"It's like with animals in the wild - it's good to warn people with your clothes that your personality might be a bit much" 💜💃 I relate to this five million percent!!
I love dungarees, but my mum always says I'm "too old" for them. She hid my favorite one and when I moved out I found it tucked behind things in the closet!! Guess who practically lives in the dungaree now ;)
Leena you inspire me so much, I love how colourful and fun your fashion sense is!! It culminated recently when I was finally able to go to a concert, wearing a loudly clashing 2nd hand flowy green tulle dress and fuzzy cropped purple jumper. Honestly it slapped so hard it made me want to wear it occasionally on the daily - you've definitely normalised wearing fun outfits indoors for me. Thanks a million for the continued inspo
Lena!! You can't wear a topknot to the theatre! Think of the row behind you! That said you look fab, manifesting chances for you to wear all of this in the next year.
I really relate to the intense rationale for all your choices. I once bought a top and said to my then boyfriend 'I can see myself wearing this whilr moving house', he looked at me like I was barmy! My husband would have understood..
Re- the jacket: I'm sure you know this, and you've checked, but sometimes manufacturers tack pockets closed with large stitches when they're made so they don't sag and/or people don't stick their hands or other things in there.
Loved these outfits, Leena! You've definitely had a hand in inspiring me to dress more colorfully and have more fun with my clothes during lockdown/the pandemic! I would 1000% be your friend in any of these outfits!
Much love for all these outfits, Leena! Happy to confirm the dress would be GORGEOUS for a ceilidh, but definitely best worn with flats 😅 My partner and I are *hoping* for a covid secure ceilidh at our wedding as our band have organised ways of setting dances so you only dance in (the same) groups of six.
I always love your fashion content! I especially love the meeting the neighbours and theatre outfit (the blazer is just chef's kiss, although I probably would be to self conscious to wear it at this point)! Could you maybe do a video at some point on recommendations on going to the theatre? I just moved to London and I would love to go to the theatre more often, but I don't know where to go and what shows to pick. Anyway, thanks for no miserymas and happy holidays!
I actually feel like I’m ready to venture outside my clothing-comfort zone. I got some decent staples that are reliable but it’s time to spice it up and add more color. Excited to see what 2022 will look like :)
The pockets of the Flinstone blazer may be sewn shut (it used to be quite common to have the pockets and flaps on the back of a blazer tacked or sen closed to keep the garments in shape during transport). Have a little closer look, you may be able to unpick them and discover a secret pocket ☺️
ok but Leena now I’ve gotten so used to watching a new video from you every morning… I’m going to be so sad when this is over in two days! is it too much to ask that you continue posting daily videos just… forever? 😂 (kidding, but you’ve really spoiled us this month!)
oh so fun! I'm putting off scouring le depop for more interesting looks until after my top surgery (hopefully march, fingers crossed for me!!!) the ceilidh sounds like loads of fun, I will definitely look into this when it's safer to!
Someone who has never been to a ceilidh will be wondering what the hell - sports bra, no tights, no jewellery... Yup! They are wild! Leena, make sure to pair with closed toe shoes 😄
@@travelandlaughs9281 it's a Scottish barn dance, with traditional dancing to folk music. There's a lot of dancing in groups, switching partners in clever ways, like square dancing. Very common to have a ceilidh at Scottish weddings
eiiii i LOVE the yellow polkadot dress !! ive been looking for something similar for forever but ofc its hand-made!!! Theres gotta be more flouncy yellow dresses in the world that aren't mustardy and/or made for people 7 feet tall.
Love your 'what I want to wear' vids - feeling inspired to be out there (when Covid allows) in my Sunday best, or at least rifle through my wardrobe now and see what's going on in there these days!
I would totally be your friend in that, or any of these outfits! Me! Pick me!! 🤣🙌🏽🤩 you rocked it, well done, hope the outfit fit raised your set level of happy 🥰
The theatre fit is sooo good, it looks incredible on you! I hope you got around to wearing it by now :) Our fashion styles are very different, so I get really inspired by the way you style your pieces!
Finally my time to shine, I'm a ceilidh caller with ceilidh bands of 13 years experience! They are the least covid safe thing ever which is why I filed a £0 tax return for ceilidh work in 2020-2021 😩 there have been some this year, for the foolhardy... you'd get a bit warm in that but sports bra is a winner. Flat shoes is the key!
Tbf if you’re creative enough you can ceilidh in anything 😂 have definitely ceilidhed in much too high heels before...but you will get very hot and sweaty, you might trip on a too-long dress and your feet will hurt
Such good outfits, especially the yellow one! Is it me or does the neighbour jumpsuit have a tear in it, though? Could be perfect for some kind of cute visible mend.
Note of appreciation for the excellent captioning in all your videos Leena 👍🏻😊🙏🏻 ...and also the commitment to the bit of wearing that hat in every one 😅💜 Also u rock coloured lipstick so Well. An inspiration 😅🙂
I don’t even dare to use the words “hope” or “look forward” anymore 😂 you never know what’s going to happen but if that happens for you next year I’ll be very happy!
Just a little thank you comment from me because I tested positive for covid a few days ago and am subsequently stuck inside until Christmas :( Tomorrow is my birthday so honestly I could be thriving more, but these videos are one thing that reminds me that time is still passing and all is not lost.
very 'everyday' situations you picked outfits for haha, wonderful Leena. And I am positively in love with your third outfit! But all of them are pretty cool tbh
Feeling the moving in a pandemic woes. We moved at the end of 2020 to a little cul de sac in a village and I have spent the whole of 2021 desperately wanting to be neighbour friends with everyone but also not being able to go near people. We did get cards from most of the neighbours this year though, I’m counting that as an at least partial success.
A lot of blazers have the pockets stitched shut when they are first sold. I’ve found a ton of secondhand blazers with them still stitched close because people don’t realize that. Pop a couple of the stitches and you might have a pocket.
You are on point about going out with friends. When I did that I loved the time before going out more, because it was so fun and lovely to hang out and do friends makeup, laugh and listen to great music :-D
@@leenanorms yes absolutely! But I’m 5’1” so I’d still probably end up sitting on my feet lol… but forgive my USA ignorance why did you use imperial units? Do British folks just not use the metric system for height (unless you are using the metric system in which case I’m not sure it would matter how you did your hair 😆)
Ah! I remembered something I wanted to tell you about tights as you mentioned maternity-type dress! You should try maternity tights! I'm not pregnant and never been pregnant, but I always go for tights from maternity department in our stores and those are SO COMFY! You should definitely try them :)

Yes, exacly what I needed today, cheers!
Thanks!
The first outfit has Beanie Feldstein vibes! So cute ❤️
I love how much Helena your wardrobe has retained.
Yeah I thought that? You can actually see the difference the experiment made and I'm not mad about it 😂
Tbf Leena, you have mad HBC vibes anyway so this just feels like a natural progression 😉
The first outfit is giving me a Hufflepuff at a cozy house for Christmas Day vibes! Very fitting as I feel Leena radiates Hufflepuff energy. 💛🖤

Can somebody please tell me what a Kayleigh is? 😅
Ceilidhs are a barn dance, usually set to various Scottish, Irish, other British, or American traditional music. And they're fantastic fun!

Love the celidh dress, Leena! That color's GORGEOUS on you!

@Ruth Jenkins oh thank you! I just found out I am Scottish, and am learning about my own heritage so what a coincidence!
Loved the dungarees outfit! & I'm hoping to have a ceilidh at my wedding next year, fingers crossed I can live that fantasy! 🤞

I love this concept so much, and that theatre look is absolute outfit goals to the point where it's making me consider orange lipstick for myself 😍
Loved the Steve Jobs ate an art teacher description. You have the best one liners 😅!
I would totally be your friend in that, or any of these outfits! Me! Pick me!! 🤣🙌🏽🤩 you rocked it, well done, hope the outfit fit raised your set level of happy 🥰
my goodness, I love the meet the neighbours look! perfect perfect perfect
"Feeling kind of Steve Jobs are an Art Teacher" 😂😂🤣
The theatre fit is sooo good, it looks incredible on you! I hope you got around to wearing it by now :)
Our fashion styles are very different, so I get really inspired by the way you style your pieces!
I like snag tights except I always get holes in the toes of them, always. It doesn't happen me with any other tights, I can't figure it out.
Loved this! You are so bold with colours and patterns, I can learn a lot from you 💜
I wish ren faires were a thing in the UK! Because that orange dress would look AMAZING at one of those!! Also your theatre outfit is vibes.

I love all of these outfits! Especially the vibe of the 'meet the neighbors '. Comfy, casual with personality. *chefs kiss*
Is a ceilidh like a folk dinner party sort of thing?
I love your videos about clothing!

Thanks for cheering me up lovely leena

Yes, I would want to be your friend because of your appealing personality nomatter what "meeting the neighbours" outfit you wear.🙂
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Five stars for outfit no.1 please wear this to an actual house party when thats a thing again

Please tell me what a kailey is. I've never heard that term and I can't look it up, because google keeps giving me the meaning of the girl's name.
Its spelled like ceilidh! They’re big gatherings and traditionally there’s dancing to Gaelic music. They’re so much fun!
@@nithyajoanna2034 Cool! Thanks so much!
I like how all these outfits double as a fancy dress costume Bumble bee/Ribena/Robin/Carrot
Ooh the Ceilidh dress is gorgeous!
I think I mostly did manage to stay un-miserable for the duration of this video. Thank you.
I need the yellow dress. I mean *ahem* (excuse me) I NEED it!!
Commenting here but i want to say i feel so inspired! And the helenacore video was also amazing for me to remix and rethink my outfits!

Leena lowkey channeling grandma yetta with the 5:10 outfit
Now i am really tempted to assemble such outfits and bother my husband with a fashion show 👀
The theater blazer is giving me massive welcome to the crystal maze vibes
That second outfit is the most *amazing* thing 😍 👌🏻
This is the single most Enneagram 7 thing I've ever seen and it makes me so happy.
just learnt cellidhs were a thing. that so cool

Does it help if I'm already 5"2 short AND have a very short body AND slouch like an ape all the time anyway?
