly skilled? I get the comparison to Gordan Ramsay in terms of being an entrepreneur and also making cooking and traveling tv-shows, but "highly masterful chef" is excessive. He does not have Michelin stars. He is no where near a Gordon Ramsay-type chef in terms of skill or restaurateur ability. He's a celebrity chef and businessman and a great TV personality. He seems to do great work promoting Korean food and advocating for various restaurants during his travels. I know that training under world-class European chefs and having Michelin stars is not the only criteria for being considered a great chef, but one has to acknowledge the amount of hardwork and skill that doing those things requires. Chef Baek Jong-won has done none of that. Good guy, good chef, good businessman.
it's pretty bad yeah, I hear that in Japan, Dominos is 3-4 times more expensive than in the US, a US medium is a large for them and goes for like 30+ dollars
9:30 Thats true though, suddenly this guy made alot of appearances on variety shows on almost every channel around that time, I thought "oh this guy must be a big deal back in the day and just recently got back into showbiz after a hiatus" or something. Im almost annoyed by him, coz he's treated like some know it all, and his words are gospel, his ego must be massive.
If you fast forward the movie...the chicken is sliding of the screen. One mm at the time, when its laying on the table..... Is Ben Haunted? Am I the only one seeing this!?!?!?!?
Ugh. Absolutely torturing myself watching this. I’ve came into hard times and I hardly have money for the cheapest fast food or some days even going without. It all looks so good

people don't realize what's franchise is, it is using someone or a company to sell

Damn bro you had me thinking my phone was having a stroke
Here's a video idea: A revisit of the Coke vs Pepsi blind taste test, except with Coke Zero and Pepsi Zero
Or rank all the variations with each other like cherry coke vs cherry pepsi
Ben was off the good pack this video☠️😂
Baek‘s travel shows are great, if you're looking for anthony bourdain substitution give it a try.

20 bucks for a pizza pie is wild, at least in ny it's usually like 30-40 for a pizza pie with pepperoni alone
