it was beautiful how, when Jake and Neytiri were both totally consumed with rage and felt like they were done with everything due to the loss they'd suffered, it was their kids that saved them. both kiri and lo'ak had been filled with self-doubt and insecurity their whole lives, but the culmination of the film is the two of them conquering that self-doubt and insecurity to rescue their parents. this is why trends can change, culture can change, sensibilities can come and go, but James Cameron's stories remain evergreen and timeless.

This scene and song made the whole movie for me. it was truly magical and beautiful. how the yellow fish contrast the darkness in the ocean, how the children help guide their parents when it is usually the parents always saving them throughout the movie, how jake finally trusts and sees Lo'ak for who he is, how Kiri is only beginning to learn her powers, the idea of family and that sullys stick together. It really is the most beautiful scene in the whole movie. this song truly hits every note and emotion perfectly. can't wait to see this franchise continue to evolve.

I love that one part of this scene has Kiri tapping into her near-godlike, messianic powers while looking like an angel in order to rescue Tuk and Neytiri, and the other part is Loak simply reciting the way of water and teaching Jake everything he's learned from Tsireya, the one person who always believed in him, in order to save his dad. One part is incredibly grand and otherworldly, with implications for the rest of the series, whereas the other is an incredibly simple, quaint, and touching moment of a son supporting his father.

What I loved about this film is how this ending reminded me of Terminator 2, in T2 you had a vehicle chase action scene, followed by an on-foot chase scene through a steel factory, then capped off with an emotional goodbye scene for the T-800 as he was lowered into the molten steel. Avatar 2 had the action scene with the vehicle combat, followed by the on-foot action scene on the large sinking boat, then followed by this emotional scene as the family reunited to escape. I really, REALLY love both films for having somewhat of the same cinematic flow.
James Cameron knows how to make a great sequel film.

The way of water has no beginning and no end.
Our hearts beat in the womb of the world.
The sea is your home, before your birth and after your death.
The sea gives and the sea takes.
Water connects all things: life to death, darkness to light

When we look into the deep internal layers of indigious conflit resolution (For example the great law of peace ) ,, in refection to the root issues of our own very real world history .. Avatar's symbolic layers have much deeper sources then many think. asking why we act the way we do ..
