    What a great great video this is. I really appreciate those tutorials in this manner. Jon, You! Deserve all the credits, because with this tutorials you are the best to explain videos while playing them. That makes it for us so much better to understand. Really great.!!!

    Man this one looks great! I have watched several of your "Train Game" videos. How does this one compare to some of the others, like Irish Gauge, Iberian Gauge, Southern Rails, etc? This one seems to be the most interesting to me, but I have not played any.
    Think you finally convinced me to give train games a try...

  • @henribcosta

    Thanks for the video, looks a very interesting game.
    A quick question, is there a reasoning for building first the Wood factory instead of the Stone one? They have the same cost but it's more lucrative to sell stone at first...

    • @JonGetsGames
      @JonGetsGames  2 года назад

      Huh, honestly I didn't notice. So no, there was no reason. In this case I suppose building stone first would have been a slightly better move.

  • @MurrRockstroh

    At 11:20 I think this was the first time, and you may have done it once or twice more. You say you take an action and then the next player in a clockwise direction will take their action, etc. That should be in turn order, shouldn't it? And thank you for doing this, it clears up a lot for me and I can finally get this to the table.
    At 12:45, I missed this the first time around, when explaining dropping down on the Influence track, you said you move left and go to the bottom-most empty space in the column you move to, but it should have been top-most empty space.

    • @alexhuemer4747
      @alexhuemer4747 2 года назад +1

      you are right. It´s not clockwise, it should be in turn order ;)

    A complicated game, well explained. Thx.
    (If you have 0 influence, can you still perform an action that requires it?)
    e.g. 0 influence, and raise stock price for -1

    The first thing I want to say is: thanks again for the explanation. Very nice to watch it again. But I also have a question: at 1.08 you buy a new train of 50, but I don't see that you pay money for it, do you not have to pay for a new train or did you forget it or did I really miss it?

    • @JonGetsGames

    hey thanks for the tuotrial. Could you buy differently purple workers ? You spent 10+20+30 on one city. But You could have spent 10+20 and then 10+20, and get 4 workers ?

    • @olivierbaton
      @olivierbaton 2 года назад

      Oh, I found the reason. You must choose a city and buy all your workers from that city in this round.

    Huh, I'm usually all into industrial/train games, but this one didn't grab me as much. I think its that the production engine, while there, is only a small part of the game rather than a centerpiece as in, say, Brass. I would play this if someone else pulled it out, though. I do really love the way investors work, it's better than most 'loan' mechanics in games.

      I usually do 3p, but sometimes it makes sense to film at 2p or at 4+ depending on the game. I decided it was better to do 2p for this one, largely due to needing to fit all of this onto my recording table.

    Good lord, this game looks like it could be fun to play but there is no way I'm going to be able to convince anyone else to try it, there's just way too many rules and things to keep in mind. I'd rather teach Terra Mystica or Great Western Trails then attempt this behemoth.
