- Today we're painting on RANDOM things I found at MICHAELS... AGAIN! This is part of a series where I go to stores and buy random things to paint! Because I bought so much at Michaels, this is a two-part video! To watch previous episodes in this series, scroll down to the bottom of the video description! Anyway, let's bust out the paints, posca pens, hot glue, glitter, and MORE! This is going to get WILD and FESTIVE!

Something about the way glue guns squeak like that just makes me happy
Mine doesn't do that and I miss that... 😉
You should put the battery operated tea lights behind the 3 little houses so it makes it look like the lights are on. You could also do yellow felt or construction paper on the tags for the same effect. That would be sooo cute!

The gingerbread house is definitely the cutest and my favorite for sure.

The gingerbread house is my favorite! It's so cute! You can never have enough glitter!
Love them all! The gingerbread house would have taken much longer than 3 hours if it was a real one made with cookies and icing, if made from scratch and not a pre-packaged kit. For your ceramic gingerbread house, if you don't normally, you should sign and date the bottom so that your kids can know when it was done, and should it survive that long, your grandchildren could know who and when etc.

the spray bottle tip was so helpful. I'm newer to the painting world and had no idea that you can spray the paint to keep it from drying. gingerbread house all the way
Oh and the little "tags"?? I FEEL like.. they could be ornaments too 😍😍 Like if you make a little silent night themed city? On a small tree or a wreath 😍🥰 Ohh see I'm getting g all kinds of ideas!! 😍🤩
Use led lights, glue white paper to the back. Use a wooden wreath back. Glue each little house on, & you could either put something in the center.. or find cute wood letters to add "silent night" or Merry Christmas.. or what have you! Love it all 😁😍

LOL 6:21 I use empty cologne bottles for my water spray misters. Has a nice fine mist to wet my paints.
Those little house are so cute! The snowy glittery roofs are the perfect touch. The gingerbread house (my fav) is outstanding! Glitter makes me think of happy moments of childhood 😊

Everything about this video was so much fun! I normally wouldn’t think of the house motif as something I would do, but all of those were so cute, perfect and can be very versatile, I see myself picking up all of these
That gingerbread house - I love the color scheme. The yellow was so perfect to go with the glowing lights and candy look. And for pastels green and pink are the perfect Christmas touch,

Painting ceramics is fun, but man it takes a long time. Wait until you discover the snow texture paint. You will want to snow texture all your Christmas creations. Love the houses of all colors.
Definitely the gingerbread house, has me wanting to take another look at HobbyCraft cos they’ve got a load of wooden things to paint. The gold really ties it together and the glitter especially under the light 😘

I really enjoy these types of videos. Like Moriahs customizing things from a thrift store type videos too. There’s something about taking a dull, undecorated, item and making it beautiful, really makes me happy, cozy and at home.

Not sure if it would really be a holiday craft session without glitter going everywhere lol. The little houses turned out cute. The little house tags would be cute as ornaments also. I think I need to plan a trip to michaels. I want to paint random things too. Hope you have a good holiday.

It's interesting that the houses you painted on the three piece wooden set were pretty much the same colors you used on these wooden houses! 🤔 You now have a village! 😊 Home for the holidays theme. I love the gingerbread house!! 🎄 Im a glitter all the time gal!! ✨️ I'd have tried to find some ruby glitter for the red parts of the peppermints!!🤣
I have that same water bottle and I too use it for my daughter's hair and wetting paint pallets lol It's such a great spray bottle, isn't it?! I love the continuous mist for hair. My daughter has super curly hair and water is essential to taming it sometimes. I think I got a two pack on Amazon. Magic water bottles!

I just bought a cordless hot glue gun, I was expecting them to be hugely expensive but it was actually really affordable and the best part is that there's no cord to get tangled up in!

yep a real gingerbread house beats an art related gingerbread any day. the gingerbread smell wafting through the house and the extra candy from decorating you can grab to eat. i want to make a gingerbread house now lol

Instead of handprints for ur twins, maybe do their footprints on the hexagon and circle ordainments? That was just an idea I had lol idk if u already done them on something else😂
Haha, yeah we did their hands and feet already! We did salt dough ornaments instead. I'm going to save the circle and hexagon ornaments for next year, I think! :D

I love to read and I was wondering if u could make ur Peachy Pals, Delightful Earth\ Rainbow, ect. On a bookmark.
but I also have a merch idea,
You could create a new animal, like a hybrid. You could research around 2-3 animals and draw\ mix them together as one animal. You could put it on the front of a bookmark and on the back, you can write about it. Put the name on the top, put ur name underneath, write info about the creature, what inspired u to create it and then maybe put a tassel on top.

You say houses different to me! And I think I just wasn't expecting the difference, like with alumimium/aluminum, because I find it so jarring every time you say it! You say huh-ow-se-s (like the word house just an -s on the end). Whereas I, as a British person, say huh-ow-zs (so the -ses is sais quickly and without emphasis, it almost sounds like zz but not quite). Buzz, houses - the -zz and -ses sound fairly similar! What an unexpected difference of language!
Okay. I stole your idea from the first ‘paint on stuff from Michael’s’ video. I got that light up wooden house you did and painted my own. But now I see you also got some of those little house tags. I got those too! I haven’t decided what to do with mine yet. And I almost bought those chonky houses you painted in this video too!

Where did you get your paints that you used in this video that was paint the houses and gingerbread house ?
I usually get them from Blick’s or Michael’s! The Golden Heavy Body Acrylic is at both stores. The glitter paints were at Michael’s. The gold Acryla gouache was at Blick’s! Hope that helps!

10:53 I hate the holidays. It's such a hard time. Here we are 5 days til Christmas. Haven't been able to buy the first Christmas present for my kids. And don't know if I'm going to be able to. I wish there was no pressure or expectation to buy gifts and you can just watch movies, make cookies/bake, cook, and all the other fun things without having to spend a fortune. THAT part of the holidays I love. Edit: sorry. I almost deleted this but didn't. Sorry to be such a Debbie downer. I'm just having a hard time.

@@MiraByler thank you Mira. I'm sorry. I was having a very rough night last night processing all the emotions and stress I've been dealing with lately. I know the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of Christ and the salvation we have because of His sacrifice, and we will definitely celebrate that. I just wish the expectations weren't so high, ya know? My kids do understand and they are so sweet. I told them we might not have presents this year, from mom and dad, but we can still have fun. And my youngest, 12 yo boy, said, "it's okay momma. We understand." But still, we want to give our kids so much, and even more so when they say things like that! I feel much better today. Got some rest and I'm feeling more hopeful.

I cringe watching you mix the paint with your brush, moriah Elizabeth even told Chloe use a craft stick. I no longer mix paint with brushes and they last longer
