Recently, I thought of replacing my second car and having a safe and fun -to-drive car. After doing thorough research, I found that there are not many options available. You may get a safe car but poor in dynamics. You may get a future-filled car that is poor in safety and dynamics. The presence of Skoda/VW is very much needed to improve this segment, irrespective of their sales. If polo were not there, we middle-class Indians would still have been given substandard cars from mass-market producers. Germans compelled them to produce better cars. This is a fact. If Germans disappear again, monopoly will come, and we won't have better choices. In the old days Maruti was differentiating their variants Lxi Vxi, Lx, VX with insignificant peripheral futures. Kylaq will redefine the segment in terms of engineering aspects. People should come out of stigma and at least go and have a test drive of their vehicles. Nobody should get 50% market share. It should be distributed evenly so that more players should be able to sustain themselves, which is better for customers to get better technology at a lower cost.

Hi Skoda, if you dont fix basic skoda car problems like Ac, Music system, camera quality, back bucket seats which make middle person journey very uncomfortable, high maintaince cost etc i dont see any chance to compite in this segment.
Starting price 7.99 and top model 15.99 lakh bit top model needs to have rain sensing wipers , 360 camera, blind monitor, ADAS LEVEL 2. 6 airbags, ABS, hill assist,EBD, 7 inch infotainment.

If more than that , apne pair pe hi kuladhi mar dega skoda .
I am Mr Nobody but what I believe that within 9.7 approx lakhs onroad price if they are able to provide a base level model vehicle with 16 inch wheel , 6 airbags, projector headlamps with comfortable seats while keeping the provision for installation of company made rear view cam and music system at additional cost may be appealing to lot of customers.
For Skoda it's a Do or Die situation. *Joh dikhta hai Woh Bikta hai.* But after 20+ years Skoda is yet to develop that trust & confidence among Indian buyers. Reason being their history of Cars being expensive to buy & Very high Cost of Maintenance.
People in India always tend to get the German Cars Serviced outside and then when Problems occur they go to the Service Center and then claim that the Ownership Cost is Too High I am using German Cars from Past 10 Years and never Faced a Single Issue , I had a TDI Polo and TDi Rapid and the Service Cost was around 13-15K Every year and have never faced any issue, Where as a Diesel Swift owned by Friend usually got serviced at 8-9k in Service center and at 10000 kms where as Service in Skoda / VW is at 15000 Kms . Also now I own a TSi Polo and 1.0L Kushaq and I am absolutely Happy with the Peformance . TSi is a Gem of an Engine and on Highways the Mileage is amazing . In city also when Traffic is Moderate I easily get 15-16 KMPL in Delhi - Noida Traffic .

Why u people are giving 0W-20 rated oil, its not for indian weather conditions.India conditions needed 5W-40 oil. Worst power tune for indian conditions, we dont need high end rpm power. Skoda in india is….. 1) providing the disastrous service on par with scrapping business.. once you book the car, then your count down dooms day starts…and the peak of dooms day is date your car delivery… 2) mahaveer skoda always makes fake promises and sells the cars and then problem starts…the service… once you give ur car for service …the original parts will be replaced with dirty old parts and you will be forced to buy new products.. they will say insurance wont cover it.. 3) during the vehicle service time, they will send your vehicle for test drive for new custmers… 4) they wont take care of the vehicle during service period, so you will get back your car in a partially damaged condition either internally exchanged parts or externally dents.. or both things can happen … endof the day,,, nobody will solve this issue.. Even if you send quiries to higher authorities.. etc… nobody cares… In one line… If u want someone life miserable, then make them buy skoda cars…. Enough… their will die of that sickness… its worse than a curse… Life is more miserable than jail life.. …. No onedares to say these things…
Indian buyers will buy this car like anything if Skoda takes Radar Level 2 ADAS, 10" Infotainment screen , Individual tyre suspension, All disc brake and White interior from Mahindra 3XO and provide same in Kylaq.

My point is after so many years these companies have lagged behind competitors in terms of poor service network , service cost and to some extent generating new model infact they discontinued some affordable models by average Indian like Polo.. Majority customers spending average of 11 lakhs - 20 lakhs needs some trust and assurance that these two sisters senior VW and junior Skoda will remain in Indian market even after demonstrating poor sales figure. Target to sell only premium segment vehicles may prove fatal for them. Toyota realised this better than VW group therefore tied up with EMPEROR SUZUKI to sell all type of vehicles from hatchback to SUV gradually improving their sales fig. Better for VW and Skoda to tie up with TATA and release rebadged versions. Win Win situations for both party as Tata will have access to superior engine/parts while Europeans get the mass market models. Otherwise European sisters will have to join the league of GM and Ford

Skoda India's aftersales service is practically nonexistent, offering no resolutions to these issues. Their long-standing practice of neglecting customers and failing to deliver proper support is nothing short of a scam.
Indians wanting all the features is a very misunderstood point. Indians don't necessarily want features rather a complete package. Only a few % of Indian buyers want features and these chapris are all over youtube. In real world its different. Taigun/Kushaq is not a complete package. You can't even sit 5 people in it after spending 15-20 lakhs, its too small. Expensive parts, less reliable than competition. Hence no sales. Goodbye VW.

He is not a good leader. I raised my concern with him regarding the fraud Skoda dealers are doing with its customers still he did not take any action. I am totally disappointed with the after sales service of Škoda. He says his focus is on improving customer requirements on the contrary he cares least about it.

Skoda - Simply Breakdown. Volkswagen - Das Breakdown Epc, Mechtronics, dsg, gearbox, clutch in new cars, injector, fuel pumps everything or anything fails within short period. Anytime, Anywhere, Anyhow breakdown guranteed. Anchor : she should ask why all their car models have serious breakdown issues & failures. Failure models or failure engineering or over engineered cars. Reliability is completely zero or negative. Beyond this their petrol turbo, just gives single digit mileage on city & horrible just 4kms on hills, 5 to 8 on city, indian cities traffic conditions & petrol prices these cars are "SIMPLY WASTE". In the future, petrol prices & traffic are going to increase in India, with this single digit mileage cars on city & hills is complete garbage..

After Kylaq, Skoda must introduce a premium hatchback to counter i20, Baleno, Altroz.
