Dude i ❤ my 30.5 Rovan, i upgraded the gear to steel from stock, put me an all black dual exhaust on it, gave it a metal performance air filter, and took the 1500mah out and put a 5000mah hump pack in....and she rips...i mistakenly adjusted the high end needle with no experience and it sounds PERFECT...not to rich or lean...it helps with my PTSD i got from the military....i ❤ my PS5 but i don't want to get bored with my game and my Rovan gets me out the house....it's only 2 weeks old, and i know she is only gonna get faster with my small upgrades and time 👊🏾❤
Nice rip brotha! I heard about your channel from Jeff at Eastside RC and am glad I started watching. I just got my first Rovan Baja about a month ago with the same set up. The ground is finally dry enough to start breaking it in so it’s awesome to see all this stuff on a new Baja. I also ordered a TMR 30.5 long rod that I’m waiting to get. Think I’ll run the stock one for a bit before I put that in.
I got a 29cc Baja atm with loads of Taylor upgrades including the Taylor side pipe did wake the 29cc up a lot and a VSTACK just need high flow fuel lines now I'm also going to buy a 30.5 big bore kit and I'm also getting a Taylor 35 next week but have to wait till Christmas so the engine I have now will be ready for anther build either a hybrid or a Baja
So why does rovan tell you to do heat cycles and use 25:1 to break these in? You are proving that we don't need to do that. A video on that would be cool. Thanks!
I was just going through my Baja owners manual and nowhere in the instructions does it ever say to run any heat cycle. The reason people do it is because they come from the nitro world and I guess that’s what you do in the nitro world.
🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 my boy just got done saying that when he got his 5T 2.0 I don't have no time for break in I ain't never break in a weed eater this shit going full throttle out the box
Yeah you don't need to idle those engines for 5 tanks, then run it slow for the next 5 etc... Just run'em! I worked on small engines for 30 years and every piece of 2 stroke equipment from cheap homeowner Poulan's to the expensive commercial grade Stihl's and Echo's etc... were all run full throttle out of the box day in and day out with absolutely no problems. The key is to run a good quality mineral 2 cycle oil and don't run it too lean or too rich. And keep everything clean, maintained, taken care of and it'll last a long time.
@@Meyers2strokeRcgarage do you think i should get the 30.5 to learn on and beat on and then get a 36 or a 45 to swap in? Is it super hard to swap in a motor like that. Can i even swap in a 45 in a Baja 5b?
Your engine tune skills are awesome and it sounds perfect brother Ben 👌👍
Thanks my brother!!! This little 30.5 impressed me today that’s for sure!!!

Thanks brother and I’m glad to help you out I I love this hobby and everything about it brother 🤜💥🤛
The 30.5 is very impressive! I'm loving mine. And I like that you're breaking it in the right way. By running it.
Thanks brother gripped and ripped that’s the only way to do it!!!
Nice job Ben! Grip n rip right out the box its how we do!
That’s right my brother!!!

Love the vid mate looks like am geting a km001 soon
You are going to love it they are such a blast 💥
@@Meyers2strokeRcgarage cheers mate cant wait
I may just get a 36. Do you think the extra 100 or so dollars is worth the difference between the 30.5 and a 36
Yes definitely worth the money as long as it’s single ring 36
@@Meyers2strokeRcgarage what is the difference for rings and how would i know that
@@charliemaybe rovanrc.com still sells the single ring kit 😎

@@charliemaybe yep 👍🏼
Does that c12 have lead in it? If it does that could be a reason why 100:1 mix is working well
Yep 👍 shush 🤫 nobody likes the stuff
@@Meyers2strokeRcgarage well anybody who runs race fuel won’t mind
Dose the vp 110 race fuel have lead in it
Yep 👍🏼
What did you use to break it in? 25:1 or 50:1
100:1 Brother
100:1 mr Ben does it all at 100:1! 25:1 is old school ways!
Good rip my brother
Thanks brother this little 30.5 is pretty impressive!!!
100 to 1 😂
