Love how you show all the different angles of the repair along with the in depth explanation on the tools used and the reason behind it all . Been in the traditional autobody industry going on 40 years and I am finding out you can teach an old dog a new trick or two . Great video
Hi Marty I appreciate you getting back to me quickly are you able to advise of what type of light to help me achieve clean dent removal on deep dents please be much appreciated if you can advise me. Thanks Awad
Hi Marty, I need some advice on removing deep dents out of panels I keep getting little lines in the centre of the Dent . Do you have any advice? Can you use a single fluorescent light to do these deep dents ? If you can help me please. Thank you Awad.
NICE JOB, I had a bodyshop in Long Beach California in the 70's and a friend who ran the Toyota import minor body repair section in the harbor told me about a couple of guys that took minor dents out Without damaging the paint, I did lead and metalfinishing, so he knew I was interested in this, one day he called and said the guys are here, you want to come down and watch? I said I'LL be right there. I watched them and they were good, they would do 30 - 40 cars a day, that was the first time I ever saw PDR. These guys made their own tools also. GREAT VIDEO.
Is it possible to use something like a contour gage to give a better idea of the shape of a dent and maybe even demonstrate how the metal can move as you work it?
Marty, is it possible to repair dents in the aluminium side walls of an RV, the type with the insulating layer underneath that you can't get behind, I've been told it's not possible because of the way aluminium stretches when dented
@ 8 minute mark... Give or take.. Would a line board make that look extremely messy... I only ever used a line board.. But I rarely see techs use them these days!
Should have just made them give you the socket. Put it on top and pound that dent right back down. Lmao. The tech got lucky that you are as good as you are.
Ya of all the account getters out there, this technique probably gets the most gratitude from the customer. I love hearing the WOW you can't even see it!!!
Buy kovak for finishing.. Give me a message I will send you link or send the products itself if you can't hmget it shipped! Zero bullsh#t this is a Japanese product.. No more wet sanding guaranteed

Thanks
Awad
It's different for everyone. Lots of reflections out there.
Thank you
You are so professional.
Thanks again for the demonstration. Do you have a video showing how to sharpen your knockdowns?
No, but use 400 grit sand paper and sharpen them on the edge by rolling it across the sandpaper.

Awad.
Those lines are cornrows, see the video I did one this subject. No a fluorescent light is not a good light to use for deep dents.
Wish me luck...ive got something similar soon. Just alot bigger. Thanks for the best video .
Yup. I've done many worse than that.
Always I got a good info from watching your work. Thanks a lot.

Excellent video as always Marty!
Thanks Sasha,
Is it possible to use something like a contour gage to give a better idea of the shape of a dent and maybe even demonstrate how the metal can move as you work it?
I have a couple videos that show close ups of the metal moving while pushing.
👍👍 Thanks for sharing this great little technique, excellent explanation🔨
Thanks a lot Matt. Hope it makes you money.

You can glue pull these as long as the metal isn't stretched. There are also some heat techniques that will work.
Hi Marty, just wondered, do you offer one on one training, If so how can I get in touch
Hi Philly all that info is here topgunpaintlessdentrepairtrainingschool.com/pdr-training/beginners-course
thanks for sharing Amigo! Be Blessed
You bet Jimmy
Great work. But why didn't you just flip the panel over and pull the dent out?
Doesn't work that way on major outies like this, the paint would have been destroyed. This does a much faster and cleaner job.
@@TopGunPDRTraining OK thanks. Does that suggest that paint has a memory like metal?
No memory just very flexible.
Thank you!!!
Thanks Pavel.
Your videos are excellent! I went to the wrong PDR school. I've learned more from your videos than in person with my trainer.
Thanks Jason. Sorry to hear about your bad experience with training.
@ 8 minute mark... Give or take.. Would a line board make that look extremely messy... I only ever used a line board.. But I rarely see techs use them these days!
All depends on the tech. IMO most people do better with some type of fog
Wow!
чтоб не морочится со стойкой можно использовать неодимовый магнит
Как он поможет? Стойка это упор.
do you ever use the really old fashioned tin bashing method ,a leather bag filled with sand under the dent?
Yes I do, but not for this type repair. The rubber block works better for this.
Nice.. What a neat lil trick 👍😉
Ya it's definitely a money making technique
