  • The Pont du Diable canyon sees loads of guided tours. When we were there on a sunday, we had at least 5 groups behind us. Looking back, we saw the guides make use of the canyon in ways we did not see on the first run, though of course this is always the case with commercial canyons.
Pont du Diable is quite short, and as such can easily be combined with other canyons in the area. It offers beautiful and, if you're brave enough (which we weren't) high jumps, as well as very narrow sections. All in all a gorgeous canyon, and I am jealous that the canyons that I occasionally guide are not as beautiful as this one.
    Parking: 45°43'52.8"N 6°06'33.3"E
Ascent: From the parking space head north-east on the D61A. On the left of the bridge, head down into the canyon. Alternatively, head south from the parking area on a path that leads down to the beginning of the narrow part, skipping the first open section. (3 min)
Descent: Beautiful, aquatic, very dangerous with high flow. Max rappel ca. 15 m. (1,5 h)
The way back: After the narrows of the canyon open up again, a path leads back up on the right. Stay on this side of the canyon, and follow the path back to the parking area. (20 min)
