While this is definitely very sad and our sympathies go out to the victims and their families, the glaring question, and the glaring double standard of reaction to loss of life is astounding. They're saying this is a attack upon all New Yorkers. But what about the attack upon black people in this country?. Our people are being killed by these people everyday, but yet the whole world is supposed to stop when two of them gets killed. Life is Life, and every one of us came from the womb of a mother. This illustrates the glaring attitude of Us and them mindset. The whole department has to come out to salute the body of these people, but when a black person is shot down like an animal in the streets they immediately start lying about the victim and the events that took place. They even blame the victims for their own deaths. So while this is very sad, I find it very very difficult to feel the sympathy that I would like to feel. The sympathy that should be natural. Because when they shoot us there is no sympathy there's just lies and more shooting and killing. They need to get rid of qualified immunity because no life is more valuable than another life. All life is precious, and should be respected. Just because you put on a uniform and a badge does not make your life more valuable than another human beings life. Everybody needs to disarm. The police and the citizen. There should be no place in the society for weapons that take life from human beings. And lastly I'll just say, that people with badges and guns who have not been to law school should not be on the streets with badges and guns.
