Got my Tudor BB58 from BQ Watches, it was only 3 months old and got a significant discount on RRP. Glad to see someone like yourself endorses them, gives some piece of mind!
That's a nice one! Also a reference I didn't know existed. I'm like you and haven't clicked with Omega. The only modern Omega I'd consider owning (other than the obvious, Moonwatch) is the Seamaster Railmaster Blue Dial. It's not blingy, no annoying polished bits (enough with the polished center link Omega! It's a terrible look!). It's simple, classic and cool. Though when it comes down to decision time, I'd still prefer a Tudor Black Bay Heritage in blue more. Great review Russell!
Wow that is spooky - for some reason I had a notion to wear my completely original 1978 166.0250 Baby Ploprof today and then suddenly your video pops up. The 166.0250 is basically the non integrated bracelet version of the same watch and was originally supplied on either the same shark mesh bracelet as the full fat Ploprof (which mine has) or a perforated leather strap. The integrated bracelet watch is reference 166.0251.
Wasn't expecting this! Very cool. It's pretty funny how the Omega you finally fall in love with is an old integrated bracelet rebuilt one lol. It is great- I wish they would make it again. Get your hands on a neo-vintage 2254 seamaster- If I could only keep one that would be it!!! (although the slick bezel would probably infuriate you- but you can see the lineage that inspired the cwc rn diver)
Nice!..One of the COUNTLESS super cool vintage Omegas…there is a LONG list of vintage Omegas that I wish they would reissue….the Ranchero, the Admiralty and yes, this one too…the Baby Ploprof….thanks for featuring!
Nice!! Looks a lot like the Momentum SeaQuartz 30 (which I think I'll stick with given the price!) Also has some Ecozilla vibes, though clearly a little (ok, a lot) thinner.... 👍
Honestly I love old watches, they're some of my favourite watches. Nothing beats owning or looking at a watch that's truly fantastic and finding out it's considerably older than you. I had this with a Seiko, finding out it was double my age, let's just say I stopped complaining about the plus 6-9 seconds a day after finding that out.
That’s a beauty of a little watch. Even with a two year warranty, I’m just a little wary of vintage watches. I don’t know if it’s like a classic car where you’re going to spend a lot more time and money maintaining it. Thanks for showing it to us!
Wow, just wow!!! This is one of the best videos you have made, and one of the best finds. It's always said that vintage is a midfield, but you can find diamonds if you look in the right places. Congrats and enjoy it and use it.
My favourite range of the seamaster's, proper watches, great designs. My neighbour's got one that was passed down from his dad, awesome piece. Did a double take on the dial n hands, glad you explained its been refurbished, great job though, love the looks of it. Your so so lucky to be younger than this watch unlike me 😢, only by a bit mind😂. Thanks for another great show
I am a big fan of the ploprof , I actually tried one on at a watch forum meet we did in the London omega store years ago and looked fantastic on my 7 1/2 " wrist , I would love to own one if they wasn't that expensive , and thats why I also love the baby ploprof I think its the dial and bezel and those hands are great.
If you haven’t tried a ploprof on, I’d definitely recommend it before dismissing the size - it’s big on paper but there’s barely any lugs, so whilst it’s meaty on its waistline it wears smaller than you’d think!
I’ve never heard of this Omega but I agree it’s awesome! Im not that into the looks of alot of Omegas current catalogue but my favourite Omega is the 2254.50 Seamaster. This is an equally tasty diver though. Very nice! Fantastic show as ever MWC 👏👏👏👏
Outstanding! As far as replacing the Parts… if it had the original Crystal dial and hands, and they were in good condition, the watch would be unobtainable… And one would be a full to wear it as it would be a museum piece. I’ve had several classic cars and although they were 80% original the other 20% made them drivable and affordable…
If you look at old pictures of Phil Collins in the early 70s, he had one of these. People sometimes misidentify it as a Submariner but it’s definitely an integrated bracelet Seamaster.
It reminds me of the Momentum Sea Quartz 30. Now we all know you love the Sea Quartz, so it's not surprising you like this as well. I know they're completely different watches, but as for me, I'll take the wonderful Magnum PI back story, daily wear usefulness of quartz, and save all the money in the process. Love your show, cheers.
I loved that part where you said, "I didn't know that either" It's like you heard me when I said out loud to myself, "I had no idea" 😅 I don't really like integrated watch bracelets either but this does look good on the wrist.
I have an Omega De Ville 162.0060 that has either the same or similar movement - caliber 1010 or 1012, and I enjoy the 28,800 bph sweep. I would love an integrated bracelet Seamaster dive watch version of it!
2:20 Fun fact, first men integrated bracelet watch coming out to the market is by Omega (Constellation 168.045 / 368.845) on 1969, 3 years prior to AP RO. Sadly succumb to the success of its siblings C-shape Constellation (also by Genta) circa 1965-1970s. The more you know.
We've discussed before that my lifetime everyday watch has been a 1969 Seamaster 120 that I bought new in Switzerland. While not a true diver I did SCUBA dive with it for decades until it finally leaked in 2006. It's more a display occasional wear watch. The factory told me in 1989 that it's WR couldn't be guaranteed.
My head is spinning, I am sort of waiting to see what Tudor release this year, a Tudor Sub? If Omega were to release this in 38 to 40 mm I'd need to get it😨And between now and then I need to resist lots of other little gems I am tempted by, your bloody Madhacker is still on the table. My tiny brain can't cope 🤣@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR
Russell what a find!!! This model& the slightly earlier SHOM range by omega/ rattled Rolex to the core. Provocative advertising by Omega led to defamation case brought by Rolex in Zugg. Rolex won, but it was pretty much a line ball result! Ask a few older collectors/ jewellers.Hats off to B.Q watches for offering this much sought after gem of a watch
Since you mentioned every Swiss company were making their own royal oakish thing, AP and the royal oak were copying the GOAT in integrated bracelet watches, the Zenith Defy. ☝️🔥
It’s OK. An unusual one for sure. I think this is contributing to the price. You should try a SMP from the early years, they are quite different to the modern one which you dislike so much. I have a 2531.80 from 2006 which is slimmer and has a smaller case, good ones can be had for around £2500, and I think it could sway your opinion on the 300 SMP.
hmm, good idea! now i’m debating on having a vintage oysterdate hands swapped (and kept on side) for some new hands with lume so I can actually read it at night…
😮 Mind-blowing🤯 The integrated desk-diver of my dreams, do Omega-licious🤩... Wonder when the Chinese homage would be lunch?😂 I was wondering why Omega hasn't join the integrated-bracelet bandwagon? Does Swatch Group hasn't tested the waters enough (pun intended) with Tissot? Thank you for the video.
Cool watch -- integrated skin diver! But if I was in the market for an older Omega Seamaster (albeit not quite as vintage as this one), I'd spend half the money and get a Peter Blake 2254.50.00.
Shuuupeerrr....really like that bezel action. I am with you that the latest models just don't do it for me. If I had to pick one Omega, I really like the Omega 6B 542 RAF Pilots watch, proper vintage and beautiful in it's simplicity...reminds me of something else I saw on your channel recently, the mad hacker maybe....you are going to cost me again.......🙂

100% my friend ! Glad you had a top notch experience!!!
Damn!! That’s a beautiful watch!! So much to love! They would make millions if they reissued this one!
and lose the integrated bracelet
Well yeah and that too lol

The Railmaster is proper vintage too. Good choice.

Looks a bit like the Momentum Sea Quartz (famously worn by Magnum PI early in the series) as well.
Exactly what I thought too.
Only because of the orange hand.
Every time I watch one of Your videos I gotta listen to 'Trampoline' afterwards!.. catchy little hook in the intro!

Yep first thought that popped int my head
Have you tried on a 38mm aqua terra? I own a black one and absolutely love it. I actually sold my 124270 explorer because I wore the AT a lot more.
absolutely beautiful watch, as mentioned CWC Diver-ish. I can’t see why it wouldn’t be a very good seller. keep up the great work!

Beautiful! - that dial is close to a CWC 🧡j It's just that I prefer new watches. Cheers!
that 120 is fantastic, love it...... Click it...... CLICK IT !!!!!
Would look even better if the bezel insert was updated. Thanks for sharing it and have a great afternoon! 🙏🏼

Very nice watch Russell. I'd be very happy with the new dial, hands and crystal. And to be honest, I'd get the bracelet polished up too.

Nicest Seamaster out there, a legend to vintage collectors.A refurbed one is a absolute bargain.
I have having a bit of a laugh teasing about the Proplof yesterday. Little did I know I was closer to the mark than I could have guessed.
I'd be straight out with the metal polish and a rag on that bracelet. I love the way the links catch the light.
Keep it. It isn't the big triangle but it is a good enough reason to sell your CWCs

Gorgeous dial. Looked really good on your wrist! Go on, av it!

It’s got a…. Date window !!! Arrrrrghh !
I do love a date window - it’s a must have in all my watches. And on my .. omega conny!
Are you aware of the Timefactors baby dreadnought??
Hard to find but very similar. 👍👍

What a beauty 😍 Nice one mate.

Hahahahahaha only by a year my friend!!!!
very beautiful watch
a good pick … envy a lot 😅
