Nowhere in the world is Volkswagen considered an “enthusiast’s “brand. It is fanboys who have inflated this idea in their mind and social media, Instagram reels adds fuel to it. As the brand director himself said “we are a mass market brand” it’d be prudent to focus on these words, note them down or get it tattooed on your forehead. Volkswagen is not Audi or BMW or Porsche. Every brand that is focused on the passenger segment, making comfortable, utility driven vehicles like Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, Volkswagen may have a specific department that modifies their stock cars and tunes them to be faster (Honda has Type R, Hyundai has the N line, Toyota has the GR Sports, VW has the GTI line etc) but they are still not built as cars for enthusiast drivers from the ground up like a BMW or a Porsche is It is sad that we don’t get good cars in India and people with Polos and Virtus, Jettas, Civic and tuned Octavia VRS think they are enthusiast drivers. So I totally agree with Mr Ashish Gupta when he says there are people who “think they are enthusiasts” Social media is not a correct representation of market demand and supply forces. He may act all friendly to pseudo enthusiasts like TheRacemonkey but ultimately he’s responsible for churning profits for his company. Not to cater to what instagram pages like “PoloLoverforeva9900” who can’t tell a spark plug and a fuel injector apart, have to say.
Absolutely, totally, wholeheartedly agree. Loved the idea of getting a tattoo 😂 Fanboys should srsly consider it. Also maza aa gaya kaise by Gupta ne is chaman ko respond kiya. Incredible. Hey kindly convey a message to Ashish Sir, that we don’t want loads of features. As a fan of VW we need pure performance car. In fact having too many features in a car makes us deviate from driving and keep controlling those unnecessary features. Give us tanker like Body, amazing engine, accelerator, breaks & lights. Engine sound of VW is in itself a Music to my ears.
First I thought why you commented like this but then I listen to this guy and I realised that you are right he is talking like typical Lala at a shop not like a head of German company why these people think like that there cars are selling because other brands don’t have that build quality which there’s have already degraded but Indian people with RUclips have created awareness but it doesn’t mean you make cheap and small cars in name of make in India since Hyundai and kia are also making it in India and overall they are really good and people also want to buy there car but they are not an upgrade to even cars like polo or rapid so why you want us to pay 20 lacs for those car just this is the concern India buyer has

This was neatly done. I feel however that another set of questions could have come up : how improve the overall service quality at VW service centers and the quality of some parts that are failing early. The guy mentioned that vw is taking time in contrast to other car manufacturers to launch their products. Is that time properly used to clear all those quality concern before launching the product and ensure the technicians are well versed in their domains for the relief of us consumers?
VW group cars here needs MAINLY these things: 1. Better interior plastic/build quality 2. Virtual cockpit 3. Better choice of wheels 4. ADAS as Mahindra, Honda & Hyundai, etc are already providing it. All the above suggestions are being provided region wise but not customer wise which can revolutionize VW group cars.
most likely next diwali. The car also misses out on other essential features like 360 camera, better camera quality, rear disk, better AC, floor lights etc.
I would to like to buy polo again same as pocket rocket in traffic and parking simple and superb addition 👌 but no for other vw variants I don't spend money , if they don't concentrate on mid size segment audience sure i bet VW next after ford to leave india .😮😮
That doesn't look like a CEO mindset at all in terms of customer perspective! It was sad to see this long live VW in india. Indian CEO has to out of that mindset saying this is india whatever we throw at the customer with just a brand will sell !!!! That's really really bad....
very disappointing response on the POLO. One of the smart looking cars that was accessible to the middle class as well. Rest of the VW cars now a days, you would not turn back to look at it
Current gen polo available in European market is 4+ mtrs long so it does not make a sense economically to launch it in india as it will go 15 lacs +. Are u ready to pay 15 lacs for a hatchback????
@@vedantbhalgama3531 not bigger than European polo. It is exactly the same as European polo in internal space. Being a sedan , obviously boot space is higher

What an insulting answer “ think to be enthusiasts “ . There is no scale to this, it’s just pure passion. Sad that it comes from the CEO himself.

they won't for sure bro :(
MQB 2.0 vehiles are build quality decreased.
Better go with Tata or Mahindra..
