I should note that this Size 50 Planet has been changed in a patch that came out after this video released. The planet and event still is in the game, but it is no longer size 50, it was reduced for balance reasons. The full details are available in the dev diaries. The other events this video covers, remain as of posting, unchanged.
balance reasons... of course. Would just force it to be size 50 anyways. was suppose to be the big planet. So it darned well will be the biggest planet
Now be aquatic origin and be able make it +3 size then use 2+ from nature master or that new civ them Explorer tradicion +1 distric them ring and now ecummopolis... Now you have your own hive world
Change it to a ocean word first. Add 3 more distincts (aquatic),add mastery of nature (two more distincts) and finally put a ring on it.(four more distincts)
The conjoined planets is such a cool event. It reminds me of the times I've come across planets that were crashing into each other in No Man Sky. The sight of it is just stunning, and I never expected to see it in Stellaris. The instant change of the alien to a blorg at the end caught me sooo off guard😂 thanks for the great video.
It is possible to get a size 50+ planet other than this way. There is a chance where a gas giant will get an anomaly, which will turn the gas giant into a barran world, with the help from azaryn(a legendary scientist paragon) you can teraform the world into a gaia world, and if you have the acology project AP this world will become the largest industrial planet in the whole galaxy
I can see how crimson crawlers be a world ending thing. Imagine a shipment mess up and they go into the wild of another planet. Reproduce and now are taking over the surface.
Some people are upset because the collided planet event isn't realistic, but I think the fact that it's an impossible, perfectly balanced anomaly, that is stabilized and turned into something even more beautiful and unique and thriving by the hand of sapient life is part of what makes the event so good. An entire, massive planet that is a monument to harmony between man and nature.
Well, whatever we think, Stellaris is only a fantasy and within it, everything is possible. This planet is amazing, should be rare and unique far more than Galatron itself, but why don't have it?
I got to say, for having played stellaris as long as I have, appreciate someone checking an old video btw. Playing long as I have, I suppose much of the lore has truly blended itself together and I never realized just.... how incredibly deep some of it is when you piece it together. Exceptional work, you made me cherish a game I already cherish even more. Thank you Redking, glad I found your channel.
@@Darlf_Sevil yes, I find myself doing that a lot some days where it's like same old, same old, then you realize.. when pieced together there is SO much more going on.

Hola I actually made a stunning exploration in the Tobeva System 2 days ago. The sun's closest celestial body Tobeva I is a massive 53-size barren planet, which can not be terraformed. But with Azaryn's help I managed to terraform it into a Gaia world. Adding Orbital Ring + 4 habitation-modules, Mastery of Nature some research grows it to a 61 district planet. Makes it such a marvelous ecumenopolis. A beacon of light in my star system.
hello! i was just wondering if it would be possible for you to make a video on the Phanon Corps and all their lore from ACoT, i know its been a while since youve touched any of their lore but it would be super cool.
I Have so many freakin mods that feel like they will NEVER update...ever! the impatient part of me wants to spam their pages until they submit to the nerd rage the other which wins, thankfully, is sitting back hoping people have time to fix stuff. Uggh.
I feel like the conjoined planets are a shout out to one of the more popular "glitches made features" in the Skies of No Man. I am immediately terrified of that space cat as i believe it to be a Shoggoth. Its a nanomachine blob just waiting to assimilate the universe.
Great video. The way you talk is so clear and fluent its pleasant to listen to. Also where do you source the official stellaris pictures? I saw some in the dev diaries but I couldn't find many original png's.
Thanks!! Glad you enjoyed it. I have to go into the game files to find the images as .dss then convert to png, then upscale to a resolution can use for the videos. It's a long process but worth it I think
@TheRedKing very interesting. I didn't think the images were upscale because of how good they look. I'll try that for myself because some of the images/art looks great.
I have a weird theoey on the hunters and how they destroyed the scourge galaxy. So there was a empire that died long ago the Zaroney? Basically they were massively psionic and ended up ending themselves. Basically they used psionics and the black hole at the centre of the galaxy grew... What if the hunters had some kind of Psionic mass wave that literally caused the black hole in the scourge galaxy to grow so massive it swallowed the entire galaxy? Would explain why the galaxy just blipped from existence
i got stellaris but i didn't know anything about the lore hardly these videos make me wanna buy up all the dlc and get lost in space also i think a fps version of stellaris would be cool too really get into the worlds and what not but i also am not a hundred percent sure how that would work but could be cool imagine seeing some of the events happening and seeing it from the surface of a planet (just a thought experiment)
Yea gravity tends towards spherical masses, so for sure. But, I mean, a lot of things in Stellaris are merely hypothetical and based on what we don’t understand lol
It is impossible, if one body is small enougth it gets torn apart when reaching roche limit (if it is spiroling into another), if it is big enougth colision destroy both planets
@@andrejmaslo5056 I think this is highly improbable but mathematically it is possible for the Roche Limit to be inside the radius of the primary body. If the secondary body was traveling slow enough it might have collided before reaching the Roche Limit. It would depend on the ratio of the densities of the two bodies and the speed of the collision. Again, highly unlikely but theoretically possible. I also think the aftermath of the collision wouldn't produce a combined object as shown in the game.
Did the devs change how planets or the size 50 planet in particular generate? In my recent save games the planet almost never generates and the one time it did it was like size 28 or something like that. Is that a bug or did the devs change that event?
