It was painful to see Erick Garner family suffer for all these years while the police who murdered him walk free

@franklinarmstrong999 I agree with you also. Let’s work on policy reform for police and black on black crime. As a Dallas officer I see more of the latter than police brutality. But no one wants to speak up about us killing ourselves. It hurts me every day I work I see this.

- I'm perplexed by this also. I never lived in NYC but I drove all around through there and knew the really bad areas. East New York & Brownsville in Brooklyn is not a place to do a car deal for $25,000 cash! SUNY Downstate Medical Center was one of my stops along the way out to Jaimaica, Queens where the air cargo freight fowarders are and then JFK airport. There were two black guys at SUNY who would always jokingly mistake me for "someone they knew" in Brownsville. I would laugh and say you must have me mixed up with someone else. They seemed to be amused with this bs small talk. Did they really think I had no idea about the neighborhood or were they implying in their view that I look like any others of my race (white)? I don't know but it was the same damned thing every week with same wrong name.
I sold a boat in the parking lot of a police station after asking them if I could. They encouraged me to do so and even told me to call them when I got there. It was only $2000. Why this cop didn't have environmental awareness is puzzling. Maybe being a cop and armed he felt safe but it happens so quick. He looks like he's from Syria. RIP Adeed 😪

In reality, the unfortunate death of the officer had nothing to do with his being a police officer.
Anyone whose innocent family members, friends killed in robberies, get caught in crossfire between gangs, fights, etc., deserve the same recognition and respect.
It's not the nypd's fault that when one of their officers died they make sure that people know about it and that that officer is honored. The only blame for lack of awareness for non police victims is on the people themselves. When a police officer kills a black person the streets are flooded with protests and disdain why aren't the streets being flooded when gangsters and thugs killed innocent people? That's on us the NY PD is doing its job for its members we should be ashamed as a community that we don't do all job for community members
