    I carry a very small refillable spray bottle that used to hold natural breath spray. I use it to wet down my colors. I have recently bought a nice .3 lead mechanical pencil to lightly sketch in the scene before I do anything else. I found it at Hobby Lobby. I'm not confident enough yet to go directly into using the ink first. Also take along a kneaded eraser which is useful for many things. One of my sets is a small Rembrandt box and I glued a magnet to a large plastic cap so that I can use it as a small water cup and put it directly on the mixing area for holding. I have a tiny W&N box but it doesn't have the attached water container or metal cup. I have seen a very similar set by Schminke on Amazon. Tempted to buy it but haven't yet.
    I've become addicted to your videos. Keep up the good work!

      Not all their inks are waterproof.

      +Teoh Yi Chie Thanks. I found an artist, Jamie Williams, who has tested inks for lightfastness. The Noodler's grey wasn't quite as good as their black, but it dries more quickly, so i thought i'd try it. hudsonvalleysketches.blogspot.ca/2012/12/lightfastness-test-results-on-noodlers.html

    Hi Teoh, Thank you for sharing your small and light travel set. I have a similar set up, and a very small watercolor kit (originally a children's set) that I took the paint out of and replaced with M. Graham watercolors. I too use waterbrushes. I wanted to pass along a great tip that I have gotten in my journeys....I cut the top of my older socks off, and use the wide banded area around my wrist to clean off my waterbrushes. When it's full of paint, I throw it in the washing machine or cut up another old sock.
    I would like to know the brand of your compact stool. Could you also tell us where you purchased it?
    Thank you!

      +corikay I bought that on eBay. It's a brandless stool. www.ebay.com.sg/itm/Portable-Alumium-Folding-Stool-Chair-Fishing-Camping-Outdoor-Seat-Carry-Bag-/171790293285?

      Teoh Yi Chie what size nib do you use or recommend on an A5 book? F or EF?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  7 лет назад

      You can use either F or EF on A5. It really comes down to your personal preference. Whether you prefer a thicker or thinner line. E.g. I prefer F or M nib so I use that on all sizes of paper.

    Oh okay Thanks!!!! Yeah I've been fooling around with the scanner i have with my printer...i think I've figured it out!!! :D ONE last question the palette you linked me ..if im starting out but want to have nice quality water colors should i start out with the one you linked or should i get something cheap since im a beginner

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  8 лет назад

      +Ashley Abastillas If you're a beginner, I recommend something cheap. That small palette has limited mixing area and is quite frustrating to work with.
      It depends on how much budget you have. I would buy an empty metal box (usually $30) and then get 15ml tubes. As a beginner, don't get too many colours. Just get the primary colours. If you have budget get two sets of primary colours. You can check out which colours to get in my post at www.parkablogs.com/content/colours-pick-12-pan-watercolour-palette

    Thanks for the video! Just wondering what ink you have in your pen?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  8 лет назад +1

      +Vicki Wood I use Noodler's Bulletproof Black ink. They only come in 90ml bottles. Waterproof but it takes longer than other ink to dry.

      +Teoh Yi Chie I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS BTW. Can you create a video on how to scan your drawings so i can have it on the computer from a sketchbook?
      And what software u use?

    • @teohyc
      @teohyc  8 лет назад

      Ashley Abastillas Do you have a scanner? I use a Canon scanner. For software, I use the default software in the Mac called Image Capture.
