Great card ideas. I love the idea of using the patterns for your scrap placement. I’ve always done it randomly but this gives so many more possibilities. I really like the extra step of embossing the panel. Patti
A Soul's Heartbeat Thanks Patti! Glad I could give you some inspiration! I’m not that great at doing things “randomly” so a somewhat structured pattern helps when I create these type of backgrounds. Hope it helps you too.TFW!
I really liked all your “quilted” cards but I wished I’d started making them long ago. I certainly have a big enough stash of scraps. I’m sure the Anna Griffin ones will come together beautifully, just like yours. While it seems like such a small thing, no pun intended, that teeny tiny pink bow you placed on that button on your “hi” card was completely adorable. Completely! Thanks for sharing!
Great video. I've recently seen how to make a 4" 1/4" square into an A2 size card. Just cut a 5 1/2". X. 4 3/16" of card stock and it can be glued inside the square card. Works great.
Absolutely adorable cards!! The papers you chose along with all the extra things you added - wow, you are so creative and talented!! Love to watch your channel you are such an inspiration! I need to go through my scraps now!! Thank you for sharing your awesome cards!!!
molly Satinado Aww, Thank you so much Molly for your sweet comment! I’m thrilled that I inspire you! You should definitely give these cards a try! TFW!
Hey Twinsie! Your quilted cards turned out beautiful! Love this idea! You have some pretty scraps! Love the stitched die and background embossing! The little buttons with bows and gems tie them all together! Great tutorial sweetie! Tfs Big hugs, Christine 😘
shabbypinkhouse Thanks Twinsie!! I love this technique too! Idk why it took me so long to try it! I had to keep my cards clean & simple to showcase the quilt patterns which was so hard for me to do! Lol 😂 Glad you like the cards I created! Big Hugs & TFW! 😘
Great video chica, your cards came out beautiful I will totally be giving this a try . Great job editing and your voice over was perfect I appreciate the time you took to do that. Miss you chica
Thanks Chica! Schwoo Girl, it took me nearly 2 hours just to do the voice over & about an hour to write the script!! I mess up way to much if I just try to “wing it”. Anywho, it all came together in the end & it’s up. 😂 Miss you too! We definitely need to get together soon especially cos your birthday is coming up! 😉😘 Big Hugs & TFW!
Pookie, now you know I'm going to try this. Your cards are so beautiful. I've never tried the quilted technique and I like that you didn't even use a die. I like at the end where you showed your finished cards you added touch of the velum and you stamped and heat embossed your sentiment greeting. The simple touch of the gems and the buttons with the twine brought it all together. Like I always say, you're a beast at the table. One that I truly admire. Love you💓💓💓💓 ~Pookie Kre
Fun KREations Hi Pookie Kre! 😉 You definitely better give these a try! They’re so much fun! & once you cut all your strips, they come together so quickly which I love since it takes me forever & a day to create anything especially cards! Thanks for your kind, sweet, & encouraging words as usual. 😊 You always brighten my day! 😘 TFW!
I love patchwork designs. These are beautiful color & print choices. The stitching dies & embossing folders is a great idea to achieve the quilted look.
Awww thank you so much! I’m happy that my instructions are easy to follow! These cards are so simple yet are still some of my favorite to make! Have fun creating them yourself with all your scraps! TFW & have a beautiful week!
Stumbled across your video. These look so fun to make. On the first card, you said the square was one inch. Were the strips 1\2 inch? It looked like it. Thanks for sharing!
Awww, thanks so much for subscribing! I truly appreciate you & welcome to my channel! I hope you love the content that I showcase on my channel & you find value in my videos! Thanks again & I hope you’re having a wonderful week! Big Hugs!
AGrinDesigns Thank you & you are so very welcome! I struggle with keeping my cards clean & simple but the background were so beautiful, I couldn’t cover them up! Hope you use up your scraps to create some quilt cards too! TFW!
I use my strips similarly too but somehow yours is more elegant . Probably because it’s not sloppy and the paper is lively and delicate . I’m going to actually try to be more precise next time I do this , and be more creative with the patterns
Gayle Mora Hi Gayle! Thank you! I know these were the rage years ago but as usual, I’m late to the party! This was the 1st time I created quilt cards. I think I’ll keep doing them! Lol. TFW!
Thank you for this inspiration. Even though I probably won't get chance to use all my craft items in this lifetime I still get a Thrill when I can use Scraps, I don't like waste. At least my unused items can be passed on to someone with little income 😊
I really like these cards. I started quilting with fabric recently And I've done a few cards myself. Not as intricate as hese, but you're right, they do look like they would go together quickly.
Such pretty cards! Loving how the papers compliment each other too. It's great to be able to use leftover scraps, isn't it? I've just uploaded a few Fathers Day cards to my channel, where I used my paper scraps too. So glad I was able to use some up :) Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you so much! Yes, it definitely feels better to use up my scraps rather than cut into more patterned paper (especially my precious Tilda papers!). I’m glad you were able to make some cards using your scraps too! TFW!
@@MimiJocelynDesigns I totally get that :) I used to use Magnolia stamps for many years & still have lots of their paper leftover that I haven't even used yet. The paper is so pretty therefore, I guess I'm waiting for the perfect project for them. I'm creating interactive cards throughout the month of June for my YT channel so maybe I can incorporate those papers into those projects :)
Hi Debbie! Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. The glue gun I’m using is the Surebonder Mini Fine Tip Hot Glue Gun (Specialty Series H-195F). Hope that helps! TFW!
Oh my gosh, the music in the background was giving me a major panic attack. Not soothing at all. But the cards are GORGEOUS!!! I turned the sound off and just watched the creative process. That brought the zen back! LOL Thank you for sharing this technique!!!
Thank you for showing your finished product first before the activity.
Love this technique, I've been looking for this simple direction, not very long not a lot of extra talking. Thank you
