I mean arent all cars aimed at all kinds of people? No matter race, religion, gender, age, etc. I dont think that those are issues that car companies need to tackle to get a new car through the doors.
the 'crossover' was invented for women. soccer moms in particular so that they could look strong and dominant as they dropped the children to school and stopped at the organic grocery store on the way back. men never asked for this weird mish-mash. these neither do a great job on road, nor off road. back in the day, we had specific designs aimed for on road, and suvs for off road and towing applications.

Indeed. Ian Callum, the award winning designer for both Aston Martin and Jaguar was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2019 Birthday Honours for services to the British car industry. The F-Pace also won car of the year in 2017.

The Bentayga is quite possibly the ugliest vehicle on sale today (except the SsangYong range, of course).

My mum is looking to buy a fairly upmarket SUV and has sort of narrowed it down to this and the Range Rover evoque dose anybody have any idea which one is best?
I thought the quality of the interior plastics was a disgrace for a "premium" vehicle.
Mat leaving was a massive loss for carbuyer, almost Clarkson leaving top gear esque. But unlike Top Gear, I don't hate the new format, they don't try to replace Mat, they're trying something different and it works. Bravo carbuyer, keep it up.

Do you understand the car classes? They aren't about what's better, they are defined classes based on size and expense. For example with BMWs range, the 1 series is C segment, 3 series is D segment, 5 series is E segment. It doesn't matter is you think a 3 series is better than a 5 series, it's in the class above. Classes are more complicated with SUVs but it's the same concept.

The exterior looks nice. Elegant, strong stance and proportions, but I said goddamn that interior is BEYOND BORING. All of the red leather and accent stitching in the world wouldn't save it.
This car is so dirty. The dash board looks like it has a months worth of dust on it. How can we take this seriously when you couldn't even bother to wipe the thing out before you filmed the review.

I took one out the other day, 2ltr r-sport and I was shocked how bad the suspension was. It was so bad I cut the test drive short and left. I was so disappointed as I had high hopes for the car but I could not see driving over long distance, it found holes in the smoothest of roads. Needs to ride more like aJag less like a BMW

This review is ridiculous, suggesting that it was designed with women in mind is idiotic and offensive. Not to mention an insult to the teams that developed the car. If carbuyer were to go on about how a certain car was designed for men in mind it would be accused of sexism. I honestly believe that Jaguar should take immediate action in demanding that carbuyer take down this video as it is promoting the wrong image for the car as they have already had that problem with the evoque. Meanwhile I'll wait for matts review over on carwow

ffs, just go away. We know it is not owned by the British, but they are made here in the UK. The British do not own anything of any consequence anymore, we all know this because the Brits love to sell everything off for a pittance to foreigners who then make a proper corporation out of it. Like JLR, even though I loathe JLR products, it is a successful corporation now, because it is not owned by the awful business people of the UK. Same applies to Rolls-Royce Motors, Benltey, etc, etc. British lost their minds.
Owned by TATA who are the Indian company Ford sold it too and also who own our UK Steel plants that want to F our workers over by selling them or shutting them down.
Previously to TATA, Jaguar was owned by Ford Motors, hence the many Ford components, such as that lack luster touchscreen sat nav system that I swear is straight out of Ford, just slightly different shape.
Does this clarify and put to bed who owns JLR Group?.

Well I am just truly blunt about all cars.
I wish I could go and do these jobs of reviewing online, because it would just be an honest opinion, on all cars, not just Jaguar.
But I have a better job anyway. Would be nice to do for fun though.
But on a serious note, I have argued my case more specifically recently about the Jaguar XE's supposed takeover from the BMW 3-Series.
This is just complete bunkum and baloney. It baffles me why these type of reviews online seem to think that the XE is anyway shape and form in a position to really compete properly with the 3-Series.
The only thing that I think where the XE scores a little higher on the XE over the 3-Series is that the XE genuinely handles that little bit better. But as I have said, that is where the points over the 3-Series stops.
This F-Pace, when I first sore the originals on this car years ago, I thought it looked like a really nice motor that could be in my eyes an X5 beater. Well it turns out as far as I am concerned a big fat NO. I mean look at it. Look at it's lines on the back, it has a fat arse and just looks as bulky as any other SUV.
Just because they will be doing a 5.0V8 does not ultimately make it an X5 or Macan, etc, etc beater.
People will buy this monstrosity though, because they think it is the "in" vehicle to buy, like Range Rover.
I think JLR and British cars in general other than Bentley and Rolls-Royce of course, have a long way to go to be as good as German vehicles. That is mine and many other peoples opinions I think.
Finally to have another dig at JLR, what is it with their idea and take on the M-Sport Adaptive Suspension, which JLR name Dynamic, lol. I am sorry but it is a complete joke. You switch your Range Rover or your XE or whatever JLR you have into Dynamic mode and wow, you have a red background on your dash, and?. Not a lot else happens.
It is their take on the BMW Adaptive Suspension that is no way near a match.
Nice try, but only 5/10 JLR.

It looks amazing, and I think demonstrates good design, but the interior seems a let down, and for the price I’d expect a iPad sized screen that like android uses fragments and has a good user interface and hci design, as well as breakdown features even Vauxhall offers now...
But I must say, if I had the funds and had the option of the Jaguar, the Land-rover and Ford Edge, I’d take the Jaguar for looks and comfort. And then can go off road...however the watch out for the Kia Sorento!
