Yeah it’s amazing how pipes affect these engines I’m more interested in torque right off the bat instead of RPM. Speed can be corrected for RPM through gears with the correct torque.
Nice vid..I just places order on my king motor baja 30.5 cc and was wondering if you have ran the thoar pipe and if so what's your thoughts on it? Eventually I want to try out a tmr engine!
Brother I have not run the Thor pipe... and to be honest with you I wouldn’t waste your time on TMR performance... you will be waiting for months maybe even years for your engine....
I just tried the thor pipe on my 30.5cc. Now so far it seems to be bogging it down but I never really tuned it after I swapped the dominator pipe out. I am gonna try some more test and tune maybe even go back to 17/57 gearing to see what happens.
Hey my dude! Nice as ever !! First of all ,sorry that I havent comment your videos for some weeks now, but due a problem and its treatment of my arms, I wasn"t able to do so..Anyway it"s getting better and better ,so I was able to took my FG yesterday out to a quick brap ;-) I had tried to optimize my carb setting ,due the small issue that whenever I pull the engine hard for a certain time to hin max speed ,it has began to lose a noticeable amount of torque at the low end in order that the truck dont wanna make wheelies anymore till I wait some amount of time..So I assume that the engine was running to lean in order that its getting to hot when I push them hard.. So I had rich the H needle out till the powerloss at the low end nearly disappears..I was able to do this, but I "m prety sure that this proccedure has cost me RPM"s at the high end.. Or its normal to have a slightly power (torque ) lost at the low end after take a prelonged topspeed run? What do you think about it? Nice regards ,god bless you!
@@Meyers2strokeRcgarage It"s a Zenoah 260RC01 with a speedtec Isolator ,603B walbro carburator and a AMS Jetpro pipe. Thanks brother! Ps: I just came home from another late evening "after work" brap ,this time the FG Monster was running better and at higher RPM after some full speed braps (It was stored for some months )..However , it still have a slightly torque loss after that I run it for a longer period ob full speed ,but its better than before..The hottest part of the engine which i was able to measure has had 87°C (round about 189 °F ) .
@@voneboy it sounds like you might be experiencing heat soak when the engine warms up. Your engine temperatures are good to me. How many hours on the engine or how much fuel has it consumed?
@@Meyers2strokeRcgarage With the temperature to which I have set up the H needle today ,it was a lot better.. I had rebuild the engine with new bearings , piston, piston ring ,isolator ,gaskets and carb round about 6 liters ago (in the end of the last season ) , so it"s pretty fresh .. I think that the H needle yesterday would had be first to lean and the overrichen..before I had today start to tune the "h" needle I" ve had run it warm and the Engine war running way to cool (68°C / 154 ° C ) after that I leaned the H needle till it has reached 189°F ,I started to revs a lot better !! It feels now almost perfect for me, but I just notice a slightly torque failure at the low end range as soon as I push the engine for a couple of minutes to his limits..However now it"s a lot better!!! Thank you brother! earlyer or later the only way to go is to swap to a stronger engine in order to be able to run also bigger gear ratios..Something like a tuned 290 or so.. The bad thing about the FG Monster it"s that its nearly impossible to fit something bigger than a 290 on it..However,I love this truck !! Have a nice evening and be blessed !
Sounds like you got it figure it out brother I don’t know if I helped but I’m always here to bounce ideas off of. Have a great blessed evening yourself brother!!!
I've listened to the two recordings side by side over and over again and I can't I can barely tell the difference
The difference is only a few hundred RPMs 😉👍🏼
Oh, ok, so not that drastic of a difference to justify buying one it's my thought.
Crazy how a pipe can effect performance that much. Sweet rip

Definitely needs higher gearing! Awesome video
Where can I get the power pipe or the rmp pipe, I am waiting for my 30.5cc baja to come in the mail
