Good morning from America, Caleb! This is one of my most favorite songs of all time. Yes, I like the arrangement, her Dynamics and emotion. What an amazing story. Another Tip Top reaction my brother.👍👍👍

all of her performances blow me away. she is no ordinary singer. Her arrangements are very carefully worked out, by her, and reinvent old songs in ways you wouldn't expect. In 2018 she did her arrangement of You Raise Me Up. And I can bet you will never see it done like that again. And if you ever watch it...take notice of her totally amazing legato in the early part of the song.
For your next So Hyang reaction, I highly recommend her performance of Everyone. She has said that it was the most difficult performance to prepare for. The song itself is an old pop song which is essentially a gospel song in disguise. The English verse she sings is not part of the original version, but was added later by the singer. While I point out that it's a technically difficult piece, that's not the real draw of her performance. It's the emotion. You can really tell she connects with the song in much the same way she connects with Bridge Over Troubled Water. Not enough people react to that one, but it's in my opinion her most brilliant performance.
Bridge over deep water was a line in a gospel song that Paul Simon was listening to back '69. The original went something like; _"I'll be a Bridge over deep water if you trust in My Name"._ He took the line and it became _"Like a bridge over troubled water"._ Yea, it's a metaphor for the Lord who is there _'when you're weary, feeling small. When tears are in your eyes, He will dry them all'_ if one place trust in His Name.
Great as always from Sohyang :). Love the way she rearranges the Music.
Also Dimash did a really beautiful performance last night it's on his channel, really interesting traditional instruments, even able to mimic kind of a wolf howl and then kind of whimpers etc it's fascinating and another gorgeous vocal performance it was beautiful. I think you'll enjoy it!

Also, in the beginning, that one note that was right before the power kicked in, where it was light, soft, and she made it quieter with her CONTROL, and did not move the mic away like most would have to do. She is a Master Vocalist.

Wow, that's a phenomenal reaction video for this performance! Sorry you have to do acrobatics with the sound editing to the video to deal with copyright police but I truly appreciate your commentary. Listening to this performance by Sohyang, to me, is almost a religious experience, notwithstanding the stain glass and cathedral-like background. Her singing is connected to my personal experience in a way I don't get from other singers very often. Love the characterization of her vocal technique as transparent. So well stated. Also enjoyed your observation on how she places her voice forward and backward to achieve the effect she wants in this performance. Thank you very much. Caleb, hi from Northern Ireland. Very much appreciate your reactions but am at a loss as to why you had trouble with this download as I've seen many other reactors to this and some unlike you just watch the vid without offering any valuable comment and they don't seem to have any trouble. All the same I've watched you through Arirang and Everyone and you have offered some useful info for listening. Also am happy you seem to be high on Sohyang. Only discovered her myself this year and she's like a drug. Just have to have a daily fix. Have a look at her singing You raise me up, Lean on me, then look at some of the stuff she produced this year on a show called Beginagain Korea which includes a version of I will always love you. Also, she is a christian and that song is more of a religious song than from her experiences. It is that hope of GOD that will be with you when you are in those troubled waters. You will see that every song she sings, she tells a story with it like no other singer I know of. That is my interpretation anyway.

great analysis, in contrast to some pino haters, SoHyang through her polished vocal skills can concentrate on the message she wants to convey and the emotions of the song. It is most noticeable in the Masked Singer peformances, you should definetely react to those next.

Sorry, you are having so much trouble with this being blocked, it's such a shame to have to distort the audio on such a beautiful performance. :/ I thought KBS was okay if you paused a few times. It's probably RUclips auto bot. Have you tried using Vimeo instead of RUclips for the clip?
Sometimes KBS does block. MBC is the one that block quite often and occasionally gives a strike :(

Very little new original good songs lately....just an observation.
Sohyang focus is more on her novels I think. We only hear new OSTs when she is requested. Most of us are hoping that she joins Immortal Song 2 again, and give us a new masterpiece.

I couldn't upload this video because the audio triggered an automatic block on RUclips. However there were people asking me to warp the audio and upload it anyway. As a result I decided to upload it with the audio warping rather than no video at all.
