We all know the words "I love you"... and know their meaning. Have said them or had them said back to a person who means something to us. The words "I see you" probably mean the same thing at first glance - but in my opinion have a much deeper character.
I can see a person who means a lot to me when his mouth smiles - but his eyes do not. I see whether he really feels the way I was told or not. Whether there is something on his mind that hurts him. Even if he tries not to let this show.
I see much more than his face - I see his whole being.🙏
In my opinion, the words "I love you" cannot even depict, cannot capture the profound essence of the words "I see you". To say that I see you, my darling is a very elegant way of appreciation towards a dear person. Which, as already mentioned, one is not even aware of at first glance.
What does this have to do with the soundtrack?
I don't know.
But music that touches us is a way to the human soul.
A serotonin [= messenger substance that releases happiness hormones...] to listen to... 🤗🎶💝

I agree totally. You expressed this very eloquently. I have always thought that the person who thought up the "I see you" phrase is a genius because it has more depth and describes a much more wholesome feeling than I love you.
My two favorite scenes where it was used in the two movies was one; in the final battle scenes of Avatar 1 when Ney'tiri gave human Jake his oxygen mask so he can breathe again and then he told her "I see u" and she replied the same with tears because she can finally see his human form and it doesn't matter because she loves and accepts him as he is cause their heart has truly become one.
Another touching scene was in the Avatar: way of water final scenes when for the first time Jake saw that his son Lo'ak was telling the truth about the Tulum and it even came to save their life, so he said I see u to his son and Lo'ak cried happy tears because he felt for the first time his father finally understood and accepted him. In this two instances when this phrase was used, it was so beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. It was more heartfelt than saying I love u, because it means the person sees u with their heart and no longer with their eyes. The Avatar movie is a beautiful movie in it's entirety. It seems too astral for our World.

Yes.. When we tell someone that we love him/her, we are actually using a metaphor to express our affection....
Since love as such describes a feeling and it is difficult to summarize feelings in one word. Of course, you can also say; _"I have very big feelings for you, darling!"_ - sounds however somehow strange...🤔💝😅
Is like with the concept of peace; peace is also a metaphor; so that means there is no physical place where we find peace.... Peace is everywhere, where I am or intend to be. Peace cannot be made either - Peaceful can only be.
In short, when I tell the one I love that I see him/her, I don't have to use a metaphor of my feelings to value an important person, but am somehow closer to the person - which is not to say that "I love you" is no longer needed to be said....🤗
And yes; it was amazingly the scene you mentioned in the first part of Avatar where I really became aware of that and started to think about it deeply.... I mean; we're talking about a movie here - but this detail is so much more..🙏🤗💝
This is one of the realest statements I've read in a while, to me "I see you" means a lot more to me than "I love you"

In retrospect, a small dilemma became apparent regarding my assessment of the words “I see you”, which I only really realized now.😳
You can get the impression that the kind words _“I love you”_ express less appreciation than _“I see you”._
I think it would be wrong to overestimate the exact choice of words, yes; when ultimately a person is expressing that he (or she..) is expressing heartfelt feelings.
_It is also interesting to note that our vocabulary has always only been able to fully express a person's emotional world to a certain extent. A spoken or written word is the natural embodiment of a thought, but not the feeling itself._
How helpful and beautiful it is to see someone, to tell them how we feel and to give them a hug - isn't it?
Every language, whether animal or human, only works because the correct arrangement of certain sounds or signs have a fixed meaning that the sender and receiver of this information know exactly and can therefore understand.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that my dog understands the grammar of my words exactly, but he will understand or have understood very well that I love him very much.
I could fall in love with a lady on vacation; she might not understand any of my words exactly, but she still feels what I am trying to express and vice versa.🤗
