@@mustin07doesgaming I personally don’t mind if a rule is broken every now and then. These are anthropomorphic vehicle shows, they should have some freedom or ideal logic to explain the inconsistency. Perhaps the trains their shunt cars into their own set up correction.
Bro I still have some of the trains from this show like woohoo, aero, and bull I’m 20 years old and that’s a part of my childhood I’m not ready to let go yet
Steamer and Samuel save the day was also a CGI Episode with much Trouble that they even Made different paintjobs and a strange plot to that episode due to it being the only one to be CGI Tested
Looking back I wonder why I watched the episodes so much 😂, I guess it was out of what for the toys if I’m honest and I only ever had 2 one of which was lost and the other broke on me. At least I know a lot of voice actors from this made it to other projects
I used to be so addicted to this show for good reasons. 1. The music, the episodes even the main intro were very upbeat, catchy and memorable. (Plus, I think the new version of the theme song was pretty catchy.) 2. The characters felt real and sympathetic at least, (Aero and Eric felt very relatable, because most people have a tendency to be quick-witted and jumpy, Goggles and Bunsen really are the intelligent characters in this life, Darrel and Loopy are pretty hilarious, and Brutus and Victor have some pretty memorable moments where they provide annoyance but humor to the audience.) 3. The trains were pretty damn cool to look at, even from a cartoonish modern show. Fast, smart, sleek and efficient, these trains provide moments of intensity and entertainment.
I wouldn’t mind if you did a Nostalgic Obscurity video on Bionicle. I remembered you mentioned you’re a fan of the franchise, and it makes me happy knowing there’s WoF fans that also like Bionicle
Mattel had missed a big opportunity to make Thomas trains for the Geotrax line. In all honesty, they should've just done that in the first place and let a more competent company buy out Hit Entertainment.
Did you pick up on the 2009 Timber Town railway disaster? It was briefly mentioned in Samuel's journal in the background of "Steamer and Samuel Save the Day."
Even though this series wasn't much it had the potential to be another popular train based series after Thomas (and before Chuggington) had Fisher-Price decide to make a full series.
I remember this show vividly and now looking back on this show while removing my nostalgia glasses, this show aged poorly in my personal opinion anyway but I don't think it was the worst show ever made.
Brilliant video Charcoal. This is definitely one of those shows where you’re not supposed to question the logic. I’ve always let it wash over me whenever I watch this show. But I still feel that this show had a lot of potential. I wish a full 3 season series of like 39 episodes, 1 season in each style of the series was made, was made, and aired on TV, like Rescue Heroes. Looking forward to seeing you review more shows you’re nostalgic for.
Also, I’d like to point out that just like in Thomas, some of the trains seem to resemble real life trains. Aero for example seems to be based on the Class 390 Pendolinos we have in my country. And Knight seems to be based on the Silver Streak Zephyr trains. Woohoo seems to be based on the Pennsylvania Railroad GG1s. And Brutus seems to be a streamlined New York Central Railroad Hudson. All the others I can’t really make out though.
I recently rewatched the series, and yea, it was mediocre. Oddly, on the full collection DVD, the steamer and Samuel episode was the first one shown. The other 3 were after. I remember that to be very confusing as a kid, since the characters being introduced were in the previous episode. But this show is nostalgic as heck to me, so it gets a pass.
god I remembered GeoTrax, I had the dvd a very long time ago, but it was destroyed. simply because I was either 2, or 3, I can't completely remember. but man I loved this show, I wished there was a complete remaster of the entire series, new visuals, new soundtrack, new voice acting, and better story.
God I miss GeoTrax--the specials were excellent, even if the animation was kinda wack at times. Also the first time I was introduced to Matt Hill's voice, before rediscovering him years later in DinoTrux
I remember the day I saw this show I was upset about something I don’t remember what I was sad and upset about I remember my mom feeling so bad for me she gave me this as an early birthday present I was so happy watching this show I remember the ghost train episode it scared the shit out of me I remember yelling oh dear god when I saw the ghost train eventually I got bored of watching it over and over and over again and then my mom put it on the shelf and I forgot about it
I'm glad I never watched this show or had these toys as a little kid. But three moons the first time I ever watched HTTYD; that's how I fell in love with dragons 🐉 😍
12:22 Brutus is an American steam engine, which they are by the way really stronger than the ones in Europe (in Sheffield’s case.) Plus with Bull and Aero’s strength because they’re diesels, they could ge the job done in time. Besides this show is about teamwork, what don’t you understand?!
This may be pretty ridiculous once you look back on it, but you have to admit that both themes are indeed FIRE. I first watched this when I was two, but didn’t really get it until I was probably around four, and you may have just ruined my childhood.
Funny story, but when I was watching a clip from Transformers: Energon, I had a feeling that the voice of Ironhide sounded kinda familiar. I looked up his actor (Matt Hill) and found out that he's also the voice of Eric in the Geotrax series.
Hmmmmmm. Interesting. I still have my old flip-track Train set from Fisher-Price somewhere, and it has those peg couplers on the front and a loop on the back to connect them. I agree that I'm glad this didn't continue. Great job with this project. Looking forward to more of it
I remember growing up in the early 2000s going to Target and finding these toys on the shelves. A shame they were discontinued, I’d kill if this brand continued.
Geotrax Is The Worst Show Ever Because It Only Has Four Episodes And It’s Not A Full Tv Series. Thomas And Friends Is Way Better Than Geotrax And Chuggington.
Finally, somebody talks about the most-overlooked animated series in history.
I don't know what you mean the second theme song goes hard!
I love how you pointed out all the logical inconsistencies in the show
I disagree with the inconsistencies, most shows have these but GeoTrax lacks that in world-building and character driven stories.
@@rmgilyardthat’s what I was thinking too. Or how a lot of the things that happen don’t seem to add up like with the inconsistent couplers

When I first heard that name, I at first thought He was married to Canadian voice actress Nicole Oliver but later found out they had no relation
They needed more recognition!
Ahhh yes I remember watching Thomas the Tank Engine as a young dragonet... 🤣

I was thinking that instead of Brutus and Victor being the villain , it would be Diesel 10 and P.T. Boomer .
"I like trains" hahaha - wonderful edit.
Your edits are better imo mate, but WoC is good too 😅
Did you pick up on the 2009 Timber Town railway disaster? It was briefly mentioned in Samuel's journal in the background of "Steamer and Samuel Save the Day."
I love these and watched them all the time growing up. But Jesus! The plots of these episodes make Misty Island Rescue feel like a college lecture.
I’d rather watch all of these GeoTrax episodes back to back three times over than watch Misty Island Rescue even once
@@CharcoalsDen please do a review of Lionelville: Destination Adventure

This had me laughing out loud, glad I wasn't the only one baffled by the magic coupling system used in these episodes!
It looks like the same animation as Lionelville destination adventure

This dude's train obsession background is literally just like mine. Only, I had every episode of the Geotrax animated series on DVD.

To me, Aero reminded me of an Amtrak Genesis.
@@RailfannerJonesNah, he’s much closer to the Pendolinos.
The evil guy’s train is the PRR S1
@@akioasakura3624 Right. Didn’t find that out until relatively recently.
Woohoo's an NYC S-Motor. Also, Brutus is a PRR K4, not an S1.
I mean the show was made for toddlers and young children so it really doesn’t have to make much sense

I disagree. This show wasn’t bad at all.
God i loved this show so much as a kid that i would go back just to listen to the first episode like 5 times.

Brian Drummond is one of my most-favorite voice actors.
Especially from my childhood, in *GeoTrax* and *Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5.*
Me to best train nostalgic shows were: thomas and friends chuggington and geotrax
Same bro.
Most of the voices I recognized from the Hot Wheels Highway 35/Acceleracers series.

Fun Fact, Steamer Has The Same Whistle Sound As Fergus From Thomas And Friends.
Someday it’s going to have a reboot
I had lots of geotrax I would build a big track that would take a whole room and still have extra I also had all four episodes
I think the real reason why the episodes are kind of bad is because they have more fun with animating the series than writing the story
This series is like Thomas & Friends + Chugginton, but combined with PAW Patrol because each character has their own vehicle.
Could geotrax be continued again or any one could say they own the brand because noone owns it

Bad Writing? Did This Predict the TTTE Miller Era?
This writing is not bad or lazy, it’s written well done and has friendship moments into it.
Geotrax is my childhood
Well on Amazon it seems like Geo track is still around
Oh no its the animated series of geotrax
Oh I see bull sheffield And old rust don't have front couplers 😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐😐
So what if they don’t have couplers?
Well if you're planning to make a video like this could you please do Planet Heroes it's also from Fisher price
The real kids grew up with the Geotrax that were made before the ones that had the figures

I still have my Fender-Squire Stratocaster I got when I was 13. 🤘
They own trains like they own cars and they predicted the idea of using personal vehicles for delivery like Uber or a DoorDash, so it's not horrible 🤪

There was a fith episode but them at was awful
