I really like and appreciate your content and the way you go about doing your business. Thoughts on low ballers: don't take it personally. Some people just want to negotiate. Have a simple, respectful reply for them that explains why your prices can't be lower. Period. Some will get it and pay your price. If your response is defensive, you'll convert none of them. Really big agree with you about the really cheap ones. Just take a respectful pass.
Also love your point about driving them to the site first. All my ads drive folks to my site where they can see prices and pictures, then the phone/text and email is on every page right at the top.
I literally get no push back on price at all. Most of the calls I get are just calling to schedule and don't even ask about the price. This is a huge time saver for me as I never spend time on the phone with people who expect a low price.
Keep sharing great stuff. Greatly appreciated.

Great video mate! Very informative. I find the Best way to improve productivity is to record yourself and you'll see a lot of bad time habits you have and from there you can improve.
Ohh I took a lowball customer one time and it was an absolute nightmare. Car was a bigger job than first described and the customer literally stood over me the whole time even though I completely over delivered on the service. Never again! Haha

Yesterday I told my friend that my problem has been how much to charge my friends. He said, if you don't sleep with them you should not give a discount. Boom!
I use the Sandia 3 gallon extractors and they work great. Cheap Harbor frieght steamer will get the job done. Cheap Harbor frieght drill with a drill brush will get the job done. Make sure to have plenty of Super Clean and I like using Mr. pink car wash soap.

@@silvinodino Now that I'm older and wiser I have learned that the business/marketing side of your company should never be neglected. You've got to be putting as much into that as much as the physical part. I undercharged a lot of people and my clients were wealthy ( most in show business) and they would have been happy to pay double what I charged.

I have 2 detailers in my area. One stationary/mobile and one stationary. Both have signs on their buildings and on their Vans. Both detailers signs, due to the font, are so difficult to read that one would never know what their business is. I suggest NEVER use cursive or handwritten fonts to advertise your business that look like they came off a Grateful Dead album. Not that I dont like the Dead, I love their music

Time yourself at each step too. By doing this, I found I was taking way too long setting up for each "phase". So im setting up more outlets and getting longer hoses so i dont have to move the vac or washer etc. Also you can use a wash mitt and clay mitt at the same time after snow foam cause its plenty of lubrication, that can save you 2 phases.

With that being said thanks Oscar now I know I did the right thing! He’s a hotdog buyer not a steak buyer!

I’m a computer guy by trade so I LOVE crunching the numbers. When I did my first detail I timed EVERYTHING. Measured all of the chemicals I used. Seriously, I took a spray bottle and put it on a food scale, 628g. Then at the end I weighed it again, 412g. So I used X grams and it took Y minutes and they paid me Z dollars. 🤷🏻‍♂️

To the new detailers, set your prices so you may have wiggle room. Once you get to that point where your steadily working, stop that stuff. Or at very least offer small discounts based on multiple services needed for that client. I for one did not bend on price, even when I started on Craigslist. I would just reaffirm my work will reflect that price. Usually book with confidence alone and help them understand what they’re getting

Never accept less then you quote. I guarantee you that customer will NEVER be happy no matter what you do. Its a customer personality trait that you must run from immediately as they do not value your services before even starting the job. I guarantee you'll be much happier in the long run. If you do accept less, you just told that customer you don't even value what you do, so why should they?
