I have learned to not call So Hyang just a singer. In my opinion, she is the best female vocalist on the planet. Its not just the song, but her technique, which is always perfect. The things she does that no other singers can do. There is even a rap song she did, if someone can find a version that has not been blocked. She does not rap for real, but she rap/sings, meaning a different note for every syllable, and to do it so fast and still hit those notes so perfect at that speed is unreal.
I have 3 videos for you to watch at your leisure, but i know once you start, you will not want to stop. They are interviews about her life, and someone took the time to add English sub titles, and there is video of her in her home, and her family. You will see just how humble and down to earth she really is. It is in 3 videos, so here they are, and enjoy... Oh, and the man sitting to her left in these videos, which she calls DAD, is her father-in-law. She is even closer to her mother-in-law than she is her own mother. That was the best 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' I've ever heard by far.
It transforms a well known pop tune into a truly moving and inspiring gospel.
She's absolutely a great artist and a wonderful human being.

Being blown away by So Hyang is nothing new...Michael Bolton was blown away (Lean on Me), Shane Filan of Westlife (You Raise Me Up, 2018 version), Kirk Franklin too, even BTS was blown away by her (Wind Song..OST of the series Go Back Couple) and just lately, David Foster....being at awe with So Hyang is natural...now if you really want to just feel her emotions and heart, watch her I CAN ONLY IMAGINE music video...you will experience listening to an angel.
Opera legend Sumi jo was blown by her too! She not only colab with Sohyang but credit her saying "Learned many thing from this amazing lady!" She also said her version of "Arirang Alone is unbelievable."

Being known worlwide, having sold hundreds of thousand albums, getting an award left and right, getting a million views in youtube/vimeo does not define one as a GOOD SINGER...take the case of So Hyang, she is a nobody, she does not have recording contract, very few people know her...but every musical experts are asking "why isn't she known?"...many will disagree but she is one of the finest technical singer worldwide, she maybe is not known, but that doesn't mean she is not good. Being unknown was her choice and i respect that. She said this: "...I WANT TO SHARE MY MUSIC, NOT SELL IT...So Hyang."

Hi Andy, I have a suggestion. When someone chance upon Sohyang somewhere and the found your channel, they will watch your reaction of only Sohyang. They won't know there are other amazing artists. My suggestion is, to briefly mention that there are some amazing singers in your channel like so and so. That might pique some viewers interests to try watching your reaction to other artists.
By the way, if you are reacting to videos of her in a mask, I suggest that you do what you are doing now ie. pause, comment and rewind several times throughout your reaction. King of Mask Singer tend to have copyright issue. However in recent weeks, I have watched a few reactors reacting to it without pausing. Maybe they are more lax these days. Just be careful. My all time fave is Dear Love. Wailing, cries of sadness and heart wrenching pain are in this song.

I know you aready have a long list to get through but you compared her to celine dion so you may want to watch her version of 'the power of love' & if you want to see how she does when compared to another legend,whitney houston, then please watch her performance of 'i have nothing' at the DMC festival. In my opinion so hyang's versions are better in both instances,it would be interesting to see what you think

Before your first reaction to Sohyang, have you in your wildest dream think that live performances can be as exciting, if not more so than kpop MV.
I didn't. I was watching Blackpink everyday until I stumble upon Sohyang. And now, it is just Sohyang. Lolz.
The thing about Sohyang is that she is able to project her voice into your soul and not just your ear. You could hear her power, resonance and emotions. When she hits a very high note and with the flow of the song, you think that there should be an even higher yet impossible note to hit, she will hit that note with power and hit your soul with it at the same time, sending chills down your spine and in awe.
Now that you are in this world, good luck to your reaction of Dimash and Hua Chenyu. I won't be following you on those.

For me I think I would choose Morisette Amon for pole position for Disney Princess. Check out her rendition of “Never Enough” on the Wish Bus. I love So Hyang also so it’s more a personal preference than anything else.
