Damn, they killed it on this blade. I love functionality , before anything else. And this has a classically functional knife. And it's beautiful and concealable. Thanks for the video, sir.
Great looking knife, I could imagine this as not only a food prepper, but also as a table top knife, for eating. I could slice salami, onion, tomato, pepper, chease whatever with it, also the tip looks very good to use smear butter on the bread. But the sheath sucks, I could not carry it, except inside my bag. It needs a proper kydex sheath (fortunatelly I know a bunch of guys here where I live who makes great kydex sheaths).
@@LegionTacticoolCutlery I ordered the WF206 just right now, this WF229 will be the next one among the Watchman series. I also wanna get some 14C28N steel knives from Eafengrow, namely the EF125 and EF127. The EF124 has very similar handle to the EF125, but the blade is wider, which is good, but the tip looks much more fragile. This is why I rather will have the sleeker but stronger tip EF125 for an all arounder knife (but I bet my mom will "einstand" it for a kitchen all arounder😅). The EF127 looks just too good to miss. But those shiny screws on a hardcore tactical looking knife... man, that's a big mistake. But never mind... I also will need a Canku hatchet into my Toyota Corolla (I just love to do outdooring and anyway, having a good hatchet or two in the car is never being "over prepared"😁 - as I love to do "urbex-ing"👻🎃😱). "Einstand" means in Hungarian sleng (comes from old German language, expression) something taken away, appropriate something (usually by force).
👍Great review Gruggs. Looks like a bit of a cross between a Canadian Belt Knife and a Nessmuck. It should be a great skinner and camp food prep knife, great slicer at that thickness. 14c28n is a great steel and if correctly heat treated would be 58-60. Very nice 👌🙂.
Can't believe i missed this review. Im a big fan of watchman knives so far. I have the we222. It looks like a esee 3 just better in my opinion. I love the Canadian boat knife design. The first real good knife my parents got me for boyscouts was that design. If you ever come across a Grohmann. They were very budget friendly and a great knife. I can say the design held together again me. Buck can't say that, kershaw, gerber, swiss army all got destroyed. The original came with a great sheath as well. They have flaps. That's very important it helps from losing it. The biggest problem with swiss army knives. They seem to vanish. Well anyway what's your take on the 14c28n on watchman? Love your videos!
I've bought several watchman knives in what they call 14c28n . It's either not 14c28n or it's very very soft my edges weren't stable and would roll very easily sharpened it passed factory edge with no luck still very soft . Needless to say I got rid of them asap. Like their designs but application is lacking. Sucks cause they are gorgeous looking .
@@LegionTacticoolCutlery I'll buy just one more because I like the design ..., can't remember numbers for sure but I bought 2 of the w209 and 1 of the w205 knives off Amazon . seller was brother knives and they were butter soft. Sold them at a gun show for like 2 bucks each . Their kydex sheaths were hit and miss 1 of the 3 were good the other 2 , I had to heat and repress.

Well said, I couldn't agree more, sir.
It reminds me of a traditional Canadian Belt Knife design
🤘🏻
Hey Gruggs, that's a great knife for hunting and food prep.💯👍🏻⚓🇺🇲🇺🇲
Agreed!!!👍🏻
@@LegionTacticoolCutlery it has the classic looks of the Green River and Old Hickory butcher knives our ancestors carried across the country.💯👍🏻⚓🇺🇲🇺🇲
I don't hunt but this knife speaks to me.
It’s sooo nice for the money!

@@richardhenry1969 14c28n is done very well from Watchman from my experience. I think Grohmann is still around. No?
